GRID Autosport Hitting Consoles with Speed; New Trailer Pulls In

How about some more GRID, racing fans? After seeing the release of Grid 2 not too long ago (review here), Bandai Namco and Codemasters have announced GRID Autosport – which will be hitting the Xbox 360, Playstation 3, and PC. Yes, no next gen love, but there is still plenty of reason to give this racer a look as it features some fine tuned professional racing, where the key goal is to satisfy team sponsors and beat rivals.

GRID Autosport will also feature 100 routes across 22 locations, meaning this little spin-off should be packed full of content. Check out the trailer down below and look for GRID Autosport coming to shelves in the coming year.

Power Rangers Super Megaforce Due Out for the 3DS

Last year, Namco Bandai (or Bandai Namco if you must) released Power Rangers Megaforce on the 3DS. I was hyped, as I am a huge Power Rangers fan. Upon release, I then played the game until the very end, but left tremendously disappointed as it seemed to be a shell of fan service coated around an empty and quite buggy center (read the review here).

Today, the follow-up has been announced in the form of Power Rangers Super Megaforce. Now, this is the series where past rangers can be called upon, and will even feature the grand battle that had every ranger ever participating. How will the game be? No one quite knows, but lets go ahead and give this release the benefit of a doubt for now as we are at least guaranteed to see a lot of cameos from past warriors. Power Rangers Super Megaforce is due out in the near future on the 3DS.

Ace Combat Infinity release date announced

Ace-Combat-Infinity-screenshot-06

Today Bandai Namco announced when fans of the Ace Combat series can expect to see the free-to-play Ace Combat Infinity released in the West and it appears that these fans won’t have to wait too much longer as the title will be released in North America on May 27th and a day later on May 28th in Europe.

This free to play downloadable title comes with a new story mode, team co-op multiplayer, and eventually the developers plan on adding in PvP combat after the game is released. You can check out some screenshots and a new trailer for the title below.

Pac-Man and the Ghostly Adventures 2 announced for release this year

Bandai Namco‘s old workhorse has been called out of the stable once more and this time he is out for a second platforming adventure in Pac-Man and the Ghostly Adventures 2. This game has been announced for release on the Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, Wii U, and 3DS and will be released sometime later this year, probably around the same time the cartoon of the same name comes back for its next season.

In this game Pac-Man can eat ‘Power Berries’ to transform into special forms that allow him to take on enemies and even control vehicles. You can check out the trailer for the game below if you want to lose a bit of your childhood…

Today Bandai Namco revealed a bunch of new details concerning Tales of Xillia 2‘s release in the West. First they announced that the game will be hitting store shelves in North America on August 19th and Europe on August 22nd and second they announced that there will be a collector’s edition version of the game made available in North America.

Soulcalibur: Lost Swords now available on the PlayStation 3

If you were to go check the PlayStation Store today you may have noticed that Soulcalibur: Lost Swords has been made available for download. Well today Bandai Namco has released the free-to-play game onto the PlayStation 3. The game allows players to battle against various foes and earn items and weapons to customize their fighter.

It is worth noting that the game is similar to Tekken Revolution as it will require the player to either wait for their energy to recharge between battles or spend money to accelerate the process. Being a single player game only, there is no versus mode in Soulcalibur: Lost Swords but players can choose to upload their character for other players to download and assist them in battles as an ally.

Sword Art Online: Hollow Fragment heading to North America in Summer

Now this is some surprising news. I mean considering the Sword Art Online anime was popular enough to be shown on television in North America and both the original light novels and manga are being translated into English, Sword Art Online: Hollow Fragment didn’t seem to have a chance at being localized. Well, turns out that Bandai Namco is doing just that.

Today the company has announced that they will be releasing the game as a downloadable title this Summer in North America for the PS Vita. The game allows players to play as Kirito, though they can change his looks and his name, and they will battle through the Aincrad tower starting at the 76th floor. Screenshots of the game can be found below and outside of battling enemies and bosses, players can also raise their relationships with the many heroines in the game.

Tonight is a cold night in Gotham City as a blanket of ice and snow covers its tall buildings and its littered streets. Warner Bros. have announced that the latest story DLC for last year’s Batman: Arkham Origins has finally arrived, and gives us a look at the infamous Mr. Freeze and his first meeting against the Batman.

The Cold, Cold Heart Story Add-On introduces new locations including Wayne Manor and GothCorp, taking players on an ice-cold journey as Victor Fries encounters Batman for the first time. Players will have access to all new gadgets including Thermocharged Batarangs and Thermal Gloves. Batman is also equipped with his powerful Extreme Environment (XE) suit to take down Mr. Freeze and his Cryo-thugs in hours of new story content.

Owners of the season pass can grab the DLC for free now, but players can still purchase it individually for $13.45. We reviewed Batman: Arkham Origins when it launched last year and are eager to play through this DLC. We also have a small trailer below that will show you some of the new gameplay mechanics introduced in the expansion, so be sure to check it out. Remember that this year is the 75th Anniversary of the cape and cowl, so make sure you stay tuned to Capsule Computers through the year for all the Batman news as it becomes available.

Kick-Heart Creator Directs Episode of Adventure Time

Adventure-Time-Food-Chain-Screenshot-01
With Jake the Dog and Finn the Human…wait

You read it right folks, the creator of the Kickstarter funded short Kick-Heart, and now director of the Ping Pong anime, Masaaki Yuasa  has turned his talents towards Western animation. An upcoming episode of Adventure Time, entitled Food Chain, was written, storyboarded and directed by Yuasa, adding his personal flair into an already bizarre series.

A sneak peek of the episode has been released, revealing that the episode will centre around Finn and Jake as they learn about the majesty of the food chain, with a little help from Magic Man…though wherever he’s concerned the word “help” is completely subjective.

So check out the video below and see what Yuasa adds to the world of Adventure Time. Seriously, check it out. It’s weird in an awesome sort of way…damn Magic Man.
