“Blade And Soul” Licenced By “Sentai Filmworks”

Blade-And-Soul-Anime-Artwork-01Sentai Filmworks” have today announced that they have acquired the publishing and distribution rights for the Spring anime series “Blade And Soul“.

The new series – which follows the journey of a young and beautiful swordswoman who has decided to travel the land in search for her teacher’s killer to exact revenge – will have a home video release, courtesy of the American anime distributor, some time after the end of the series which is currently still running in Japan.

The series can be viewed on “Crunchyroll” who are currently streaming the series as it airs.

Congratulations to “Sentai Filmworks” on the acquisition of what looks to be a great MMORPG-based anime series, please support the official release once it is made available.

“Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles” – Second Movie Trailer Released

Shell yeah! “Paramount Pictures” today released the second official movie trailer for the upcoming “Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles” movie – produced by Michael Bay and directed by Jonathan Liebesman – and even though most of what we see was already shown in the first trailer it still kicks a whole lot of butt!

Making up for what the other trailer lacked, this one just so happens to give us a pretty good look at all of the turtles in motion…even if they’re just short ones. What makes this trailer even more awesome is that we’re given a glimpse of shredder…twice! Keep an eye out for them because, while the first one is obvious, the second one is a little trickier.

The movie isn’t too far from hitting theaters around the globe with the official release date (so far) being the 8th of August but, for now, head down to the featured video section below to check out the second “Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles” trailer and don’t forget to leave a comment to let us know exactly what you think.

Our friends over at “Titan Comics” are extremely excited to announce that the very first issue of their upcoming comic book mini-series “The Evil Within” will be hitting local shelves on the 27th of August this year! The mini-series – which has a direct connection to the video game of the same name, developed by “Tango Gameworks” and published by “Bethesda Softworks” – will run for four issues, each of which being sold for the standard $3.99.

There are two modes in Tony Hawk’s Shred Session: Survival, where players pull off continuous tricks and combos as long as they can; and Shred Sessions, where players rip through levels to complete classic Tony Hawk game objectives, or compete head-to-head against friends’ top scores.

Real world skateboarding detail has not been overlooked, as players will be able to choose to skate as one of six modern day pros (Chris Cole, Aaron “Jaws” Homoki, Lizzie Armanto, David Gonzalez, Riley Hawk, and of course Tony Hawk himself), each with their own signature moves. Each rider can be outfitted with real skate brand apparel, and decks can be customized with signature designs that include bonuses to help reach even higher scores.

Australian Pokemon VGC Nationals Details Announced

Nintendo recently released dates for the upcoming Pokemon Video Game Championships but today they have announced the full details of the events for Australia, including dates, times and locations. While there are a bunch of detailed rules you can read here, the main ones are that battles will take place in the double formats with levels scaled down to level 50. Only Pokemon from the Kalos pokedexes may be used and no two Pokemon can share the same item or be of the same species. Time and location details for the Australian nationals are listed below.

Those looking to get some practice in for the event can partake in the recently annonuced Pokemon 2014 International Challenge, an online competition that takes place within the game and has the same rules as the VGC. Please note the online competition won’t commence until the 15th of May but entry opens on the 8th. Pokémon 2014 International Challenge May Announced

Pokémon Company International has recently announced the beginning of the 2014 International Challenge May, which will begin registrations on May 8th, 2014.

The 2014 International Challenge May is open to any Nintendo 3DS Pokémon X and Pokémon Y players in the world. Registration for the event will begin at 3:00PM BST on Thursday, May 8th, 2014, and will last until 2:59PM BST on Thursday May 15th, 2014. If the player cap is reached, however, registrations will be closed, so make sure you grab a spot while registrations are open. Space is limited, so be sure to keep this on your calendar reminders! The tournament will start at 3:00PM BST on Friday, May 16th, 2014. Stay tuned for this exciting competition! First screenshots of The Walking Dead: Season Two – In Harm’s Way released

Today Telltale Games has released the first screenshots for the next episode of The Walking Dead, In Harm’s Way. At the moment there is still no release date for this episode but for now you can check out these new screenshots which show that Clementine is going to be in way over her head especially after the events that happened after the end of the last episode.

It is worth noting that characters from 400 Days and your choices from A House Divided will play a major role in this next episode so make sure you are satisfied with your decisions before The Walking Dead: Season Two – In Harm’s Way is released.

Hyperdimension Neptunia Re;Birth1 to have a physical release in late summer

A little over a month ago we learned that Idea Factory International would be handling the release of Hyperdimension Neptunia Re;Birth1 themselves in the West and now the company has not only announced a release window but also some pleasing information regarding the release.

Unlike Monster Monpiece which is going to be released digitally only, Hyperdimension Neptunia Re;Birth1 will be sold both digitally and at retailers with physical copies in North America when it is released later this summer. Unfortunately Europe will only be able to play this remade Vita title, that features Neptunia V’s battle system as well as a slew of new content, through digital means. To accompany this announcement a number of new English screenshots for the title have been released and can be found below.
