‘Sym-Bionic Titan’ Is Out This Week From Madman Entertainment

Madman Entertainment is releasing the 2010-2011 Cartoon Network animated series Sym-Bionic Titan on DVD in Australia this week. It is officially scheduled for release this Wednesday, the 20th of April. Madman provided a brief description of the series: “Ever feel like you’re from another planet? Then you know exactly what it is like for Ilana, Lance and Octus as they try to fit in as teenagers on Planet Earth.”

The series ran for twenty 22-minute episodes. It was created by Genndy Tartakovsky, who has worked on Samurai JackStar Wars: The Clone Wars and Hotel Transylvania. Cartoon Network chose not to renew the series for a second season because it lacked merchandising opportunities.

Sym-Bionic Titan has yet to be released on home video in North America. Madman Entertainment’s release is labeling the release as ‘Season 1’, however it should be noted that they have followed this practice before with series that only lasted for a single season. It can be pre-ordered here for $34.95 AUD (Australian Dollars).

In addition to the return of high intensity matches, Stage 2 of the CWL will also feature a significant collaboration with Major League Gaming to host live events, as well as daily and weekly online tournaments. The weekend started with six ANZ teams competing on Saturday to move on to Day 2 competition.  Orbit and ChiefsESC won their respective semi-finals, with ChiefsESC securing the day 1 win. Both teams progressed to Sunday’s competition.

Earlier this week BlazBlue: Central Fiction was announced for the PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 3 and now thanks to Famitsu we have our first look at how the game will look on consoles as well as the first look at the new playable character, Es. She is from the XBlaze series and has a high combat ability and is always pursuing her mission though at the moment what she is aiming for in the BlazBlue fights are unknown.

This version of the game offers all of your standard console fighting game features such as an arcade mode, V.S. Mode, Score Attack, Time Trial, and Abyss Mode. This includes a story mode that will play out like an adventure game and is meant to tell the final chapters of the story that began all the way back when the first game came out in 2008.

Square Enix held a special event for NieR: Automata recently in Tokyo and during the event they revealed plenty of new gameplay footage for the title showing off how the combat in the game will look as well as a look at some of the new androids that will be appearing.

This includes the already revealed main character of NieR: Automata 2B who is an all-purpose battle android that uses a sword for close quarter combat and fight from range using her “Pod” support system. A male android named 9S possesses the ability to fight but he primarily focuses on investigating and hacking to gather information and A2, a prototype model that specializes in close-range combat but is currently not officially in use but continues to act on her own.

Star Ocean: Integrity and Faithlessness Introduce the Kingdoms of Resulia and Langdauq

Star-Ocean-Integrity-and-Faithlessness-screenshot-042

Square Enix has released a couple of new English trailers for Star Ocean: Integrity and Faithlessness and these two videos focus on introducing the Kingdoms of Resulia and Langdauq on Planet Faykreed as well as providing an overview for each of the kingdoms:

Kingdom of Resulia

Resulia is a vibrant kingdom that represents everything great about the Vestielian continent. Recently, however, it has been wracked by threats, including cursed beasts and a fiendish group of bandits named Eitalon. This upheaval plaguing Resulia is one reason Fidel and his companions embark on their journey; they wish to restore balance to this once productive and safe nation.

Kingdom of Langdauq

Langdauq has prospered under the rule of its matriarchs, or Venerable Mothers, the current of which is Malvenaec. Not only is she a fair leader, but she also knows how to sling a spell or two, and as a member of the ruling family, she has access to exclusive signets that are passed down from generation to generation via a sacred rite of passage. Thanks in part to this system, the nation has developed into a signeturgical power. Though Langdauq could easily abuse its proficiency in the signeturgical arts for political gain, it instead has forged an alliance with Resulia to provide it with military aid.

You can check out the videos below and as for the game itself, Star Ocean: Integrity and Faithlessness is set to be released on the PlayStation 4 in North America on June 28th and on July 1st in Europe though if you can’t wait, it will be released on the PlayStation 3 and PlayStation 4 in Japan on April 28th.

Idea Factory International has announced that they plan on bringing MegaTagmension Blanc + Neptune VS Zombies to the PS Vita in Europe on May 13th. This news comes after the game was delayed from its original release date in North America to May 10th and left the European release of the game in an undetermined state.

For those who have been following the game, MegaTagmension Blanc + Neptune VS Zombies is similar to Hyperdimension Neptunia U and features action based combat as the girls from the Neptunia series fight against hordes of undead at the Gamiacademi after the filming of a zombie movie goes awry.

More Divine Prison Tower: Mary Skelter Characters Revealed

Divine-Prison-Tower-Mary-Skelter-screenshot-(19)

Compile Heart has updated the official website for Divine Prison Tower: Mary Skelter and with it comes a few new details for the upcoming PS Vita dungeon crawler. Three new characters have been revealed and their names all reference various famous fairy tale heroines. The first girl is named Thumbelina and is the eldest of the three sisters that are part of the Chishiki Girls Squad. Being strict she often scolds Jack and has a hard time praising him.

Snow White is the middle of the three sisters in the group and she is kind and gentle to those she comes across, including Jack who she often tries to help out despite her clumsy nature. Finally the youngest of the three sisters is Sleeping Beauty. She often behaves oddly and due to her aimless nature she often acts strangely towards Jack and considering she rarely ever speaks, she is something of a mystery.

Shin Megami Tensei IV: Apocalypse Announced for Summer Release in North America

Shin-Megami-Tensei-IV-Apocalypse-screenshot- (1)

Atlus USA has announced that they will be bringing Shin Megami Tensei IV: Final over to North America under the name Shin Megami Tensei IV: Apocalypse sometime this summer. When the game launches for the 3DS, it will sell for $49.99 US / $64.99 CA. Shin Megami Tensei IV: Apocalypse shifts the focus away from the Samurai of the Eastern Kingdom of Mikado and onto the remaining humans in the ruins of Tokyo.

The protagonist is a Hunter cadet who meets an untimely end at the very beginning of the game, but thanks to the machinations of the god Dagda, he returns to live under Dagda’s servitude. From there, the protagonist becomes the pawn in a much larger plot that skirts the boundaries of peace and anarchy.

Dragon Ball Fusions First Trailer Released

Dragon-Ball-Fusions-Trailer-Screenshot-01

After a few magazine scans have revealed a decent amount of information on the new 3DS title Dragon Ball Fusions, we finally have our first footage of the game which reveals some very interesting aspects such as being able to free roam around the Dragon Ball World, the inclusion of cutscenes in the story mode and what the game will look like in action.

Dragon-Ball-Fusions-Trailer-Screenshot-02

The combat system is still a mystery with nothing being shown on that front (although it will look like it may involve strong RPG elements as opposed to being in real time like a traditional fighter), but we do know you will be able to recruit characters from all over the Dragon Ball world (including the afterlife) and timeline to fight in new battles alongside your custom created hero character.

Dragon-Ball-Fusions-Trailer-Screenshot-05

Being able to free roam in a Dragon Ball game is a pretty rare experience with most titles limited to simply fighting, so with that element and the exciting possibilities created by being able to fuse nearly any character together there is definitely a lot to be excited about here. Hopefully an International release is announced at some point but there is still no official word on that possibility. Check out the trailer for yourself below and let us know what you think in the comments below.
