The folks over at Bandai Namco Entertainment Europe and Behaviour Interactive have announced today that their game; Warhammer 40000: Eternal Crusade will have a full release this Winter (in Australia).
Based upon the Warhammer 40000 science fantasy universe by Games Workshop, the game will offer players the opportunity to play in a persistent, third-person, squad-based MMO. Out of the multitude of races in the fictional universe, players will be able to choose between 4 factions including Space Marines, Chaos, Eldar, and Orks (with each having 5 sub-factions to choose from). The Tyranids also appear to be featuring as NPC antagonists for the PVE section of the game.
The game is currently slated to feature PVP with up to 30 players a side and the PVE will allow up to 5 players to band together against the AI. The game will be free-to-play (or as is described on the game’s page: “Free-to-Waaaagh!”) but with only the Ork faction with limited progression opportunities available to players.
The game is currently in early access with access to some early backers but will have a full release onto PC, PS4, and XBOX One later this year.
