You may recall a certain Kickstarter that ended about eleven months ago for a game called Shadowrun Returns. Well, the developers behind the game, Harebraned Schemes have chosen today to release their first alpha gameplay footage for the title in a twenty minute long gameplay video.
In the video we see how the combat and exploration will look and the overall feel of the game and it is interesting to note that these levels seem to have been built with the in-game level editor which will be included with the PC and Mac versions of Shadowrun Returns. Currently the title is aiming for release sometime this summer on PC, Mac, Linux, iPad, and Android tablets.
It looks like the long run of Dance Central DLC will also be coming to an end. Just a little while ago it was revealed that Harmonix would stop releasing Rock Band DLC after 275 straight weeks of content and now today it has been announced that Dance Central’s DLC support will be ending.
Not for lack of a library however, as there are now over 200 tracks available for the game. Anyways, Harmonix says that they are moving forward with “several new titles” and are choosing to focus on those instead of continuing to support some of these older games. While a sad end for those who love the games, these fans can still look forward to whatever Harmonix has coming down the pipe.

Les Miserables has come in the form of a video game with the release of Les Miserables: Cosette’s Fate. Coming from Anuman Interactive’s line of Microids games, the game will feature Cosette, the daughter of Fantine, as the player character trying to escape from the innkeepers that mistreat her while her mother is away.
Les Miserables: Cosette’s Fate is to be the first in a new generation of hidden object/adventure games from Microids which will feature more animation, interactivity, and an interface that is meant to optimize the experience. Players will also be able to move from scene to scene to collect together different items to use them together or in other scenes, as well as a variety of minigames throughout. There will also be facts for players to find about the novel itself and its writer to find.
Les Miserables: Cosette’s Fate is currently available now from the iOS App Store for $2.99 on iPad HERE, though it will be coming later to PC, Mac, iPhone, and Android.
Dead Space 3 was great in many ways, but thanks to the various hallucinations made exclusive to people playing as Isaac Clarke’s co-op partner Carver, things never felt quite as scary. However if this trailer released today for Dead Space 3’s Awakened DLC is anything to go by, then the horror will be returning in this soon to be released DLC.
You can check out the trailer below and keep an eye out for the DLC which is currently set to be released on the PC, Xbox Live and PSN on March 12th worldwide, except for the European PSN which sees the addition of the game on March 13th.
We loved Tomb Raider, but we also loved looking behind-the-scenes as the Final Hours video series documented Crystal Dynamics’ final year of development on the reboot. Now, we get to delve even deeper with the Final Hours of Tomb Raider app.
The app, which was released today for the iOS, Kindle Fire and Steam, is the result of a close collaboration between the studio and Geoff Keighley. Taking several months to put together after capturing a year’s worth of interview material, images and never-before-seen video, the app gives us an unprecedented perspective on the development of what was one of the most highly anticipated, and now one of the highest rated titles of the year so far.
Geoff Keighley stated, “The Final Hours of Tomb Raider is a story about the reinvention of both a brand and a studio. This franchise reboot was itself rebooted multiple times, and now, for the first time, the team at Crystal Dynamics shares with fans the early prototypes and concepts that didn’t make it into the finished game.”
Global Brand Director of Crystal Dynamics Karl Stewart said, “Geoff has managed to capture the essence of a story that no one outside of the studio has ever been exposed to. In a very immersive and informative way, he has managed to bring to life the personal side of game development, something which is usually lost in the noise when bringing a game to fruition.”
Download the app now for only $2.99 from iTunes, Steam, or Amazon for your Kindle Fire.
It looks like Gearbox Software is trying to make Aliens: Colonial Marines less of a terrible title because today the company has released a new patch for the game on the Xbox 360. This updateis supposed to cover a number of issues and bugs found throughout the campaign as well as the versus mode.
The biggest fixes include preventing players from going outside the map and allowing co-op partners to properly revive their allies. As far as a patch for the PS3 and PC versions of the game, the company has said a patch is on the way, but they have yet to provide a release date for the patch.
G.I. Joe: Retaliation is releasing in Australia on March 28th and today we have quite a bit of content for you all, including one featurette, one film clip and a new online game.
Firstly, at the bottom of this article is an awesome behind-the-scenes video of Byung-Hun Lee as Storm Shadow. The South Korean superstar is back and faces off against his best friend, turned mortal enemy, Snake Eyes (Ray Park). The clip includes interview snippets with the two actors, as well as director Jon M. Chu as they discuss Storm Shadow’s state of mind, while giving us a glimpse into the intense shooting of the fight-sequences between the rivals.
Secondly, we have “Re-Enlisting”; a short clip showcasing one of Joe Colton (Bruce Willis) and Roadblock’s (Dwayne Johnson) key interactions in the film that is the jumping off point for all the destruction the two are bound to cause throughout. You can view the video directly below.
Re-Enlisting
Finally is the new Facebook game, ‘El Camino Run’. The game, which can be played here, is a simple, top-down car-shooter where you must avoid obstacles, pick up power-ups and destroy anyone who is attempting to stop you. I recommend using a mouse for this one. It is based on a scene from the film in which Colton shoots oncoming opposition from the truck-bed of the car.
Also, go here to try out ‘Cobra Strike’, an earlier online game we recently shared. And don’t forget to visit and ‘like’ the official AU G.I. Joe Facebook page for all future updates leading to the film’s release on March 28th nationwide.
