Airline Tycoon 2 Gold Edition Release

Airline-Tycoon-2-Gold-Edition
Out now in the UK and export territories, Airline Tycoon 2 Gold is a package of the original game plus two included DLC packs, Honey Airlines and Falcon Lines.  Developed by the Kalypso Media Group, Airline Tycoon 2 puts players in control of a modern airline and gives them the task of growing into a success.  Players also have the ability to design their own planes, and bring a business out of its ashes into former glory.

An incredible amount of new features have been put into the game for the Gold edition, but the games developers kept features fans loved.  The game gives gamers the ability to explore real airports from around the world with details from weather and travel conditions to the number of patrons in the terminal.  The planes you can create have a lot of variety in them, the only limit is your wallet, including the most luxurious planes in your imagination.  Micromanagement aficionados will have plenty to satisfy them as you can schedule flights, manage arrivals, departures, and balance the finances and accounts.  For the devious folks out there you can sabotage your business rivals to slow down their development or damage their finances, but as they say what goes around comes around.

For additional information on the game or for news from the developers other releases, visit www.kalypsomedia.com.

yokai-watch-keita-whisper
During Nintendo’s previous Nintendo Direct conference which focuses primarily on 3rd-party 3DS titles, they revealed some new footage of Level-5’s Yokai Watch game via a trailer narrated by none other than Satoru Iwata himself.

The new trailer reveals a great deal of information regarding the Yokai Watch game and in particular its plot. The game follows a young boy named Keita who discovers an old capsule toy vending machine, he opens his capsule to reveal a watch. Once he puts on the watch suddenly a ghost named Whisper appears before him and informs him that he is wearing the Yokai Watch that grants the person wearing it the ability to see supernatural beings known as yokai. Keita sets out with the help of good yokai to protect his town from evil yokai.

Level-5 has announced plans of turning Yokai Watch into a franchise, with an anime and manga adaptation already in the works. Be sure to check out the trailer below and let us know what you think in the comments section.

Disgaea Dimension 2: A Brighter Darkness heads West this Fall

Last night NIS America’s press conference revealed that the game previously only known as Disgaea D2 is set to head to North America in English this Fall season. The company also has decided to expand the game’s name from simply being Disgaea D2 to Disgaea Dimension 2: A Brighter Darkness.

Anyways, Disgaea Dimension 2: A Brighter Darkness is the first actual sequel in the Disgaea series and it places Laharl as the main character once more and this time he is the King of the Netherworld. However as past information has revealed, not everyone is ready to accept Laharl as their leader. To make things even more interesting, a girl claiming to be Laharl’s sister appears. Anyways check out an English subtitled trailer for the game and a number of new screenshots below.

The Guided Fate Paradox hits North America this Fall

Besides announcing the English localization of Toki to Towa (Time and Eternity) last night, NIS America also revealed a more expected localization at their event in California. It was revealed that the SJRPG The God and the Fate Revolution Paradox would be heading West with a new condensed name of The Guided Fate Paradox.

Developed by Nippon Ichi Software’s original team for Disgaea, Guided Fate Paradox is the spiritual successor to Z.H.P and it features a regular high school student who has become a god thanks to a mall lottery. Now he works on changing things in the “Copy World” to help make people’s dreams come true in the “Original World.”

To go along with the game’s announcement NIS America released a handful of screenshots and a trailer for the game showing off some of the main cast, anime opening and a bit of gameplay. As for the title itself, it will feature “off the wall” armor and weapon customization that lets players go as far as changing their legs into tank treads, randomly generated dungeons and Disgaea-like special attacks for over-the-top visuals and overwhelming damage.

Time and Eternity announced for Western release Summer 2013

time-and-eternity-screens- (11)

Yesterday NIS America held a special press event in California and at this event the company announced a rather surprising acquisition. We’ve heard various rumors from Namco Bandai and Imageepoch in Japan mentioning that a certain title called Toki to Towa would be heading overseas eventually, however until yesterday it was simply a hope fans of JRPGs held within their hearts.

At the event yesterday NIS America announced that they will be releasing the title in North America under it’s predicted English name Time and Eternity. The title will be released sometime this summer exclusively for the PlayStation 3. Time and Eternity is designed to look like an anime and features HD animation throughout every aspect of the title.

The company also released the below trailer which is narrated by someone who sounds exactly like Ian Sinclair’s voicing of Toriko. For additional coverage of Time and Eternity from when it was only available in Japan, check here. The company also mentioned that they would be releasing all of the game’s downloadable episodes, even the ones featuring some rather naughty looking content. Anyways, expect Time and Eternity sometime this summer for $49.99.

