Beyond Announced, Ellen Page in it

At Sony’s E3 Conference, David Cage took to the stage and announced a new ‘gaming’ experience titled Beyond.

This new ‘game’ features popular actress Ellen Page (who has been making the voice acting rounds lately) as the main character Jodie Holmes, who seems to have some kind of supernatural ability. The ‘game’ follows the same formula as Heavy Rain, with presumably a lot of quick time events and decisions and very little actual ‘gameplay’

Sony showed off a trailer for the ‘game’ which featured unknown quantities of actual ‘gameplay’. Regardless it is some pretty interesting stuff, we will keep you updated with more information on this title as it comes to light.

Official Dead Space 3 Trailer Revealed

Dead Space 3 was shown off in all its glory on stage at EA’s E3 press conference. Moving slightly away from its survival horror roots, Dead Space 3 will now have a co-op focus with series protagonist Isaac Clarke teaming up with new character John Carver.

From what the trailer shows off and what we’ve seen on stage at E3, the game seems to be taking a more action shooter feel rather than the usual dark survival horror. And that isn’t necessarily a bad thing, this might be a step in the right direction with the new drop in drop out co-op feature.

Visceral Games have said that Dead Space 3 “will deliver action and horror on a scale that far exceeds anything we’ve done before.” Setting the bar even higher than the last game, Dead Space 3 will set on the frozen ice planet of Tau Volantis, where the key to ending the Necromorph infestation may be found.

Dead Space 3 is set to be released for Xbox 360, Playstation 3 and PC in February 2013.

EA Announces Battlefield 3 Premium

Announced at E3 2012, Battlefield 3 is getting an enhanced version of its Battlelog system with Premium membership, or rather EA’s answer to Activations Call of Duty Elite,  and new trailer for the service has been released.

Battlefield 3 Premium grants player access to exclusive in-game items, deeper personalization options, and advanced features and all of Battlefield 3 digital expansion packs including all five digital expansion packs – Battlefield 3: Back to Karkand, Battlefield 3: Close Quarters, Battlefield 3: Armored Kill, Battlefield 3: End Game and the newly announced Battlefield 3: Aftermath. These packs include 20 new maps and weapons, four game modes, a new soldier and weapon camos, and much more.

Upgrading to Premium will cost $59.99 (or $49.99AUD on Origin), a $25 savings over purchasing each expansion pack separately. Battlefield 3 Premium goes live today on Playstation 3 and is set to launch on Xbox 360 and PC next week.

Enjoying the good amount of Assassin’s Creed 3 news as of late? Well, here’s another helping. After showing off that nice cinematic trailer, Ubisoft used their show floor to display a over seven minute clip of gameplay footage that shows our hero Connor in action.

From fetch quests, axing Brits in the chest, and stabbing wolves in the throat, the Ubisoft-AnvilNext engine is a fine beauty at work here, and the overall setting seems to make the world seem even more open and beautiful this around. Watch the new clip below, and keep coming back for more E3 coverage after leaving your thoughts below.

Assassin’s Creed 3’s E3 Trailer Emerges

Well, if any of you wanted to know exactly how Assassin’s Creed 3 will play out, you should now be happy as Ubisoft revealed a very nice CG trailer for the upcoming sequel to the blockbuster series. This trailer shows off the main protagonist Connor in the American Revolution setting, who is half British, half Native American, and ready to kill everything in sight.

According to Ubi, “you will become the spark that ignites the revolution into a full blaze”, meaning this character is going to be sure to have an interesting tale that is sure to be full of sex, betrayal, and death…you know, your typical Assassin’s Creed fare. I must say though that I didn’t like the whole American Revolution setting before, but it has grown on me now and I can easily say that this game is now on my want list. Check out the brand new trailer below and stay tuned, as there is more Assassin’s Creed 3 coverage to come.

Zombie U Announced For The Wii U

One of the most interesting highlights of Ubisofts’ E3 Press Conference was the debut trailer of the brand new Wii U exclusive title Zombie U.

While very little is known about Zombie U at this point in time it is clear that it will be a very mature game with a dark and gritty tone, filled with beautiful blood and gore. A tag line has been included for the game asking the audience the question “How long will you survive?”

Zombi U is set to be a first-person shooter that utilizes the Gamepad as a survival kit’ during gameplay. This terrifying survival horror game set during a zombie apocalypse is set to be a Wii U launch title and one of the many reasons gamers will pick up a Wii U at launch.

Watchdogs E3 Coverage – Ubisoft’s Awesome New IP

Watchdogs from Ubisoft Montreal is looking like it’s going to be an amazing new IP for this publisher and developer. The game looks like it’s a sort of cyberpunk story in a city that is always networked and everything is controlled by a standalone computer called CTOS.

Unfortunately for the citizens of this city, CTOS is being used to collect information on all of its inhabitants and using it against them for nefarious purposes by the corporations. Of course, if corporations can do it, then why can’t hackers? And that’s where the game comes into it. Using hacking skills, why can’t you control the city?

Players will utilise hacking skills to tap into conversations, control technology to their benefit and even more. This is certainly a new IP that I am looking forward to playing as it looks simply amazing and the concept is something that appears to be quite interesting.

Rayman Legends Revealed for the Wii U

Ladies and Gentleman, the first official game has now been shown off for the Wii U, and it looks like liquid happiness. Rayman Legends has been officially revealed, and Ubisoft made sure to show the brilliance of the game itself.

First up, the Wii U’s Gamepad can be used to control a new supporting character by the name of Murphy. This little flying assistant of sorts is controlled by another player and can perform several techniques to help Rayman and Globox as they progress throughout the beautifully designed world.

Players can also utilize the Wii U Pro Controller to play as the main characters, which should be much more comfortable for those who are accustomed to your standard control fare. Lums can also be sprouted with the Gamepad as well, adding yet another use for the touchscreen pad.

I am pretty excited for Legends myself, as Origins was fantastic and this title looks to improve everything this time around while retaining all of that colorful charm. Hopefully more will become known about this cheeky adventure down the line, but for now you can check out the official gameplay video down below.

Far Cry 3 gets a Steamy New Trailer that is on the Edge of Sanity

Far Cry 3 was subtly revealed last year, and it’s visual design was pretty impressive from the little bit we seen. This year, things are different and Ubisoft started their show with a bang by displaying a nice little sex scene at the start of a gameplay demonstration. The Crytek engine has brought this game to life, as the colors are vivid and the world blends together perfectly with the motley cast of characters.

This Far Cry will be the most ambitious yet, with an open world and a brand new narrative that fans and newcomers alike are sure to enjoy. Check out the shiny new E3 trailer below, and stay tuned as Far Cry 3 is set to launch this fall for the Xbox 360, PS3, and PC, so more details are sure to come.
