Viz Media has announced that they are continuing their partnership with Rose City Games to help bring a brand new feline-style flavored indie game to consoles. The title is a supernatural action game called Cat Lady and currently details on what to expect from the game are a bit slim as no consoles have been confirmed at the moment but the game itself will involve playing as Ally Marie who arrives at her Grandmother’s mansion only to find that an ancient evil has taken hold of it.
Only through her own abilities and her grandmother’s many cats can she try and set things right. You can check out a teaser trailer for the game below and keep an eye out for more details in the future.
PQube has announced that they will be bringing Kemco’s psychological horror visual novel Raging Loop to the West where it will be released both physically and digitally for the PlayStation 4 and Nintendo Switch in North America and Europe sometime later this year. Raging Loop allows players to immerse themselves in a thrilling psychological horror story taking place in the secluded Japanese village of Yasumizu.
A heavy mist surrounds the place, preventing everyone from ever leaving. Ancient gods have come back to hunt the villagers down one by one. The feast has begun, can you escape the village alive?
Haruaki Fusaishi is a young man freshly arrived to Yasumizu, a remote settlement in a mountainous region of Japan. He will become involved in an ominous local tradition known as the feast. Among the villagers lurks the werewolf, an entity who has sworn to take revenge on everyone. Clear the game to unlock the Revelation Mode and discover the story in a new light. You will see the inner thoughts of the characters and unlock new scenes that will give you more insight about their motivation.
Continuing with their trend of focusing on the girls as they were “conquered” in the storyline of the series Idea Factory International has released a new set of screenshots and information for Date A Live: Rio Reincarnation by introducing Kotori Itsuka, who is also known as Efreet.
Shido is her adopted brother, and she became a Spirit by someone else’s hand. While wearing her trademark white ribbons, she plays the role of a doe-eyed and adorable younger sister. However, when wearing her black ribbons, she becomes the commander of the secret organization Ratatoskr, which aims to stop the spacequakes by interacting with the Spirits. She loves lollipops so much that she carries a specialized case to bring them wherever she goes. The angel she manifests is Camael.
You can check out these new screenshots below and keep an eye out for the game when it is released on July 23rd in North America and July 26th in Europe for the PlayStation 4 with the PC release coming to Steam on July 23rd.
With Dragon Star Varnir set to be released on the PlayStation 4 next week and sometime this summer for the PC Idea Factory International has released a five and a half minute long trailer giving potential players an overview of various systems and a bit of the story that will be found in the game.
The overview trailer touches upon Zephy’s journey to lift the curse placed upon the Witches of Varneria and revisits the pillars of 3-Tiered Battles, including the Devour, Dragon Awakening, and Dragon Core Systems. Zephy, tasked with hunting witches, soon finds his own fate intertwined with his former enemies. Fight against dragons in turn-based, midair combat, using tiers, transformations, and more to weaken them and devour their abilities. The fate of three witches is in your hands will you choose to save them or sacrifice them to gain items and skills. Your decisions will change the course of the game.
It’s a great day for PC gamers, as Octopath Traveleris now available on Steam. The game is priced at $59.99 USD or $89.95 AUD. Originally, the game was a Switch exclusive, where it earned praise for bringing old school JRPG charms to a modern platform with its hybrid of 2D sprites and 3D visuals.
Octopath Traveler follows eight characters on their personal journeys through Orsterra. Each character have their own distinct stories, side quests, and abilities.
Combat is a take on the classic turn based combat system. Octopath Traveler emphasizes finding and targeting weak points using Path Actions, skills, and talents.
Last month we learned that multiple Telltale Games series would be removed from GoG and now it looks like Minecraft: Story Mode is about to be removed entirely from any platforms it is still available on. The official Minecraft website has announced that both Minecraft: Story Mode Season One and Minecraft: Story Mode Season Two will be discontinued on June 25th as a result of Telltale Games’ closure. In a bit of a unique twist however, the company is informing everyone that should they want to ever play these episodes in the future if they have purchased them, that they should download all episodes now as they will apparently not be available for download past this date.
This marks a rather unique form of removal as usually games can still be downloaded even after being removed from the store so if you happen to own these episodes digitally or previously purchased a physical edition that required some episodes to be downloaded, do so now before the 25th or potentially lose them forever.
Ys Net and Deep Silver have announced that Shenmue III will no longer be releasing on August 27th but will now be releasing on November 19th for the PlayStation 4 and PC with the publisher squashing rumors of an Xbox One release through Twitter.
There is no planned version of Shenmue III for Xbox One.
The reason given for the delay is that “Whilst almost ready, the game simply needs a little more refinement before being truly finished. We feel that the extra time we have will help us deliver the true Shenmue experience players around the world deserve.” In this third installment of the epic Shenmue series, Ryo seeks to solve the mystery behind the Phoenix Mirror, an artifact sought after by his father’s killer. His journey takes him to an immersive representation of rural China, brimming with activity and surrounded by beautiful landscapes.
