The folks over at Bandai Namco Entertainment Europe and Behaviour Interactive have announced today that their game; Warhammer 40000: Eternal Crusade will have a full release this Winter (in Australia).

Based upon the Warhammer 40000 science fantasy universe by Games Workshop, the game will offer players the opportunity to play in a persistent, third-person, squad-based MMO. Out of the multitude of races in the fictional universe, players will be able to choose between 4 factions including Space Marines, Chaos, Eldar, and Orks (with each having 5 sub-factions to choose from). The Tyranids also appear to be featuring as NPC antagonists for the PVE section of the game.

The game will be free-to-play (or as is described on the game’s page: “Free-to-Waaaagh!”) but with only the Ork faction with limited progression opportunities available to players.
