Detroit: Become Human release date announced

Sony Interactive Entertainment Australia is announcing the official release date for DETROIT: BECOME HUMAN. On the 25th of May, players will finally have the chance to get hands on Quantic Dream’s most ambitious title to date.

In a dystopian vision of the future, DETROIT is the story of three androids, three machines designed to obey who start to feel emotions. Confronted with a society where humans and androids maintain a fragile co-existence, each android will all have to decide who they want to be.

CONNOR is a prototype designed to help human investigators on cases involving androids; KARA becomes a fugitive by empathizing with a little girl, united in their dream of freedom; and MARKUS will become the leader of the android revolution.

Quantic Dream has imagined a new way of playing a story entirely based on direct game play. As the player, you’ll be able to control all three androids in turn, taking control of their destinies, and telling not only their individual stories, but also the story of their people and of their world.

CALL OF DUTY®: WWII DLC PACK THE RESISTANCE OUT NOW ON XBOX ONE AND PC

CALL OF DUTY®: WWII DLC PACK THE RESISTANCE OUT NOW ON XBOX ONE AND PC

March 2, 2018 – Xbox One and PC players can join the Resistance starting today, as Call of Duty: WWII – The Resistance is out now. Packed with new multiplayer content, The Resistance DLC pack delivers three new Multiplayer maps and an all-new War Mode multiplayer mission themed to reflect the spirit of the citizen soldiers who fought for freedom during World War II. The DLC pack also features The Darkest Shore, the terrifying new chapter in the twisted Nazi Zombies saga.

In The Resistance DLC pack, players will fight in iconic World War II locations, from Paris to Prague, all centered around historic uprisings in three new Multiplayer maps and an all-new high-octane War Mode map.

Valkyrie – Located in the Masurian Woods, East Prussia, this map was inspired by The Wolf’s Lair – The Fuhrer’s Eastern-front headquarters during Operation Barbarossa – the Nazi invasion of the Soviet Union. This is a medium-sized map with multiple overwatch positions and mounted machine guns.

Anthropoid – Based in Prague, Czechoslovakia, this map is inspired by Operation Anthropoid – the famous assassination attempt on a high-ranking German officer during World War II. This map is divided by a river, with long-flanking paths that can be used by snipers for ranged attacks.

Occupation – In this remake of a classic Call of Duty® map, players battle through the streets and shops of German-occupied Paris during WWII. Nearby homes and storefronts lend defensive positions for ambush and recovery.

Operation Intercept – Outside of St Lo, France, the next War Mode experience, developed in partnership with Raven Software, leads you on an urban rescue mission to save Resistance fighters being transported by train. The first objective on the Allied side is freeing the fighters, followed by the destruction of key communication equipment, and ends with stopping a train.

The Resistance DLC pack also features the newest horror-filled chapter in the co-operative Nazi Zombies saga, The Darkest Shore. Only days after the horrific disaster of Mittelburg, the crew has received intel that suggests Doktor Straub is on an island just north of Germany. Blanketed in fog, this island is surrounded by enemy air and sea power – and crawling with the Undead. Marie, Drostan, Olivia and Jefferson will need to battle all this and more to uncover the mysteries hidden within.

Call of Duty: WWII – The Resistance DLC pack is available now on PlayStation®4, Xbox One and PC. It is available now for a la carte purchase on PlayStation®4 and Xbox One, for a suggested retail price of AUD$19.95 / NZD$22.95. The Resistance DLC Pack is also included in Call of Duty: WWII DLC Season Pass*, featuring all four DLC Packs planned for the year, as part of the discounted bundle offered at a suggested retail price of AUD$64.95 / NZD$69.95 a discount of $15 off the individual purchase of all four DLC Map Packs on PlayStation®4, Xbox One and PC. Season Pass content is available first on PlayStation®4.

*Season Pass purchasers receive 2018 Call of Duty: WWII Season Pass content. Season Pass content is not final, is subject to change, and may not include all downloadable content available for the game. Season Pass content may not be available in all countries, and pricing and release dates may vary by platform. Season Pass content should be downloaded from the in-game store only; do not purchase separately, or you will be charged again. Season Pass content may be sold separately.

