CULVER CITY, Calif., April 10, 2019 — As fans get ready for a new chapter of the Ghostbusters universe, attendees of the first-ever Ghostbusters Fan Fest, presented by Wizard World, will hear from Jason Reitman, the director and co-writer (with Gil Kenan) of Sony Pictures’ upcoming 2020 Ghostbusters film, on the famed Sony Pictures Studio Lot this June 7th and 8th in Culver City, California. With Ghostbusters (1984) stars Dan Aykroyd (Dr. Raymond Stantz), Ernie Hudson (Winston Zeddemore) and director and producer Ivan Reitman already slated to attend the event with several other stars from across the franchise and a bevy of themed activities, it’s the ultimate, once-in-a-lifetime celebration of everything Ghostbusters.

Reitman is a four-time Academy Award® nominated filmmaker. He made his feature film debut with the 2006 Sundance hit Thank You For Smoking. Reitman notably earned Academy Award® nominations for directing Juno and Up In The Air, the latter of which earned him a Golden Globe® Award, WGA Award and BAFTA Award for Best Screenplay. Other films include Young Adult, Tully, and The Front Runner. Reitman also produced four seasons of the Hulu comedy series Casual through his Right of Way Films. He also executive produced the Academy Award®-winning film Whiplash, Karyn Kusama’s Jennifer’s Body and Jean-Marc Vallee’s Demolition.

Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order to be Unveiled on April 13

After first being revealed with only a name and a development team it looks like some new information for Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order is finally going to be revealed this weekend at a Star Wars Celebration event where Respawn Entertainment will host a panel that will actually reveal the game and provide “never-before-released details ahead of the game’s fall 2019 release” according to the panel’s description.

At the moment the only real information released so far is that the events of the game will take place between the Episode III and the Episode IV movies. For now though we have a nice little teaser tweet from EA that you can find below.

Sniper Elite V2 Remastered Launching on May 14th

Sniper Elite V2 Remastered is coming to Switch, PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One on May 14th at both physical and digital retailers. Sniper Elite V2 Remastered won’t be a full upgrade of the original game like Sniper Elite like V2 was, but it does tinker with the 2012 version to bring it up to modern standards. 4K and HDR support is coming to PC, PlayStation 4 Pro, and Xbox One X. The graphical engine has also been improved with improved visual effects, a new lighting system, and other smaller improvements.

The new graphics comparison trailer shows some excellent side by side footage. Based on my eyes, the Remastered edition comes quite close to the most recent title from the franchise, Sniper Elite 4.

Sniper Elite V2 Remastered will come with all DLC released for the original game, the new photo mode, and expanded 16 player multiplayer (8 players on Switch).

Sniper Elite V2 Remastered is currently on sale at digital retailers with a 10% pre-order discount. The game is normally priced at £29.99/$34.99 USD/€34.9. Steam owners are also getting a upgrade offer if they already own the original Sniper Elite V2, as £6.99/$9.99/€9.99 will net them a copy of the new game.

Moonlighter “In Between Dimensions” DLC Announced

Digital Sun and 11 bit studios is celebrating 500,000 copies of Moonlighter sold on Switch, PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One by announcing the new “Between Dimensions” content DLC and putting the game on sale on Steam and Nintendo eShop. Steam users will see a 40% price drop. Nintendo Switch owners will have to deal with the dreaded Switch tax as their sale price is only 33% off.

“Between Dimensions” is set to launch in the summer of 2019 (winter 2019 for regions in the southern hemisphere). The new DLC introduces the new Interdimensional Dungeon filled to the brim with challenging mini-bosses. New creatures are also being added to the game and can be spotted in both the new dungeon and the old ones from the base game. Finally new Trick Weapons will be added to the loot table. These weapons live up to their name by offering powerful abilities that can easily harm the user.

Date A Live: Rio Reincarnation Western Release Set for June

Idea Factory International has announced that they have narrowed down the release window for Date A Live: Rio Reincarnation in the West with the game arriving both physically and digitally for the PlayStation 4 and digitally for PC in June. The company also has revealed that, to match with Sony’s latest censorship policies, that the PlayStation 4 version of the game will have two modified CGs though what these CGs were of has not been stated. Thankfully the PC version of the game will feature the original CGs and both releases of the game will still retain the same story content that was found in the original release.

