Remember last year when Viz Media launched a brand new anime streaming service called Neon Alley? Well at the time it was only available for the PlayStation 3 but last month the company announced that someday soon Neon Alley would be available for Xbox 360 owners as well.

Well today is that day. Neon Alley is now available for download and use to any Xbox 360 owners who happen to be Xbox Live Gold subscribers. Of course it is worth noting that Neon Alley does require a monthly subscription of $6.99 to use, but anime fans can obtain a free one-week trial from Neon Alley’s official website. If you’re curious about what Neon Alley may have to offer, you can check out our thoughts of the PlayStation 3 version of the app here.

Also, if you happen to be curious about what type of shows are available on the service, Blue Exorcist, Inuyasha: The Final Act, Lagrange: The Flower of Rin-ne, Nura: Rise of the Yokai Clan, Tiger & Bunny, One Piece and Naruto are currently airing while English dubs of Accel World and Fate/Zero will be premiering in the future.

LEGO Lord of the Rings Traveling onto Mac

LEGO Lord of the Rings may have already visited practically every other current generation console and hand held (i.e. Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, PS Vita, Wii, Nintendo DS, Nintendo 3DS and PC), but even with all those available options there is still a chance that gamers might have missed the chance to throw Gimli about willy-nilly, turn people into dancing skeletons, or destroy the One Ring (if you’re into that).

To ensure that the absolute maximum number of players get to enjoy any or all of those things and more, LEGO Lord of the Rings is set to be coming to Mac on February 21st, 2013.  Thanks to the folks at Feral Interactive, a leading publisher of Mac games, gamers that find themselves exclusive to Mac will be able to enjoy the adventure and fun.

Priced at $29.99 in North America (£19.99 UK or €24.99 elsewhere in Europe), LEGO Lord of the Rings will be available upon its release for direct download from Feral Interactive, as well as other partnered digital sites worldwide.

Serious Sam Double D XXL Coming To XBLA

serious-sam-dd-xxl-screen-01

Have you ever looked at a gun in a game and thought ‘this gun could use more guns?’ Not a chainsaw attached to a gun a la Gears of War, or guns attached to a wheelchair as seen in Dead Rising 2.  I mean a gun attached to a gun. I have, and so have the makers of Serious Sam Double D XXL, but they took it to the extreme.

Serious Sam Double D was released on Steam late 2011 and has been a well received addition to the franchise. The side scrolling shoot ’em up is well suited for the XBLA format and the developers at Mommy’s Best Games have included tonnes of new goodies for returning fans and new recruits alike. The stand out feature of this game has to be the ability to stack up to 6 guns on top of each other at once. In a video released today (see below) watching all six guns simultaneously lay waste to the hectic onslaught of Mental’s horde is seriously hypnotising.

The XXL edition has several new features, outside of the usual XBLA leader boards and more missions. Co-op has been included for the Xbox as well as a wealth of new upgrades and enemy types. Serious Sam Double D XXL will be released on the 20th of February this year, much to the dismay of hoards of dudes with bombs for hands everywhere.

Remember that iOS app featuring Neptune and Noire from Hyperdimension Neptunia that NIS America mentioned many months ago? Well it turns out that the company has now released an English version of that little app. As such fans of the game can now download it from the iTunes store absolutely free.

The app comes with a clock function and players can interact slightly with Noire and Neptune by tapping the screen to adjust the camera or make them react and say different phrases. It is worth noting that there are different reactions for different times of day and there are even special ones for holidays such as Christmas and even Valentine’s Day which you may want to keep an eye on.

Players can choose to buy additional features for real money, such as a “Like” meter that determines how much the girls like you as you interact with them which have the girls say different phrases and of course you can buy costume DLC and voice sets as well.
