Outcast was one of the earliest open world titles in video gaming history when it was launched in 1999. The game is now being brought back to life with a modern day remake by Bigben Interactive (2Dark) and Appeal. Titled Outcast: Second Contact, the game stars Cutter Slade, a former Navy SEAL who has landed on the planet of Adelpha and is now heralded as a messiah of ancient prophecy by the locals. He soon discovers that the fate of Earth and Adelpha are tied together. Now, Slade must stop an energy cataclysm before it destroys everything.
Outcast: Second Contact is set to launch on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and Windows later this autumn.