Date A Live: Rio Reincarnation offers eleven different characters to choose from with over one hundred and fifty dating events with players able to make choices that will affect their overall destiny with the girls as they aim for each heroine’s true ending.

Retro Neptunia Shooter Announced for PC

While it may have initially started out as an April Fool’s joke it looks like Idea Factory International is going to make the retro Neptunia Shooter a real thing. Developed by Preapp the game will be a pixelated Neptunia shooter that will be released on PC with both Japanese and English language options sometime later this year.

No price was given for Neptunia Shooter but some details were given for the game that will span across six unique bullet-hell worlds each capped off with a boss that will join the player’s mission once they are defeated. Neptune and her friends must travel through the shmup space dimension and defeat the last boss once and for all.

Ysbryd Games and Sukeban Games will partner with Limited Run Games to produce physical editions for Nintendo Switch and PlayStation 4, as well as a special Collector’s Edition boxset for Nintendo Switch. Further details on these physical editions will be announced later this year.

In a cyberpunk future, capitalist forces drive the corrupt government of Glitch City, a place known for both rapid advancements in technology and a disregard for the ethical quandaries of nanomachine experiments on the general public. VA-11 HALL-A puts a shaken-not-stirred spin on point-and-click games with mixology: characters react differently depending on the drinks served and how much alcohol they’ve had. Learn more about Glitch City through the lens of a resident doing her best to maintain a somewhat ordinary life in an extraordinary metropolis.

Enhance the atmosphere of this futuristic experience by curating different electronic playlists on the jukebox to listen throughout the night. Infectious synthpop, ambient electronic music and a dark pixelated anime art style frame the gloomy but laid back experience.

SEATTLE, April 9, 2019 — En Masse Entertainment, a player-driven publisher focused on delivering great games and great service, have released the “Skywatch: New Heights” content update for the PC version of TERA, their flagship, True Action Combat MMORPG. Fresh challenges await both new and veteran players as they journey to the updated level cap of level 70. Things kick off with level 65 players receiving “The Nightmare Begins” quest-chain, which will help guide players as they level up.

The signature BAMs (Big-Ass Monsters) of TERA are more threatening, and rewarding, than ever with the introduction of Field BAMs. These monstrosities are much larger cousins of the BAMs players are familiar with, spawning randomly throughout the world of TERA, and all players who contribute towards downing one of these deadly enemies are eligible for experience and loot!

There’s more to “Skywatch: New Heights” than just gaining levels; the update also introduces the Skill Advancement and Gear Fusion systems for additional character customization.

Skill Advancement uses experience items earned from downing Field BAMs, Vanguard Requests and other sources to gradually improve a skill’s performance, with player’s eventually unlocking up to three alternate versions of select skills. These new skill versions can be freely changed any time players are out of combat, allowing them to tailor skills to suit a diverse array of challenges.

The Gear Fusion system allows players to combine two pieces of gear together, consuming one of the items and granting additional stats to the other. Additionally, once players hit level 66 they unlock two new gear slots—for Halidoms and Relics infused with the power of the gods!

Rounding out the update, the dungeons of TERA have received a considerable overhaul in response to player feedback. Instead of limited number of daily entries, characters now receive a weekly supply of Adventure Coins to enter dungeons. The cost to enter a dungeon scales based its difficulty, and Adventure Coins regenerate whether or not a player is online, granting them more flexibility on how they spend them and when.

This update also includes 7-player variants of Antaroth’s Abyss, Grotto of Lost Souls, and Dark Reach Citadel; as well as solo variants of Bastion of Lok, Sinestral Manor, and Cultists’ Refuge. Additionally, all level 20-60 dungeons have been rebalanced for 3 players of any class, removing the matching requirements for tanks and healers.

“Skyreach: New Heights” lays the foundation for TERA updates on PC throughout this year, with more content, features, and systems to be released in the coming months.
