UBISOFT® AND ELECTRONIC SPORTS WORLD CUP UNVEIL THE 2015 JUST DANCE® COMPETITION

The Best Just Dance Players Around The World  Will Meet In Paris For The Finals

London, UK – July 8, 2015 – Ubisoft and the Electronic Sports World Cup (ESWC) today announced the second annual Just Dance World Cup. The competition is open to every Just Dancer on the planet aged sixteen years or older, regardless of their location. Last year, Just Dance became the first casual video game to enter the ESWC line up and the tradition will continue this year.

The four-month qualification period will start July 19 and run until October 29. Eighteen finalists will be flown to Paris for the finals on October 30 and November 1, 2015. There are two ways to qualify:

  1. In JUST DANCE 2015 on the World Dance Floor (online multiplayer mode of Just Dance)

Every Sunday between July 19 and August 23, the best session will be selected (between 7pm and 8pm UTC+2). Thirteen Just Dance players from all around the world will be selected (France, UK, Germany, Italy, Spain, Australia/New Zealand, USA, Brazil, Mexico, Canada, Asia, Rest of Europe, Rest of Americas).

  1. During one of the four live events where qualifications will be open to all residents of the country hosting the competition:

–      Montreal, Canada – Mondial Des Jeux on July 25

–      Köln, Germany – Gamescom, August 8

–      Sao Paulo, Brazil – Brasil Game Show, October 12

–      Paris, France – Paris Games Week, October 29

Diego San, the winner of the 2014 edition of the Just Dance World Cup, will be defending his title at the Grand Final. He’ll be competing on Just Dance 2016, which will be available on October 20, 2015 in the US and October 22, 2015 in EMEA (October 23, 2015 in the UK). Batman: Arkham Knight Story Driven Add-On – Batgirl: A Matter of Family – Trailer Revealed

Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment and DC Entertainment today revealed the trailer for the first story driven add-on for Batman™: Arkham Knight – Batgirl: A Matter of Family.  Set prior to the events of Batman™: Arkham Asylum, Batgirl: A Matter of Family will allow players to take on the role of Batgirl for the first time in the Batman: Arkham franchise. Batgirl: A Matter of Family will be available July 15 for fans who have purchased the Batman: Arkham Knight Season Pass and are connected to the Internet, or it can be purchased separately on July 22 for $10.45 MSRP on the PlayStation®Network and Xbox LIVE online entertainment network from Microsoft.

When The Joker kidnaps Commissioner Gordon and holds him hostage at the Seagate Amusement Park, Batgirl and Robin must fight against the odds to save him and avoid falling victim to The Joker’s sinister plan. Trained by Batman, Batgirl’s combat combines with unparalleled hacking abilities to take down enemies, control objects and solve puzzles.

Xbox One players can now instantly join the online Battleground of the Gods

ATLANTA – July 8, 2015 – Hi-Rez Studios today announced that its free-to-play MOBA SMITE, the mythology-themed third-person action game, has entered its open beta testing phase on Xbox One, the all-in-one games and entertainment system from Microsoft. Xbox One users* can now access SMITE’s open beta directly via the Xbox Games Store, or by visiting www.SmiteGame.com/Xbox.

SMITE’s in-game marketplace, which allows players to acquire new gods, cosmetic skins and more, is already live on Xbox One, and all purchases, progress and achievements earned in open beta will transfer seamlessly when SMITE officially launches on the console later this summer. SMITE players who link their PC and Xbox One accounts will receive a free Zeus Xbox skin for use with both accounts. Players can also take advantage of a one-time account merge option to copy select progress and items from their PC account to Xbox One.

 

Open beta users can also purchase the SMITE Founder’s Pack for $29.99 through the Xbox Games Store. The Founder’s Pack includes the following: every god currently in the game (65 so far on Xbox One) and all future gods, 400 Gems, the exclusive Ares “Soldier of Fortune” skin, and the limited Ymir “Cacodemon X” skin. The Founder’s Pack is available for a limited time and will be discontinued when the game launches fully on Xbox One.

