Kongregate’s premium publishing program, including the recent reveal of Speed Brawl, will also bring additional marquee titles to the platform during open beta.

10 Chambers Collective announces upcoming horror co-op FPS GTFO to be playable for first time at E3 2018

10 Chambers Collective announces upcoming horror co-op FPS GTFO to be playable for first time at E3 2018

Swedish independent game dev, formed from a small team of veterans previously known for titles such as PAYDAY: The Heist and PAYDAY 2, will be offering hands-on gameplay and interviews by appointment during E3.

10 Chambers Collective, an independent Swedish development team led by the game designer behind the PAYDAY franchise, Ulf Andersson, announced today that GTFO (www.gtfothegame.com) will be playable for the first time, by appointment at E3 2018 (Concourse Booth #8804). GTFO is a 4-player co-op horror First Person Shooter made with Unity that will test the mettle of the most hardcore players.

Since its announcement trailer debuted at The Game Awards in December 2017, GTFO has been selected by several outlets as one of the most anticipated games of 2018. At E3 2018 10 Chambers Collective is offering the first hands-on for journalists and a small number of selected hardcore fans – who have been picked from their ‘Ambassador Programme’. The playtests will take place behind closed doors and will run on computers from Alienware, powered by NVIDIA GPUs.

“We were blown away when we saw the debut trailer for GTFO during The Game Awards and our excitement was validated after we had the chance to play the game earlier this month,” said Isabelle Riva, Head of Made with Unity, Unity Technologies. “We are so impressed at what the small team of nine people at 10 Chambers Collective has been able to accomplish; it’s a testament to how Unity has the power to unlock the world’s creative potential.”

Together with this announcement, 10 Chambers Collective reveals new in-game screenshots from GTFO. The screenshots reveal a new enemy that uses long, jellyfish-like feelers to detect the players, and can be downloaded here.

Members of 10 Chambers Collective will be attending E3 and release more in-game screenshots and gameplay footage, which will be available to all media at www.gtfothegame.com.

“We‘ve been overwhelmed by the support we got during and after The Game Awards. Getting that kind of exposure when you’re a small self-financed team like us really changed the playing field. Now, with the support of Unity, we’re reaching a higher level once again and GTFO can really become the game we started to fantasize about three years ago”, says Ulf Andersson, founder of 10 Chambers Collective.

GTFO will be released in 2018 and can already be found on Steam. Interact with 10 Chambers Collective on Twitter, YouTube and Facebook, and join the ambassador program to get development info ahead of the public.

The post-apocalyptic Battle Royale FPS enters the fray in 2018!

The post-apocalyptic Battle Royale FPS enters the fray in 2018!

Survive the post-apocalyptic danger zone of Fear the Wolves, the upcoming competitive Battle Royale FPS by S.T.A.L.K.E.R veterans, Vostok Games. The game drops players, in squads or as lone wolves, into the oppressive environment of a radiation-ravaged Chernobyl. The classic Battle Royale mode forces them to fight to be the last man standing out of 100 fighters, while another to-be-unveiled mode brings an exciting twist to the genre.

To secure the top spot, players will need to worry about more than just other survivors. Across the hostile wastes, everyone is threatened by deadly anomalies and the dynamically-changing weather. With time wearing on and the day turning to dusk, survivors are forced to constantly adapt their strategies. Protective gear allows players to explore dangerous off-limit radioactive zones inaccessible to less-equipped opponents – but filled with powerful loot. All the while, the howls of mutated creatures echo through the wasteland…

Further breaking the mold of the genre, every game is made truly unique by the irregular and unpredictable spread of deadly radiation, which organically closes in on players with different stages of toxicity. Safety is rarely certain, and adept players will need to read the environment to determine when it is no longer wise to remain in an area. Between all this, other players, tight shooting mechanics, and an arsenal of guns and melee weapons at your disposal, no two matches are the same.

These new screenshots showcase some of the locales players will visit while scavenging for weapons and hunting other players, including factories, power plants, small towns, and villages. There is also an exclusive first look at the game’s mutant wolves – fearsome creatures that stalk the perimeters of radioactive zones, attacking players in packs and proving formidable foes for anyone not adequately armed.

More information will be revealed at E3 2018 next month, so stay tuned for more!

Fear the Wolves comes to PC in 2018, later on consoles. Early Access begins this summer on PC.

ZERO-G SCI-FI THRILLER DOWNWARD SPIRAL: HORUS STATION IS OUT NOW ON PC, WITH VR SUPPORT

ZERO-G SCI-FI THRILLER DOWNWARD SPIRAL: HORUS STATION IS OUT NOW ON PC, WITH VR SUPPORT

PlayStation 4 release to follow this summer

Helsinki, Finland – May 31st, 2018 – Independent game and technology studio, 3rd Eye Studios’ long-awaited zero-gravity space adventure, Downward Spiral: Horus Station is out now on Steam, with optional Oculus Rift with Touch, HTC Vive, and Windows Mixed Reality support for $19.99 / €14.99 / £14.99. A PlayStation 4 release will follow this summer, with optional PlayStation VR support.

“Horus has been made by a small, passionate and bold team that wanted to tell a different kind of science fiction story,” said Gregory Louden, Lead Designer of 3rd Eye Studios. We can’t wait for players to discover our world, message and question for them by the end. We’ve brought all of our experience from games, cinema and music to create something we feel is atmospheric and different.”

Set aboard an abandoned space station, Downward Spiral: Horus Station lets players uncover the sci-fi mystery on their own, through close observation and interpretation. With no cutscenes, dialogue or text, players will have to rely on environmental storytelling to piece the plot together, as they explore this derelict vessel. Solving the mystery of the space station will take wits and ingenuity as you fight or avoid dangers unknown. Use the ship’s maintenance hardware – like bolt throwers, rail guns, and arc welders to take out threats, solve puzzles and find the truth as to why Horus Station has been left drifting in space.

Key to this otherworldly atmosphere is Downward Spiral: Horus Station’s novel zero-gravity movement mechanic, wherein players must push themselves off of the scenery or use grappling tools to navigate this chunky, 70’s retro-chic space station. Further accentuating this trippy mood is an ambient soundtrack composed by platinum selling HIM frontman Ville Valo.

3rd Eye Studios realizes that not everyone likes to play games the same way, so Downward Spiral: Horus Station features a bevy of gameplay options to tailor the experience. Those with Virtual Reality and motion control kits can engage with an extra level of immersion, the whole game can be played entirely in single-player or two-player co-op, and there’s even a game mode that removes combat entirely from the campaign for players who prefer a more relaxed, contemplative experience. In addition to Horus Station’s story campaign, there’s eight-player PvP and PvE multiplayer modes including Deathmatch, Horde, and Survivor challenges.

Iro Hero merges the old school pixelated aesthetic of arcade classics with modern gameplay sensibilities such as complex enemy AI, polarity mechanics, and mind-bending puzzle elements. Iro Hero’s story is set in the year 2306, a century after humans learned how to harness their energy to produce electricity. In the intervening years, nefarious enterprises have turned this gift into a curse, with humans reduced to little more than batteries. Following the death of his mother, a teenager named Iro learns that he may be the key to mankind’s freedom.
