Fable: The Journey gets a new E3 Trailer

Last year at this time, we really didn’t know what to think of the Fable: The Journey clip that Microsoft had on display. We seen a few hands slap together, magic executed, and that famous narrator chime in, but other than that, a lot of us were left scratching our heads if the game was on rails. A huge debacle followed, but now it looks like that Peter Molyneux was actually right. Fable: The Journey is indeed not on rails.

The result however is a bit..different than the regular Fable series. If this title didn’t actually say Fable, I honestly would think we were looking at Medieval Moves. The art style is a bit cartoony and campish, but this could come together as a fine product if the Kinect controls work as advertised.

Forza Horizon Showcased At Microsofts E3 Conference

Earlier today in Microsofts E3 conference they revealed their newest entry to the Forza series, Forza Horizon. The game looks like it’s taking a slightly different approach to the franchise with (what we saw and interpreted as) its emphasis on street racing and law dodging as opposed to straight up racing on pre-defined and realistic tracks.

The game also looks like it’ll be sporting a nice Brostep soundtrack which is incredibly popular with todays generation of youth. Fortunately the game is still visually stunning and the cars still maintain their just waxed aesthetics that really emphasise the sense of sport with the vehicles.

Splinter Cell: Blacklist Coming Spring 2013

One of the clear highlights of Microsoft’s Xbox 360 E3 2012 Press Conference was easily Splinter Cell: Blacklist, shipping spring 2013.

Splinter Cell: Blacklist is set to be the most ambitious Splinter Cell to date, set on the Iraq boarder. This time around Sam Fisher must stop the next black list attack by going behind enemy lines. Gameplay appears to be not unlike Splinter Cell: Conviction with a strong focus on maneuvering through environments quickly and fluently although it’s presentation certainly appears more gritty.

As a new play control game can utilize Kinect voice control. By saying “Hey You” players can draw the attention of near by opponents for a surprise attack, and saying “Grim, Now!” will issue a military air strike. This is a new form of control never seen in the Splinter Cell universe before and is sure to bring new gameplay experiences unlike any other.

Splinter Cell: Blacklist is shipping Spring, 2013 and is sure to be one hell of an exciting title! For now, check the gameplay footage below.

Dance Central 3 will teach you how to Dougie

We all seen it coming, as the music genre loves hitting repeat. Harmonix brought about Dance Central 3 during Microsoft’s big press conference, displaying the new tracks that players can expect to see. We heard a bit of hip hop, a good amount of pop, and the usual fare, but this time around it seems Harmonix struck an endorsement deal with Usher, as he was also in attendance to promote his likeness (as an on-stage choreographer) and tracks for the game.

A three minute performance followed, which was a bit out of place for the event, but at least Dance Central fans have something to look forward to. I do wish they would have shown a bit more of the actual product though, as the entire concert seemed to promote nothing and no one other than Usher and his new single. Expect Dance Central 3 out this fall – along with Usher’s many endorsements. Check out the new trailer and song from the event down below.

Xbox Music announced, Zune Who?

At their E3 2012 press conference Microsoft revealed a new service they have coming up called Xbox Music, which is basically their Zune service but um.. they forget they already had it? Well any ways they have a new music service that does pretty much exactly what their Zune music service did, but now it seems Microsoft are forgetting that Zune ever existed.

This is clearly Microsoft’s attempt to compete with iTunes, which of course will undoubtedly fail. So with Zune rolling in it’s grave, Xbox Music jiving and jamming about, Microsoft continue to try and cover every single base possible, because the more possible ways to make money the better right? Well at least this reveal didn’t have an Usher performance, Dance Central however… Wasn’t so lucky.

What do you think of Xbox Music? Don’t care? Yeah me neither. I have iTunes.

Internet Explorer coming to Xbox

During their E3 2012 press conference Microsoft announced that Internet Explorer will be coming to the Xbox 360. Does anyone care? Probably not. But Microsoft sure thinks that you care, even though you probably don’t because you are probably reading this on an internet browser on your computer. Which of course means that you most likely have no need for a shithouse web browser on your Xbox when you can have a not shithouse web browser on your computer.

Regardless, Microsoft plan on releasing the web browser app at some time in the future and it will of course connect in some way with whatever tablet, phone or kitchen appliance you could possibly want to use Microsoft’s shitty web browser on.

So what do you think of this announcement? Express your disinterest in the comments section below by not posting a single comment. Cheers.

Splinter Cell: Blacklist Screens Leaked Ahead of E3

We are literally minutes away from Microsoft’s big E3 conference, and new screenshots have been leaked showing off yet another Ubisoft title. Splinter Cell: Blacklist looks to bring back Sam Fisher again, and other than these shiny new pics, there isn’t anything else known about the game, other than the fact that Fisher still doesn’t shave every day.

I want to say that Blacklist will be just for the Xbox 360 and Playstation 3, but it’s very likely that we will see a Wii U or Vita release as well. Gawk at the screenshots below, and stay tuned, as there is surely to be a trailer and details to accompany these images within the coming hour.

Code of Princess confirmed for a North American release

Just today Atlus USA confirmed that they will be fully localising the former Japanese exclusive Nintendo 3DS title, Code of Princess, and be releasing it in North America in the fall of 2012.

Code of Princess is a two dimensional beat ’em up with heavy role playing game elements. Players will progress through stages and brawl with numerous enemies, but it will feature a non-linear structure as players will be able to make choices along the way and build stats for their character. The game is actually quite similar to Guardian Heroes for the Sega Saturn, which recently received a HD port on Xbox Live Arcade.

Code of Princess is now available for pre-order, and customers who pre-order now will get a free artbook. You can check it out here.
