Snow from Capcom is back again for some more interesting facts on Lost Planet 2 Bosses .. today the Salamander gets a name .. I was soo used to calling him Sir Om Nom Nom .. but looks like I have to start calling him by his real name .. what is it .. ?? read below and find out 🙂
Thanks Snow for the details

You should recognize this boss monster. And now we’ve finally given the Salamander a real name, Gordiant. You’ve seen lots of Gordiant since we’ve first announced LP2. He’s one of the few bosses in any game that eats you, you fight him in his guts, then get to take the slip’n slide wild ride down his sphincter and poo’d out. Literally. With the excitement of finally revealing the name of good ol’ Sir Om Nom Nom, I’ve got some new fancy screen of him to show you, and some tips of how this boss works, in case you’ve missed the demos on PSN or XBL.

First off, the Gordiant is the final boss you’ll encounter in Episode 1. And he likes snacking on little menacing snow pirates like yourself. But don’t worry, if he gobbles you up that’s not the end of you. You’ll find yourself able to shoot up his juicy innards and take the rear exit, if you catch my drift.

Final Fight is one of the all-time greats of the beat-em-up genre. Choose from Mike “the Mayor” Haggar, Guy, or Cody, to team up and take back the kidnapped Jessica. On your way to final boss wheelchair crossbow master Belger, you’ll have to fight your way through Street Fighter boss crossovers, including Rolento, Sodom, and Andore (aka Hugo?). This game is absolutely required reading for any fan of beat-em-ups, and features enhanced HD graphical filters (a la MVC2), and drop-in online co-op!
Magic Sword is another side-scrolling classic, chock full of everything you want out of an epic dungeon fantasy: secret doors, power-ups, tons of enemies, bosses galore, and oh yeah—assist characters (go with the Knight—he’s so good!). Magic Sword also gets more on-line coop goodness, and the purdy new HD graphical filters.
Final Fight: Double Impact will be shipping with GGPO netcode. Tony Cannon, GGPO creator created GGPO in an effort to bring that immediate arcade feeling online. He’s succeeded beyond the wildest expectations, but don’t take my word for it: try it yourself, and become a believer! Check out GGPO here :
