At a special event in Tokyo, Square Enix announced today that Final Fantasy XIII will be released in Japan as a PlayStation 3-exclusive on December 17. This date is confirmed on the game’s official website. It will sell for 8,800 yen, $95(USD)
The game’s western release remains unknown, but Square Enix is hoping to reduce the usual localization period of about six to twelve months.
“We can’t announce any specific dates yet,” said series executive producer Yoshinori Kitase at the event. “But in the past, it took about a half a year to a year. We’re hoping that this time, we can release it with only about one season’s worth of a delay.” Provided such a schedule were indeed met, western gamers might be seeing Final Fantasy XIII (on both their PlayStation 3s and Xbox 360s) as early as March or April of 2010.
Lets keep our fingers crossed and hope that Square Enix can complete the localization as quickly as possible. I have already pre-ordered my copy of FFXIII.

Com2us recently announced at PAX-09 (Penny Arcade Expo 2009) the long awaited sequel to its highly successful RPG game on the iPhone : Chronicles Of Inotia 2.
Chronicles of Inotia two will feature and provide players with both a party style and network style gameplay. Making it very similar to a MMORPG. Players will be able to go join guilds and battle against other guilds, go on raids and seiges on castles to gain notoriety.
The main story you will be able to control three characters and hire mercenaries to aid you in your quest (you can switch between characters and build each one the way you like with their own specific skills and abilities) or ask a friend that you have met online to assist you, making the adventure even more fun and entertaining.
The online features discussed so far seem to be very interesting. Items earnred during battles, raids and sieges can be shared amongst your guild members or stored online via a network storage box. This will come in handy in assisting some of the newer weaker memebers of the guild that might need a new shiny suit of plate mail armour +2. Its a great idea and will encourage a lot of online play, and the online community for Chronicles of Inotia 2 will surely flourish.
I for one cant wait to get my hands on Chronicles of Inotia 2. The possibilities of being able to play the story mode campaigne with a friend online will be totally amazing.
With a release date of roughly late 2009, Chronicles Of Inotia 2 is shaping up to be one of the most anticipated titles on the Apple Iphone / iTouch.

Digital Extreme is the software company behind Bioshock 2’s multiplayer mode. Bioshock 2 multiplayer options so far announced is a free-for-all, a team deathmatch, and an unannounced mode. This unannounced mystery mode, is what most Bioshock fans are eager to find out. The free for all and team deatmatch modes are looking great, but I believe that the single player experience is what is going to steal the show and the main reason Bioshock fans will be buying the game.

Singularity the video game is being developed by Raven Softwareand published byActivision. And will be released for Microsoft Windows, Xbox 360, and PlayStation 3.
In Singularity, you will fight you way through an ever-shifting environment haunted with time ravaged creatures, while sudden time waves hurl you back and forth between 1950 and the present day. Use your wits and the perfect weapon “The Time Manipulation Device” to unravel the conspiracy on the remote island of Katorga-12.
The game takes place in 2010 and the plot revolves around a mysterious island known only as “Katorga-12” where Russian experiments involving “E99”, took place during the height of the Cold War era. Sometime during 1950, a terrible catastrophe known as the “Singularity” occurred on the island. Players control Nate Ranco, an Air Force pilot who is sent to investigate bizarre radiation emissions coming from the island, only to crash land there. After regaining consciousness, Nate finds the TMD (Time Manipulation Device) and discovers that the island is constantly shifting between the time periods of 1950 and 2010. Ranco’s goal is to find his co-pilot, escape the island and eventually prevent the Singularity from occurring.Besides having to deal with hostile Russian forces in both time periods, the player must also deal with hideously mutated flora, fauna and former residents of the island, some of which have developed time manipulation powers of their own.
