Sonic Boom: Shattered Crystal was mysteriously absent at gamescom 2014 this year, as the Wii U title Sonic Boom: Rise of Lyric was the only title shown. Sega has made up for it at PAX Prime this year, releasing several screenshots and a brand new trailer featuring plenty of game play footage of Sonic Boom: Shattered Crystal. The trailer teases the new villain named Lyric who has kidnapped Amy.
Sonic Boom: Shattered Crystal will be released for Nintendo 3DS on November 11th, 2014, with Sonic Boom: Rise of Lyric following a week later for the Nintendo Wii U. Sonic Boomis the new take on the venerable Sonic franchise. It features an animated TV series, a comic book franchise, and two video game titles that are Nintendo exclusives.
Volition and Deep Silver made two big announcements on Day 1 of PAX Prime 2014. Saints Row IV will not only be making its way onto Xbox One and PlayStation 4, but a new standalone experience called Saints Row: Gat Out of Hell will also be coming to Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, Xbox One, PlayStation 4 and PC.
Both Saints Row IV: Re-Elected and Saints Row: Gat Out of Hellwill be releasing on January 27 in the U.S. and January 30 internationally. No other details are known about Saints Row IV: Re-Elected, but we do know that Saints Row: Gat Out of Hell will not require ownership of Saints Row IV to play. Players will inhabit fan-favourite Johnny Gat as he ventured into Hell to rescue the aints’ leader from the clutches of Satan. His plan? “Shoot the devil in the face!” Check out its official reveal trailer embedded below!

Destiny Available for Pre-Order and Pre-Download on Xbox One
To say that Destiny is a highly anticipated game is a bit of an understatement at this point. People all over the world are clammoring for Bungie’s latest first-person sci-fi shooter. Well now Microsoft are bringing you just that bit closer with the ability to pre-order AND pre-download the title. From today, players will be able to purchase one of the two bundles:
Xbox One DestinyPre-Order Edition, available starting today for $99.95, including the standard game, plus access to the Vanguard Armory and Emblem pre-order bonus
Xbox One Destiny Digital Guardian Edition: available starting today for $130.20, including the standard game, plus access to the Vanguard Armory and Emblem pre-order bonus, an exclusive Ghost Shell, Player Ship, and Player Emblem, and the Destiny Expansion Pass – an online pass for two upcoming Destiny Expansions featuring all new storylines, new cooperative and competitive activities, and new weapons, armor, and gear to earn.

Xbox One Standalone Kinect Sensor Available in October
So recently, Microsoft announced a cheaper version of the Xbox One that came without the Kinect camera. The response was actually overwhelmingly positive, almost doubling the sales of the console. However, the Kinect is a pretty vital part of the system, especially when it comes to those casual-appeal dance and party games, so Microsoft have announced that from October 16th, you will be able to buy the sensor individually for a RRP of $169.95. Not only that, but the device will actually come with a copy of Dance Central Spotlight so you can work it and twerk it to your heart’s content.
Forza Horizon 2 Demo Date and Music Tracks Announced
Time to rev up those engines and kick into high gear as Turn 10 Studios have announced that a demo for their upcoming Forza Horizon 2 will be available to all Xbox One owners from September 17th. The demo will showcase just what to expect from the new open-world racer, including some of the beautiful and intricate cars that you will be driving when the game launches at the end of next month.
As if that wasn’t enough, the developers have also announced that there will be 150 tracks to jam along to while you are behind the wheel, and lets face it, rocking out to your favourite tunes while driving down a highway is part of the reason we all tolerate driving in the first place. Rob da Bank, who created the soundtrack for the original Forza Horizon is making a return with a mixture of rock, pop, dance and electronic tunes to suit all tastes.

Anime distributor Madman has announced a special event for fans of Studio Ghibli and Japanese animation with a showcase set to celebrate filmmakers Hayao Miyazaki and Isao Takahata across Australian cinemas. Check out the trailer below.
A selection of four films will screen including The Tale of Princess Kaguya, The Wind Rises, My Neighbor Totoro and Grave of the Fireflies. Each animation is considered to be a classic masterpiece with plenty of recognition to show for it. Additionally, two feature length documentaries will offer behind-the-scenes insight into the making of the latest films, The Tale of Princess Kaguya and The Wind Rises.

Over the last few days XSEED Games has been sharing some English screenshots for Senran Kagura: Shinovi Versus and now we have gathered them together in one place. You can check out the screenshots below, which show off some of the new characters to the game, such as Yumi and Miyabi, as well as some battle screenshots of Ikaruga and a few miscellaneous images.
Currently Senran Kagura: Shinovi Versus is set to be released sometime in Fall 2014 both digitally and physically in North America while Europe will be given a digital download release sometime later in the year.
Today Electronic Arts and PopCap Games announced that they are planning on releasing Peggle 2 for the PlayStation 4 on October 14th. No price was given at the time of the announcement but it is worth noting that this version of Peggle 2 will include not only the classic Peggle Masters but also the Peggle Masters that were included in the Xbox One version of the game as well as the ones from the 360 version which was released back in May.

Today Nintendo dropped some good news for fans that have been waiting for a certain release date announcement. During their Nintendo Direct the company revealed that Bayonetta 2 will be released on the Wii U on October 24th in North America while the European release will also happen sometime in October, though no exact date was given.
This sequel features a storyline where Bayonetta must save her friend’s soul from the inferno and also comes with the original Bayonetta which has been completely modified for the Wii U and comes with a number of Nintendo themed costumes.
Today Undead Labs announced that they will be bringing State of Decay to the Xbox One in Spring 2015 under the name of State of Decay: Year-One Survival Edition. This version of the game is being called the “definitive version” and it will not only include the original State of Decay and both pieces of DLC, Breakdown and Lifeline, but also some brand new content that will be revealed closer to release.
No price was announced at the time, but State of Decay: Year-One Survival Edition will run at 1080p once it is released and you can check out the announcement trailer below.