The trailer gives players a glimpse of the challenges they can expect to face in this Viking-themed adventure as they unravel an unexpected story that will keep them guessing until the very end.

Gamers that pre-order the game early will get the exclusive ‘Legendary Fire Master Set’. This pre-order bonus includes a full body armor set with chest guard and leg armor as well as a protective helmet with visor that can be equipped once your body stat reaches 20. In Kyn gamers will get to control up to six different warriors in their party as they travel through fantasy world inspired by Viking myth and legend. (Emeryville, CA) – July 8, 2015 — Celebrating two of Robert Kirkman’s acclaimed comic series The Walking Dead and Invincible, today developer Other Ocean and Skybound games has announced the creation of a single add-on pack for #IDARB on Xbox One.

“We’re very excited to be partnered with Skybound for our first digital content offering,” said Mike Mika, Other Ocean director of development and #IDARB creator. “The team at our studio loves comics, and we are really excited to be working in these two rich universes. The Walking Dead and Invincible have given us great material from which to bring new and unique experiences to #IDARB. We think fans of both the comics and the game are really going to enjoy this.”

The Walking Dead and Invincible add-on will be the first new #IDARB content to be offered since the game launched on Xbox One in February of this year. #IDARB has been downloaded by 1.8 million Xbox One users worldwide and quickly gained its own esports community.

The Paris based studio Kylotonn Entertainment has developed a high profile in the racing and destruction racing genre.  The latest in the beloved demolition derby style racing game franchise, the new FlatOut game will be made available for multiple platforms including PC, Xbox One, Play Station 4 and more.

After receiving numerous offers from great developers worldwide, Strategy First is confident that Kylotonn Entertainment will deliver the FlatOut experience that fans have been waiting for. The All NEW FlatOut will be the most ambitious title in the franchise’s history.  For that to happen, Strategy First and Kylotonn have invited the online community to get involved in the creative process.  Over the course of the next few weeks and months, Strategy First and Kylotonn Entertainment will announce a variety of ways in which the online community may help shape the all new FlatOut game.

Naruto: The Seventh Hokage and the Scarlet Spring Print Release Planned; Other Titles Licensed by Viz

Over the weekend Viz Media made quite a few announcements regarding anime series and a handful of manga series that we have already covered, but that was only a few of the titles that they had picked up. We already mentioned how the company will be continuing their full color Dragon Ball releases into the Freeza Arc and how they will begin releasing the Legend of the Galactic Heroes novels starting in Spring 2016.

On top of those announcements the company also revealed that they are planning on releasing a print version of Naruto: The Seventh Hokage and the Scarlet Spring in Winter 2016, a couple of new shojo mangas including Shuriken and Pleats, a new series from the creator of Vampire Knight, and Behind the Scenes, a comedic drama from the creator of Ouran High School Host Club.

Finally Viz announced that they will also be releasing School Judgement: Gakkyu Hotei in Spring 2016. The aforementioned manga features the artist behind popular series such as Death Note and All You Need is Kill and tells the story of young students who have formed the School Judgement System in order to put a stop to crime running rampant in the elementary school system.

Monster Musume Anime Licensed by Sentai Filmworks

Today the anime adaptation of OKAYADO’s Monster Musume began airing in Japan and there was some news concerning the series in the West as well since Sentai Filmworks has announced that they have picked up the license to the Monster Musume anime series. The company has stated that they plan on releasing the series on home video sometime in the future as well as digitally, though currently the series can be streamed through Crunchyroll while the original manga has already seen six English volumes released in the West by Seven Seas.

Monster Musume is a romantic comedy series that explores a world where creatures called liminals have started living alongside humans and when Kimihito Kurusu is mistakenly chosen as a host family for the human-liminal exchange program, the first girl, a lamia named Miia, is only the first of many that will soon be vying for his attention beneath his own roof.
