Aniplex USA to Screen ‘The Anthem of the Heart’ Film in U.S. Theatres from November 1

Aniplex USA has just announced that November 1 will be the premiere date for North American theatrical screenings of the film The Anthem of the Heart -Beautiful Word Beautiful World. Tickets are now on sale at the official U.S. website here. Tickets will be available for Canadian screenings soon. Participating theatres will giveaway an exclusive item, the “Cast Message Board”, while stocks last. The film is being distributed by Eleven Arts and will be presented with the original Japanese audio and English subtitles.

The film is an original production created by the same staff who produced the TV series and film adaptation of Anohana: The Flower We Saw That Day. It was directed by Tatsuyuki Nagai and written by Mari Okada. Masayoshi Tanaka provided the character designs. Music composition was handled by Mito (Clammbon). A-1 Pictures produced the film. The Japanese cast list is as follows (character/actor):

  • Jun Naruse – Inori Minase
  • Takumi Sakagami – Koki Uchiyama
  • Natsuki Nito – Sora Amamiya
  • Daiki Tasaki – Yoshimasa Hosoya

The story of the film “touches upon the value of human connections and the influences of friendships set against the picturesque sceneries of Chichibu City of Saitama prefecture in Japan.” Aniplex USA provided a full synopsis of the film:

Jun Naruse is a girl who carries the guilt of breaking up her family with the words she carelessly uttered when she was young…

Suddenly, a mysterious “Egg Fairy” appears in front of Jun and casts a curse on her so that she can never hurt anybody with her words. Jun’s ability to speak is sealed away: every time she tries, she feels a pain in her stomach. Traumatized by this experience, Jun hides her feelings deep inside of her heart, turning to e-mail messages on her mobile phone as her sole means of communication.

Jun is now a second year high school student. One day, her homeroom teacher appoints Jun and three other students as members of the Community Outreach Committee. As it turns out, the appointed group is a rather unexpected mix of students. Other than Jun, the members of the Committee are Takumi Sakagami, the burn-out who never speaks his true intentions; Daiki Tasaki, the former baseball team ace who failed his run at the Championship due to an injury; and Natsuki Nito, the cheerleader and honor student who has some concerns about her love life. They all suffer from emotional trauma just like Jun.

persona-5-screenshot-020

Going into Tokyo Game Show fans of the Persona series were hoping for a release date announcement and while that is partially the case, it also came with some bad news. Atlus announced that Persona 5 will no longer be making its 2015 release window and will now be released in summer 2015 in Japan and sometime later in 2016 for North America. The reason given for the delay is to tune up the gameplay and make sure to deliver a product to meet fans’ great expectations.

That wasn’t all Atlus had to show however as they also revealed a third trailer for the title as well as a Japanese interview with the director accompanied by some extra gameplay footage.

Koei Tecmo‘s Western branches had more to announce during Tokyo Game Show than just the localization of Yoru no Nai Kuni, they also decided to announce that Samurai Warriors 4: Empires would also be heading over to North America and Europe in early 2016.

Samurai Warriors 4: Empires was released in Japan just yesterday and Koei Tecmo has confirmed that all three versions of the game, the PlayStation 4, PlayStation 3, and PlayStation Vita, will be localized when the title is released in the West.

To go along with this announcement the company released a handful of new screenshots for Samurai Warriors 4: Empires that you can check out below.

Although Yoru no Nai Kuni is set to be released in Japan in a couple of weeks for the PlayStation 4, PlayStation 3, and PlayStation Vita Koei Tecmo did not have anything extra to show off for the game at Tokyo Game Show after the last few trailers demonstrated elements of the game’s transformation system.

What they did have to announce regarding Yoru no Nai Kuni will still please many fans as Koei Tecmo announced that they are planning on bringing the PlayStation 4 version of the title to North America and Europe in early 2016.

It is worth noting that they are still using the Yoru no Nai Kuni name for now and shortly after the announcement stated to fans that they are re-thinking bringing the PS Vita version to the West as well.

You may remember that back in 2012 NIS America brought the Compile Heart developed Mugen Souls over to North America. Well, although the game was given a sequel it has largely been gone from the mind of gamers but apparently not forgotten as Ghostlight Interactive has announced that they are working on bringing the original game to the PC.

The company has announced that they are planning on releasing Mugen Souls on PC via steam in Q4 2015 for a currently unannounced price. It is worth noting that despite this being a separate release from the original PlayStation 3 version, that this PC release will still have the bathing mini-game removed due to censorship issues.

It is worth noting that Shuichi Kobayashi stated, via Games Talk, that the release for the game is “not that far off” but did not state an exact release window during his reveal. He also went on to say that the PSP remake is being ported to the PlayStation Vita and then that release is simply being ported, not upgraded, to the PlayStation 4.
