hunter-x-hunter-phantom-rouge-movie

It has been confirmed through Weekly Shonen Jump that a major announcement will be attached to the end of each screening of Hunter x Hunter: Phantom Rouge, the franchises first film adaptation.

Following the ending credits of each screening a big announcement is said to be revealed. The film opens in theaters across Japan later this week.

As to what the announcement could be, it may very well have to do with either the return of the manga or something about the series 15th anniversary this March. It might just be to do with both of those things even.

What do you think this major announcement could be? Let us know in the comments section below.

Gears of War: Judgment Box Art Released

gears-of-war-judgment-box-art

Epic Games latest foray into the Gears of War franchise, snappily named Judgement, has finally revealed its long awaited box art. And what is there to say about it? Well it’s a shooter box art alright. Moody, serious protagonist holds big gun and stares moodily into space, COG flag burns overhead, supporting cast silently roar their battle cries in the background and some vaguely recognisable setting frames the action. Done and done. Almost makes you wish there was another Bioshock: Infinite style reversible cover, maybe with some moving, thought provoking art inside. Or maybe not…

Gears of War: Judgement will see the battlefield sometime this March for Japan, Europe and Australia; while North America has the definite date of 19th of March to hold them over. This prequel entry in the Xbox exclusive Gears of War series sees players take up the sarcastic and ever annoying role of Baird, on and surrounding Emergence Day, when they are accused of treason at Halvo Bay. Gripping stuff as always.

Neverwinter – Black Dagger Ruins Revealed

neverwinter-black-dagger-01

The Dungeons and Dragons standalone MMO Neverwinter (not to be confused with the Neverwinter Nights series), has revealed what will presumably be part of the story of the game, a raid of Black Dagger Keep staged by none other than the Harpers themselves. Long thought dead and lost with the tides on which he previously sailed, Captain Black Dagger has risen from the dead to terrorize and plunder as he once did; either that or just sit and chill in that impressive Keep of his.

The evil Black Dagger can also only be found at the rise of the Sun, because presumably all the other real evil doers over-booked midnight. Dungeons and Dragons: Neverwinter is set for a shady release date of sometime early this year, arriving on the PC alone. Players can step into the role of their favorite D&D classes from the board game and join other adventurers from around the world in their ultimate quest to stop a Lich Queen dead in her tracks. Check out the screenshots and trailer down below.

Celebrate 25 years of Mega Man with a green lanyard

megaman-lanyard
Mega Man is turning 25 and to celebrate Capcom is said to have big plans in the works. Well it looks like one of these big plans is actually something small and oddly specific, a Mega Man anniversary lanyard.

The lanyard is green and features various poses of Mega Man. It will be available for purchase on Capcom’s website, with pre-order now available here. This amazing Mega Man merch is currently $9.95 for pre-order, which honestly is pretty damn pricey but hey I am sure the hardcore Mega Man fans won’t mind.

Capcom also announced recently that they will release Mega Man 1-6 on the 3DS eShop in North America. There was no confirmation if other countries would receive this content.

All in all Mega Man’s 25th Anniversary has been relatively lack-luster. What do you think? Let us know in the comments section.

Plethora of Grand Theft Auto V screenshots released

GTAV-old-man-screens- (21)

Today Rockstar Games released a slew of new screenshots for Grand Theft Auto V. This latest set of screens focuses more on what the in-game characters will be doing and their various specialties. For example, we see Trevor taking out plenty of enemies with firearms and blowing up buildings, Franklin being more of a wheelman and Michael taking care of business.

Also shown in the screenshots below are plenty of images of the world of Los Santos and the various vehicles you will be able to use to get around. The game itself is currently set to be released on the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 sometime in Spring this year.

Baka and Test Season 2 anime release delayed by FUNimation

baka-test-season-2-anger

Today RightStuf revealed that FUNimation is going to be delaying their release of Baka and Test Season 2. The title was originally meant to be released on January 15th however thanks to some printing issues, they are recalling any shipped copies of the anime and are delaying the release for an unannounced amount of time.

The printing issue isn’t too drastic however, as the only actual problem is the fact that the image displayed on the second DVD disc lists it as an “Extras” disc. There is a legitimate extras disc found in the package and both DVDs contain the proper information. It is worth noting that our own screener review copy does have this issue as well and I can confirm that the mislabeled second DVD disc does contain the second half of the anime. The Blu-ray discs do not contain any of these issues.

Anyways, RightStuf has notified anyone who has had their anime shipped to them early and are offering them an option to either be happy with the release or contact the company to receive a fixed version of the second disc when they are available.
