Those champion crazed kids over at Riot dished out a new champion sneak peek. I introduce to you Zed, the Master of Shadows. Wielding extremely sharp talon like blades, Zed withholds secrets of the ninja to provide a swift kill and effective disguise in the shadows. Did I mention he is a ninja?
Should be interesting how this champion will be incorporated into the Fields of Justice in joining the ranks of fellow assassins. I doubt Zed will remain in the shadows too long during battle, but I could probably assure you many will not live long to tell the tale.
While LEGO Lord of the Rings has already been released onto handheld systems, i.e. Nintendo DS, 3DS, and PlayStation Vita, it is still upcoming on consoles. Slated to come out November 13th for Xbox 360, PS3, Wii, and PC, the slight wait between the handheld versions and console versions can be filled by the trailer recently released by Warner Bros Games and TT Games.
The trailer isn’t nearly as serious as the original announcement trailer, but focuses almost completely on the humor of the game. While LEGO Batman 2 showed that LEGO games can have more humor than just slapstick with it’s addition of voice acting, LEGO Lord of the Rings uses, or used in the first trailer at least, dialogue straight from the LOTR movies themselves. This would likely undercut any ability to follow up in a similar methods of sly jokes from Batman 2, so this time around the humor seems set to juxtapose the satirizing of the story through slapstick and the actual movie lines. Will it work out? Hopefully so, as I know plenty of folks that enjoy the LEGO games and are eager for this adventure.
Be sure to check out the humor trailer embedded below and those that can’t wait can buy LEGO Lord of the Rings on handheld today, or wait it out to get it for their favorite console.

If you are a fan of interesting and different action puzzle adventure games then illo – birth of cool is right for you! Thought up by Luca Eliani, Disney’s premier Italian voice actor and an artist, illo is a fantastically different game with dream-scape environments, bizarre creatures, and a great adventurous feel to it.
Luca has joined forces with Raylight studios, and together they are seeking to raise the start up money to create this game though Kickstarter. Luca Eliani had this to say about the game:
“The world of illo is a departure from anything you have ever seen before in a videogame. It is outlandish, nightmarish, colourful and spirited. Players of any age will be able to play illo at anytime, anywhere and Kickstarter presents us the perfect route to bring such a unique IP to market. illo is a game that everyone can play, and through Kickstarter, we want everyone to help us make it.”
The game promises to be quirky and different from others, and it will certainly have that little cartoon-y feel to it. The game will be available on Android and iOS, and the design and gameplay seems to reflect that medium brilliantly.
If you want to donate to the Kickstarter for the game, the minimum is $1 and they are looking to reach a goal of $270,000 by December 3, 2012. But every bit counts and if this looks like the sort of game that you’d be interested in then head over to their Kickstarter page and give what you can!

Outlast is in development at Red Barrels, and is currently set to shock and horrify PC uses sometime during 2013. Check back closer to its release date as we find out more about this upcoming game. View the trailer below the break to gain a further insight in what lays ahead for you if you take the plunge.
The Hunter x Hunter manga has been on hiatus for more than 8 months now after ending on a major cliffhanger at chapter 340. Fans of the series have managed to satisfy their thirst for Hunter x Hunter with the 2011 anime adaptation which is currently airing on NTV, but the hunger for Hunter x Hunter manga is one that has proven itself insatiable. Thankfully for fans, news has risen that points towards a return date for the manga.
Shueisha recently revealed in their Weekly Shonen Jump magazine that volumes 31 and 32 of the Hunter x Hunter manga would see a release on December 2nd and 28th respectively. If history tells us anything it is that Yoshihiro Togashi has always returned following the release of new volumes of the manga. Usually in his hiatus downtime he corrects the art of the chapters for volume release and once done with that he returns to working on the manga.
Previously he returned following the release of volumes 28 and 29, so one could suppose that Togashi will return to working on the manga in January at some point, which coincidentally would be perfect timing for the premiere of the Hunter x Hunter: Phantom Rouge movie. While no solid return date has been confirmed all sign point to a January return date. As always we will keep you updated on all Hunter x Hunter news as it comes to light.
Sly Cooper is working up to his 2013 comeback. After years away from the gaming scene Thieves in Time will hit the PlayStation Vita and the PlayStation 3 on February 5th. A new trailer has just been released for the game, and to tie in with Halloween, it showcases the many costumes and special abilities that Sly will need to collect to pass -relatively- unnoticed through his literally historic trip.
Travelling through time will see Sly don some samurai armor and a Robin Hood like thief costume (complete with bow) and plenty of other identities that will come with their own unique special abilities.
Given the amount of gameplay being showed off in this latest trailer, everything looks like it’s pulling together to create a much sought after title. It is of course a cross buy game to boot, so this should be high on every Sony aficionados shopping list for the new year.
Make sure and check out the trailer attached below.
Little Big Planet Karting is getting in on the Halloween spirit with a ghoulish gameplay trailer.
