BUDAPEST, Hungary – Thursday 3rd March, 2016 – Hungarian developer studio Overon Station is pleased to reveal highly detailed concept artworks of their Martian adventure game, Dome City showcasing its diverse visual style. Two of the most important locations appear on the concepts; the sharp contrast between the spaceship (TC-08 “Tessa”) and Lanita, the city has a defining storytelling role.

“We’re aiming for a futuristic contrast; Tessa is based on nowaday’s future vision, resembling to cutting edge technology’s clear, elegant design with rounded shapes, lightweight plastic-like materials. Looking at the city’s visuals, it’s inspired by the 60’s “retro-futuristic” concept – huge, robust buildings, angular shapes, concrete and heavy materials everywhere. First Dev Diary Released for God Eater: Resurrection and God Eater 2: Rage Burst

Bandai Namco has released what will apparently be a series of developer diaries for God Eater: Resurrection and God Eater 2: Rage Burst. While this video features God Eater series producer Yusuke Tomizawa and the director Hiroshi Yoshimura as they discuss how excited they are about the project and the various possibilities a Western release offers, future developer diaries are said to unveil exclusive content for the Western release of the God Eater series.

God Eater: Resurrection and God Eater 2: Rage Burst are currently set to be released on the PlayStation 4, PS Vita, and PC in North America and Europe sometime this summer.

Umbrella Corps Latest Trailer Introduces Multi-Mission Mode

Capcom has released a new batch of information, screenshots, as well as a trailer for Umbrella Corps and the focus this time around is on the Resident Evil themed multiplayer shooter’s various missions offered in the “Multi-Mission Mode” that will be in the game when it is released on the PlayStation 4 and PC sometime in May.

In Multi-Mission mode players will cycle through eight different rulesets at random so team members can consecutively enjoy different gameplay experiences in a seamless way, and provides an expedited matching process for quickly getting into the game. Each of the different mission types can be found below:

  • Target Hunter – One target will be chosen per team and only killing that target will count towards the score. Players can choose whether to focus on protecting their own target or aggressively attacking the enemy target.
  • Respawn Match – Team deathmatch featuring respawns. Take advantage of the on-screen sound radar map to locate the enemies’ random respawn points.
  • Domination – Secure the specified data transmission point located within the stage for a longer time than the enemy team in order to win.
  • DNA Hunter – Kill zombies and collect their DNA samples. Destroying the opposing team’s Zombie Jammers is a key strategy in this mode.
  • SP DNA Hunter – Kill the special mutated zombies and collect their DNA samples. They are particularly tough and immune to the effects of the Zombie Jammer. It’ll take teamwork to bring these creatures down.
  • Collector – Teams battle it out to see who will be first to collect all 5 briefcases in the stage.
  • Protector – Find the briefcase and hold it for as long as possible, while fending off the opposition. The player who has it will become a moving target, so teams must work together effectively.
  • Collar War – Collect the battle data “collars” of downed enemy players, and pick up allies’ collars to prevent the enemy team from getting points.

Today Compile Heart has revealed some of the first screenshots for Black Rose Valkyrie alongside the announcement that this PlayStation 4 exclusive will be released in Japan on June 30th. For those that missed the game’s announcement, Black Rose Valkyrie is set in a world where an unknown virus from a huge meteorite has begun to spread through humanity. By infecting humans and consuming their flesh, these “chimera” are given enhanced intelligence and strength and have caused a global pandemic.

In order to prevent the virus from entering the country they have isolated themselves from the outside world and have formed the Special Force Valkyrie force to counter any rising threat. The lead character, Asashi Shiramine, is chosen as the commanding officer and after defeating a force of Chimera while on his way to the base with his new troops, the group proves to be exceptionally powerful, unfortunately strength won’t prevent the harsh reality and betrayal that awaits them.

Etrian Odyssey V Launches in Japan on August 4th, First Screenshots Released

Atlus has finally announced when fans of the Etrian Odyssey will have a chance to pick up the next entry in the series. Titled Etrian Odyssey V: The End of the Long Myth the game will be released on the Nintendo 3DS in Japan on March 4th and thanks to an updated store listing we also have a look at some of the first details about the game.

Etrian Odyssey V: The End of the Long Myth is set in a new land called “Arcadia” where four races, the human-like Arslan, elven Lunaria, animal-eared Cerian, and small Brani exist. The game’s storyline follows adventurers setting off from the city of “Aolith” which is at the bottom of the ancient tree of Yggdrasil and with each of the four races having their own legends for what treasures lie atop the world tree it is your mission to reach the top.

