Exile Election Revealed for Nippon Ichi Software

Thanks to this week’s issue of Famitsu magazine we now know exactly what game Nippon Ichi Software was teasing with their recently launched teaser website. The game is called Tsuihou Senkyo, or Exile Election, and will be released for the PlayStation 4 and PS Vita sometime in the future, though apparently the game is already 90 percent complete.

According to the magazine, Exile Election will be an adventure game that is set inside of a closed amusement park where an election is held that hangs the lives of its twelve characters in the balance as they each campaign to have someone else executed. Similar to a certain other dark visual novel series, this title will also feature a mascot character in the form of a strange looking bunny named Alice.

Final Fantasy XV Shipments Reach Six Million

Square Enix has announced that they have exceeded six million copies of Final Fantasy XV shipped to stores and sold digitally. This news comes fairly shortly after the launch day shipments of five million. It is worth noting that Square Enix did not say they were doing anything special to celebrate reaching six million but they did take the chance to reiterate the various improvements and additional content that is being added to the game.

This includes the “Moogle Chocobo Carnival,” a special in-game event that brings an exciting festival to the whole city of Altissia, that will begin on January 24th and last for a limited time with all users who download the Holiday Pack or premium Holiday Pack+ being able to access the content.

Nioh’s Latest Trailer Introduces the Kunoichi

With Nioh set to be released on the PlayStation 4 in a little under a month Koei Tecmo has released a new minute long video focusing on an event scene in the game. This scene features the protagonist of the game, William Adams, encountering a female ninja, also known as a kunoichi, named Okatsu who calls him a “drunk samurai” while he tries to get across to her in English that he isn’t one.

You can check out the video below and as for the game itself, Nioh is set to be released by Sony in North America on February 7th, February 8th in Europe, and by Koei Tecmo on February 9th in Japan.

The rewards will transfer to the full game and only be available to Closed Beta participants.

Razer’s Three Screen Project Valerie Laptop Prototype Stolen from CES

Razer is offering a $25,000 reward for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the thief that made off with two of Razer’s Project Valerie laptop prototypes. The laptop was overshadowed by Razer’s projector prototype Project Ariana, which hauled in many awards at CES for the gaming company. But even then, the triple 4K monitor laptop turned a few heads at the show, pulling in several awards at CES 2017 on its own merits.

Razer CEO Min-Liang Tan made a Facebook post raising the possibility of industrial espionage as the motive for the theft. The two prototypes were lifted from Razer’s press room on Sunday, during the tail end of the show. The $25,000 reward will be up for a full year and tips can be emailed to Razer.

Diluvion Coming to PC and Mac on February 2nd

After missing the original Fall 2016 release date, Gambitious and Arachnid Games announced that their upcoming submarine adventuregame Diluvion will be launching on February 2nd. The game is inspired by Jules Verne’s classic novel 10,000 Leagues under the Sea and features a giant world to explore in one of nine submarines. Players will recruit their crew and travel between the few remaining towns that survived the great flood.

Of course, the seas are a dangerous place. Players will have to do battle with terrifying sea creatures and underwater anomalies during their adventures. Additionally, food and oxygen will always be a pressing concern for the crew. To survive, players will need to take risks and explore dangerous areas to find rare loot to upgrade their submarine, their home base, and their crew.

Diluvion will launch for Mac and Windows on February 2nd. The game is available for pre-order with a 15% discount and an exclusive bonus submarine on Steam.

AMSTERDAM and BERKELEY, Calif. – Jan. 10, 2017 – Gambitious Digital Entertainment has announced that indie developer Arachnid Games’ submarine exploration and action adventure title Diluvion will release on February 2 for Windows PC and Mac on Steam and GOG.com.

Set in a vast undersea world after a flood traps humanity beneath a ceiling of impenetrable ice, Diluvion lets players captain their own submersibles on a quest for riches and survival. There are nine unique vessels to command, each upgradeable with new weapons and specialized crew members to defend against hostile ships or other terrors lurking beneath the waves in real-time 3D combat.

But fighting isn’t the only key to staying alive; players will also have to manage food and oxygen, salvage and trade loot, collect bounties, and discover the depths of a dangerous world brimming with uncharted harbors, factions, stories and secrets. Captains can even build their own home bases of operation to shelter their fleets while growing in notoriety and wealth.

Diluvion is available for pre-order now, and players who purchase it before release will receive a 15% discount, the Captain’s Journal, which documents the game’s rich lore, and a pre-order exclusive “Deringer” submarine to use in-game. A Collector’s Edition version of the game will also be available at launch and will include a comprehensive digital art book, an exclusive playable submarine called “Manta,” and a downloadable copy of the game’s original soundtrack, composed by Michael Ward.

San Mateo, CALIF., January 10, 2017 – Sony Interactive Entertainment today announced that it will introduce the first color variation for the slimmer and lighter standard PlayStation®4 (PS4™) (CUH-2000 series) in “Glacier White,” which will be available in Europe, Australia, New Zealand, Japan and Asia, with regional launches starting later this month.

In Europe, the Glacier White PS4 will be available on January 24, followed by Australia and New Zealand on January 25, with a 500GB HDD (AUD $439.95 RRP). In Japan, the new colour will be available on February 23 with a 500GB HDD or 1TB HDD.

Users will be able to choose the simple, elegantly designed standard PS4 system from two colours, the original “Jet Black” and the new “Glacier White” to enjoy an array of entertainment experiences that are only possible on PlayStation.

On the software front, the PS4 software portfolio will continue to expand with highly anticipated games including Resident Evil 7 biohazard (CAPCOM CO., LTD.), Nioh (KOEI TECMO GAMES CO., LTD.), Gravity Rush 2, Horizon Zero Dawn and PaRappa The Rapper Remastered (SIE WWS).