Real-time Tactical Combo-Based RPG City of the Shroud Comes to PC Summer 2018

Real-time Tactical Combo-Based RPG City of the Shroud Comes to PC Summer 2018

Full Community-Driven Narrative Hits Consoles in 2019

CLEVELAND – 2 March, 2017 – The first chapter of City of the Shroud, the real-time tactical RPG and social experiment from Abyssal Arts, will release Summer 2018 for PC and Mac. Xbox One and PlayStation 4 ports containing all chapters will debut in 2019.

Developed by a former Capcom production manager with a narrative penned by The Light and Shadow trilogy author Moira Katson, City of the Shroud will combine community-driven political intrigue, a healthy dose of humor, and rapid-fire skirmishes that reward lightning-quick execution. The community’s choices made throughout the campaign will impact the writing of future chapters and how the different narrative branches unfold for all players.

The peninsular city of Iskendrun is on the brink of civil war. The nobility control the government, but are losing their grasp on the people. Five leaders vie for control of the city, and the tension will soon reach a breaking point. Amongst this unrest, hostile creatures masquerading as humans have started appearing throughout Iskendrun.

Players will choose one of the five factions to align with. Factions gain influence when members complete quests. Following chapters will reflect political shifts large and small, the forging of strong alliances and the collapse of weak ones as player choices subtly shape the fate of Iskendrun. If any faction becomes too antagonistic or fails to secure enough friends, it may even be destroyed completely, thrusting the players – and writers – of City of the Shroud into uncharted territory on their journey to the story’s conclusion.

All five groups, regardless of their internal squabbles, are intent on defending their home. Combat moves in real time and borrows from classic fighting games for fast-paced action. A directional combo wheel appears for each attack, and butt-kickings can be delivered by inputting deadly ability chains.

Online one-on-one PVP will give players a chance to test out their best combos on one another. Balancing split-second decision-making and waiting for the perfect moment to strike will make the difference between victory and defeat.

City of the Shroud will be available in English for $19.99 USD / €19.99 on Steam. Purchase includes the whole game, with each chapter coming out every few months via free updates to allow time for the team and players to craft the story.

For more information, please visit City of the Shroud’s official page or follow Abyssal Arts on Twitter and Facebook.

Digital Board Game Armello Rolling Soon onto iOS

Digital Board Game Armello Rolling Soon onto iOS

MELBOURNE, VICTORIA – 1 March, 2018 – Armello, the award-winning fantasy digital board game brought to life by League of Geeks, will launch free for iOS devices on 15 March, 2018.

In addition to being free-to-play, Armello’s mobile version is completely devoid of bothersome energy systems and paywalls. The base game comes with the original four playable characters who debuted in the Steam Early Access release. Twelve more heroes, cosmetic items, and other content found in the PC and console versions, as well as their DLC packs, will be offered both as permanent in-app purchases and timed subscriptions that unlock all content.

Alongside player-friendly monetization changes comes a suite of gameplay alterations that tailor the Armello experience for mobile devices. The result is an adventure that takes advantage of the portable hardware and touchscreens in fun new ways with a brisker pace.

Fusing the rich tactics of card games, the strategy of tabletop games and grandeur of RPGs, Armello provides a fairy-tale anthropomorphic world to get lost in. Compete for the crown across single and multiplayer matches by embarking on epic quests, battling foes, ensnaring rivals in insidious traps, casting powerful spells, and hatching plans en route to deposing the mad king.

Each match begins with the Kingdom of Armello falling into darkness as the corrupting force known as the Rot drives the lion king insane. In response, the realm’s five animal clans – Bear, Rabbit, Rat, Wolf, and Bandit –call forth their mightiest heroes to brave the perilous journey to the monarch’s palace where they can challenge the mad ruler for his crown.

Players choose a character from one of the clans, each with their own strengths, weaknesses, and distinctive abilities, then compete against three others to ascend the throne.

“Tens of thousands of players are still playing Armello more than three years after its initial launch, and soon this passionate community will now be able to take Armello with them on the go,” said Trent Kusters, co-founder and director, League of Geeks. “It’s a perfect way to share the experience and introduce an entirely new group of fans to the magical world of Armello.”

Armello is currently available via PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and Steam for PC, Mac, and Linux.