The game, created in cooperation with TransWorld SKATEboarding, introduces a completely new business model in mobile gaming by allowing players to win real, brand name lifestyle gear from retailers, Active Ride Shop and SkateDeluxe, as well as access the stores’ online web shops to purchase items seen in-game. 

In Hoodrip Skateboarding players can explore over 30 of Brooklyn’s legendary skate spots, decorated with amazing street art from popular graffiti artists, such as Ruben Sanchez, as they work to master over 30 skateboarding tricks and endless manual, grind and trick combos. Players can first customize their custom avatar with clothes, decks, grip, wheels and trucks selected from the in-game catalogue and then compete in Story Mode or in various Challenges to earn in-game cash and street cred from the community, as well as real-world items featured in the game. Skaters can join or form crews to compete either inside their crew or in sponsored challenges. But not every challenge is skill-based, as winners are chosen at random and other times, based upon a variety of performance requirements such as points earned, speed, longest manual, donuts collected, time, etc., thus allowing all players the chance to compete and win regardless of their particular skateboarding prowess – or lack thereof.

The Void of Deep Space — Independent developer Pixel Titans and apocalyptic death cult Devolver Digital have entered a blood oath to usher in the brutally violent demise of all humanity, with the release of the greatest (and final) game of all time, STRAFE®, in early 2017.

Known to its previous victims as “the fastest, bloodiest, deadliest, most adjective-abusing, action-packed first-person shooter of 1996,” STRAFE® has pushed the limits of computer-generated photorealism and hardcore sci-fi action so far, it’s doomed the human species to a fate so terrifying, so unreal, billions quake at the mere thought of not getting a chance to play it on release day.

The Gungeon – The noted pun artists of Dodge Roll Games and the firearm enthusiasts of Devolver Digital have announced that Enter the Gungeon will launch on April 5 via PlayStation 4 and PC/Mac/Linux.

Enter the Gungeon is a gunfighting dungeon crawler following a band of misfits seeking to shoot, loot, dodge roll and table-flip their way to personal absolution by reaching the legendary Gungeon’s ultimate treasure: the gun that can kill the past. Select a hero to battle alone or with a fellow Gungeoneer in co-op mode as you blast your way to the bottom of the Gungeon by surviving a challenging and evolving series of floors filled with the dangerously adorable members of the Cult of the Gundead. Gather precious loot, discover hidden secrets, and chat with opportunistic merchants and shopkeepers to purchase powerful items to gain an edge.

“Enter the Gungeon dares to dream about what would happen if you shot bullets at bullets that were shooting bullets back at you,” said Devolver Digital CFO Fork Parker. “Gun on gun crime is a real issue and I’m going to exploit it for money.”

Brave Gungeoneers will be armed to the teeth with hundreds of unique weapons and items for dangerous encounters with legions of gun-toting bullets. Handcrafted rooms combine to form procedurally generated dungeons and create a seamless new adventure as players unlock new weapons, uncover new secrets, and meet new allies sympathetic to their struggle. There’s also something called the Shotgun of Hate so get ready for that little gem.

Cyberpunk Casanova Visual Novel Placed on Kickstarter and Steam Greenlight

A new English developed visual novel is currently looking for help on Steam Greenlight as well as Kickstarter to get off the ground. This title happens to be styling itself a bit different from your average visual novel since, rather than simply court the girls you run into in an effort to see their ending, it is entirely possible to simply wind up dead by making poor choices.

The visual novel is called Cyberpunk Casanova and it is being developed by Jetstreame. The title takes place in a dystopian cyberpunk setting where corporations rule every aspect of life. Players will take on the role of Enzo Bryson, a twenty six year old playboy from an incredibly rich family. Thanks to his terrible attitude, his family has abandoned him, stripping him of all of his resources and credit accounts until thirty days pass in an effort to change his attitude and get him to join the family business.

Over the course of thirty days players will play as Enzo as he encounters many colorful characters, most of which are women of course, that he never would have met thanks to his previous lifestyle. When talking with these girls it is entirely possible that certain dialogue decisions can lead to an early death for Enzo or completely locking himself out of certain paths with the women in the game. On top of that, each of the characters in the game has a problem of some sort that is affecting their lives and Enzo can get involved to try and help out.

The thing is, some of these solutions may rely on other women meaning that players may need to interact with other characters in order to resolve another person’s issues, connecting many of the characters together.

If funded the company is aiming on releasing Cyberpunk Casanova sometime in February 2017 for the PC, Mac, iOS, and Android devices.
