Fans of the wonderful Professor Layton series should be interested in another game from the same company. The news from Level-5 International America is that their game Aero Porter will be gracing the North American and European markets at the end of the month.
Aero Porter combines simulating running an airport with puzzle solving by designer Yoot Saito of Seaman, The Tower, and Odama fame. Aero Porter was first released back in Japan in the multi-game pack GUILD01 and will be the second game of that pack to be making the journey to the North American market.
Designed to be fun and enjoyable for players of ranging ages and skill levels, the game features gameplay varying from sorting luggage by color, to ensuring planes leave on time, to earning money that can be spent increasing passenger limits to get more and more flyers. As an added bonus players can customize their planes with different colors and patterns, which can be shared through StreetPass.
Aero Porter will be available on Nintendo 3DS for $4.99 (€4.99 / ₤4.49), in the North American and European Nintendo eShop on November 29th, 2012. Be sure to check out some of the screenshots in the gallery below to get a glimpse of what else the game will include.

A patch for the latest entry in the Assassin’s series, Assassin’s Creed III is on its merry way to gamers. Aptly titled the “Thanksgiving” patch, this update will clear up the majority of glitches that still remain in the game. The game was (and still is for the time being) incredibly buggy, so this patch will offer some much needed respite to players from the issues that have plagued the game since release. Assassin’s Creed III puts players in the boots of Connor, half British and half Mohawk assassin as he hunts for vengeance across the free lands of America. The main issues being addressed are as follows, for singleplayer and multiplayer:
SP – Connor’s hood will now be up after the end of the game in Cities and Frontier (yay!)
SP – Reduced difficulty of some chases
SP – Fixed vari0us visual glitches
SP – Fixed player spawn points to reduce de-synch on spawn
SP – Fixed rare occurrences of glitches blocking Story and Side Mission progress
MP – Tweaked settings to improve player connections
MP – Tweaked some of the abilities and other gameplay elements
MP – Fixed issues with ranking system
This patch for Assassin’s Creed III is due out by the end of next week and is set to fix a number of outstanding problems the game has experienced even after the massive Day One Patch. You can find a much more detailed list of all changes here but be warned of Story spoilers. You can also check out our review for AC3 here.
The Playstation 3 has passed the 70 million mark in sales worldwide, according to number provided by Sony Computer Entertainment. These numbers encompasses all models since the launch of the Playstation 3 back in November 2006, where it was first launched in several territories, including Japan and the United States. As for software, there are now 3,950 titles available for the Playstation 3 with 595 million software units sold since September 30, 2012. This includes first and third party published titles.
Numbers were also provided for the Playstation Move. Since its launch back in September 2010, the Playstation Move has surpassed the 15 million mark in sales worldwide. The amount of titles that have some form of Playstation Move compatibility has now reached 400 but figures for software sales have not been provided. The latest of these Playstation Move titles is Wonderbook, an AR peripheral, which is available now.
Today Digital Reality and Grasshopper Manufacturer have confirmed that the previously Xbox 360 exclusive Sine Mora will be released next week on the PlayStation Network where gamers can purchase it for either the PlayStation 3 or the PlayStation Vita.
The game will be available for download in North America on February 20th while European gamers will be able to do so on the 21st. With the game’s release roughly four days away Grasshopper Manufacture released the below trailer. The trailer itself focuses heavily on the PlayStation Vita version of the game and how all of the touch screen controls will work on the handheld system.
Today Square Enix and Io Interactive have chosen to release the launch trailer for Hitman: Absolution which should be expected considering the game itself is meant to be released worldwide next Tuesday on November 20th on the PC, PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360.
The launch trailer can be found below and in it viewers will be introduced to a little bit about the game’s storyline as well as plenty of scenes of Agent 47 doing what he does best by taking out various guards and even the nun assassins make a return appearance. However the trailer certainly does pose an interesting questions. Just how many lives would you take to save one life?
Compile Heart revealed today that their unique PlayStation Vita game Monster Monpiece would be hitting stores in Japan on January 24th next year, which is quite a bit earlier than the game’s previous release window of Spring 2013.
Now the reason I call the game unique is because the title is a card game where various monsters have been re-imagined and re-drawn as “moe” monster girls. To go along with this announcement a large number of of images of the monster girls were revealed byDengeki PlayStation, including the game’s special mechanic that allows the user to expose weak points with the Vita’s touch screen, were revealed and the game’s opening video can also be seen below.
It is worth noting that no Western information for this title has been released but since the Vita is region free, a physical version of Monster Monpiece will work on Western PlayStation Vitas.
Nippon Ichi Software is continuing their tradition of offering fans a chance to name a few weapons for their upcoming PlayStation 3 exclusive Disgaea D2. This time around the company is asking for the names of six different weapons which are a sword, lance, bow and arrow, gun glove, axe, and a staff. As for what these weapons look like you can see images of them below.
For those who don’t know, Disgaea D2 is the first direct-sequel to a Disgaea title in the franchise’s history and follows the story of the Disgaea’s most iconic characters, Laharl, Etna and Flonne. If you happen to think up a few names for these weapons, you can enter them here. If you have difficulty navigating the page, then take note that the first box is for your name while the following boxes are names for the weapons in left to right order. These name submissions will be accepted until November 30th and the selected names will be revealed two weeks later on December 14th.
With Black Friday a week away, Sony has decided to detail their console bundles that will be on sale through multiple retailers at a discounted price. In fact, both the PlayStation 3 and the PlayStation Vita will be sold in bundles that will only cost $199 compared to the usual price point.
The Ultimate PS3 Value Bundle will include the Uncharted Dual Pack which contains Drake’s Fortune and Among Thieves, the inFamous Collection anda 30 day PS Plus trial membership. It is worth noting that the PS3 in this bundle is the super slim 250GB model.
As for the VIta there will be three separate bundles available for purchase depending on which retailer you go to. Best Buy will be selling a Black Ops Declassified bundle with a Black Vita and a 4GB memory card while Target gets the LEGO Batman 2 bundle, also with a black Vita but no free memory card. Amazon and Gamestop have the Assassin’s Creed III: Liberation bundle, which comes with a white S PS Vita, the game and a 4GB memory card.
Today Activision announced that Call of Duty Black Ops 2 managed to make $500 million during its first day on sale, breaking the franchise’s previously set record of $400 million which was set last year by the release of Modern Warfare 3. While Activision did not announce how many copes were sold, last year’s number saw 6.5 million copies sold in the US and UK so it is easy to see that a larger number were sold this time around.
We’ve seen plenty of information alluding to Call of Duty Black Ops 2 becoming one of the best selling games ever as GameStop has already reported that over 1 million copies were sold at their chain alone while Amazon revealed that the game was their most pre-ordered title ever.