Laike’s PC Download Deals 22/02/2013

It’s snowing here in Canada. Again. That’s right. Our winter got postponed to late February this year. So I have plenty of time to compile a list of cheap downloadable games to make you poor. Your wallet can thank the lousy weather outside for its sudden shrinkage.

Let us change things up from the normal pattern this time around and lead off with Amazon’s huge Farewell to February sale. As usual, its a giant mess for navigation, but there are over 850 games on sale. Max Payne 3 Complete is on sale for 78% off. The bundle contains Max Payne 3 and the Season Pass for all the DLC. I had a blast with the single player game and the multiplayer portion of the game isn’t too bad. Its an excellent price and worth a purchase if you haven’t played it yet. The fantastic 2K Strategy Super Pack is on sale for 85% off. The bundle contains Civilization V: Game of the Year Edition, Civilization V: Gods & Kings expansion pack, Civilization IV: The Complete Edition, and The Stronghold Collection for one really low price. All four games activate on Steam and are absolutely worth the purchase if you’re a strategy fan. If the 2K Strategy Super Pack isn’t enough and you still haven’t purchased, Crusader Kings II, it’s on sale at 75% again. Call of Duty Black Ops II is on sale for 33%. Frankly, I found the single player utterly forgettable, but I found the multiplayer to be my favourite since Call of Duty 4. Check out our review of Black Ops II here. Prefer Modern Warfare? No problem, the Modern Warfare bundle containing all three games is also on sale for 64% off the regular price.  If you’re looking for a good scare and haven’t played the first two Dead Space games, they are currently bundled together for 80% off. The first game wasn’t the best of ports for the PC, but was still pretty playable. The two games activates on Origin versus Steam. Dark Souls: Prepare to Die Edition is also on sale for 63% off. Considered to be one of the hardest games ever made, there are tons of hard core Dark Souls fan who swear by this game. Check out our review here. As a bonus to the sale, Amazon partnered with Cheap Ass Gamer to bring buyers an additional 25% off the price of one game. Use the code CAGROCKS on one of your purchases to save a little extra cash.

Steam is running two play for free sales this weekend. Call of Duty Black Ops II is the bigger name of the two. It is also 33% off through Steam, but Amazon is cheaper when bundled with the CAGROCKS code at Amazon. Feel free to check it out on Steam and then buy it on Amazon. Gratuitous Space Battles is also on sale this weekend. If you’re looking to just blow some ships up without the frills, Gratuitous Space Battles lives up to its name. The game and most of its DLC is on sale for 75% off. Both games can be played for free til Sunday at 1PM PST.

Greenman Gaming is running a fantastic deal for Bioshock Infinite. Anyone pre purchasing Bioshock Infinite will get a copy of Bioshock 1 and a choice of either Bioshock 2, Mafia II, Civilization V, The Darkness II, or Spec Ops: The Line for free. This is on top of the $14.00 cash back or $15.00 GMG credit that Greenman Gaming is already offering. This is the best deal for the game hands down. In addition, the mass of Simulator series games is on sale this weekend for 50% off. Most of the games aren’t particularly good, but these games seem to have a really strange cult following. Check out all of Greenman Gaming’s weekend sales here.

Get Games is running its Get Loaded deal this weekend with Square Enix. Buyers have three options. First they can buy Sleeping Dogs and Hitman Absolution for $30.00. Or they can buy two games for $10 dollars. options include Deus Ex: Human Revolution, Quantum Conundrum, Dungeon Siege III, and Just Cause 2. Or they can buy all the games on sale for $45.00. This is an excellent price for Sleeping Dogs and Hitman Absolution. If you don’t own both games, I highly recommend purchasing both at this price. There are several good titles in the two for $10.00 deal too. If I had to choose my two favourites in that list, it would be Deus Ex Human Revolution and Just Cause 2. I had a blast with both games.

Get Games is also running a normal weekend sale. The theme this weekend is Ubisoft titles. Far Cry 3 is $10.00 off its normal price. I chose Far Cry 3 as my pick for Capsule Computer’s Game of the Year, so if you’re willing to spend some good cash for the game now, $10.00 off isn’t too bad. Check out our review of Far Cry 3 here. Ghost Recon: Future Soldier is on sale for 50% off. I really enjoyed the game and sunk many hours in both the single player and multiplayer game. The Gunsmith is a fun little extra that I spent way too much time tinkering with. If you’re looking for a great tactical 3rd person shooter, I highly recommend checking Future Soldier out.
