Star Wars Battlefront Beta Announced for October

Electronic Arts and DICE have announced that the Star Wars Battlefront beta that will be available on the Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and PC through Origin will begin in early October, a solid month and a half before the game’s planned November 17th release.

They have also released the following details regarding the beta, mostly meaning what modes and maps will be playable. The Walker Assault on Hoth, Survival Mission on Tatooine, and a brand new mode that will be revealed soon called Drop Zone will all be tested.

The company also stated that those who want to check their stats, progression, customization load-outs, and appearances can do so through a companion app that will be released on smartphones prior to Star Wars Battlefront’s release.

Resident Evil Origins Collection Announced, ‘Wesker Mode’ Revealed for Resident Evil 0

Capcom had a couple of announcements to make recently regarding the Resident Evil series. First they announced that they will be releasing a physical disc called Resident Evil Origins Collection which will contain the remasters of the previously released Resident Evil and upcoming Resident Evil 0 on January 19, 2016 in North America and January 22, 2016 in Europe for the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One for $39.99.

It is worth noting that Resident Evil 0 will still be available as a digital download standalone for the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, and PC in early 2016 for $19.99 / €19.99 / £14.99.

Finally the company also revealed that Resident Evil 0 will now feature a new “Wesker Mode” which is a brand new element to the game that allows players to play through the game with Albert Wesker replacing Billy Coen as Rebecca Chambers’ partner. Ace Attorney 6 Revealed for 3DS, Confirmed for Western Release

It has been revealed in the latest issue of Famitsu that Ace Attorney 6 is currently being developed for the Nintendo 3DS. Very few details about Ace Attorney 6 have been revealed at the time but it has been said that it will feature a new system allowing for quicker play, won’t be set in Japan, and will be playable later this month at the Tokyo Game Show.

Interestingly enough, Capcom has already announced that Ace Attorney 6 (said the be the working title) will indeed be released in the West no matter what, though they have not stated when exactly fans can expect the title.

Call of Duty: Black Ops III Brings Nuketown Back as a Pre-Order Bonus

It wouldn’t be a Black Ops game without a multiplayer Nuketown map. Activision has announced that they are indeed bringing the classic map to Call of Duty: Black Ops III but this time around it is going to be a bit different. Now titled Nuk3town, the map is set in the year 2065 and has been “refreshed for a new generation of gameplay” allowing the developers to fully integrate the map with the title’s new momentum-based movement system which we talked about in our beta impressions.

Nuk3town will be included in all pre-ordered copies of Call of Duty: Black Ops III for the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC when the title is released on November 6th.

Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End Release Date Announced for Mid-March

Sony has announced that they are planning on releasing the long-awaited Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End worldwide on March 18, 2016. As with many announcements lately, the company not only announced when fans can expect Naughty Dog’s game to be released but also numerous ways that they can pick it up if they feel like dropping a bit of extra dough on it for some bonuses.

A $79.99 Special Edition, $119.99 Libertalia Collector’s Edition, and a $79.99 Digital Deluxe edition have been revealed and each one has various special bonuses included and you can check out all those details, including shots of each package and pre-order bonus, below:

Street Fighter V Collector’s Edition and Pre-Order Bonuses Announced

Capcom has revealed that a special $99.99 collector’s edition will be released alongside the standard version of Street Fighter V in spring 2016 and that it will include the game of course, a 10 inch fully painted Ryu statue, a forty eight page hardcover artbook, DLC code cards that contain various bonuses such as Udon Digital Street Fighter Comics, a sampler of the soundtrack, and a subscription to the Capcom Fighters Twitch Channel.

The company also revealed that those who pre-order the game from Gamestop will receive a Ryu Battle Costume featuring a strong and grizzly looking Ryu, Best Buy consumers will receive a very nice looking battle costume for Cammy where she is decked out in mission gear, while M. Bison gets an outfit from Amazon, and finally Chun-Li’s battle costume will be available as a digital download pre-order bonus.

Deus Ex: Mankind Divided Release Date Set for February

Square Enix and Eidos Montreal have revealed that Deus Ex: Mankind Divided will be released worldwide for the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC on February 23rd. The company has also revealed a pre-order campaign that they are calling the “Augment Your Pre-Order” campaign that locks various reward tiers behind how many pre-orders the game ends up receiving.

There are currently five tiers listed though only the first one, featuring a Classic, Enforcer, and Intruder pack DLC (of which pre-orderers can only select one) has been unlocked as of yet. You can check out the full details about the campaign at the official website while those who feel like dropping a bit of extra cash can also pick up a Deus Ex: Mankind Divided collector’s edition that includes a 9” Adam Jensen figure, 48-page Titan artbook, limited edition steelbook, and a copy of the game.

Hatsune Miku: Project Diva X Announced for PlayStation 4 and Vita

Sega has announced that they are now working on a brand new Hatsune Miku title for the PlayStation 4 and PlayStation Vita and it happens to be called Hatsune Miku: Project Diva X. The Vita version will be released first on March 2016 in Japan while the PlayStation 4 release will occur sometime in fall 2016.

Very little has been revealed for Hatsune Miku: Project Diva X as of yet, though a teaser trailer can be seen below, likely showing the Vita version of the game off. It is worth noting that it has been revealed that a “Live Quest Mode” has been added to the game where players can select various quests to level up Miku and the other Vocaloids by completing certain songs. It has also been stated that some Modules (costumes) can be obtained with some luck through the Chance Time sequences in these quest levels.

Grey Box, Six Foot and Petroglyph’s Competitive RTS Will Live-stream Fall Qualifying Rounds Leading Up to Finals at PAX South

HOUSTON and LAS VEGAS – Sept. 8, 2015 – Grey Box, Six Foot, and developer Petroglyph have announced the Grey Goo® Tournament Series (GGTS), a set of competitive multiplayer events for their real-time strategy (RTS) game, Grey Goo. Three qualifying rounds throughout the fall will pit Grey Goo’s top players against one another, all leading up to a final showdown from Jan. 29-31, 2016 at PAX South, where Grey Goo launched earlier this year. Grey Box and Six Foot are putting up a pool of cash and prizes estimated at $75,000, including a free trip to PAX South for the qualifying participants.

The first qualifying event in the GGTS is planned for Sept. 26, with subsequent matches coming in October and November. The top four finalists from each qualifier – as well as eight separate wild cards – will receive an invitation to compete at the championship at PAX South, with travel and lodging provided by Grey Box and Six Foot. From each qualifying round to the final battle in San Antonio, the entirety of the GGTS will be live-streamed with full casting and commentary at www.twitch.tv/greygoogame.
