Paperboy delivering his newspapers to you on the iPhone !!

Elite Systems have announced that the classic arcade game Paperboy a game we have all played and most of us LOVE to the Apple iPhone.

So far not too much is known about what’s going to be included, by the looks of the images it seems we have a new 3D mode when Paperboy makes his way through the obstacle course to the finish, to complete his daily deliveries.  Graphically it’s looking very nice for an iPhone / iPod Touch game.

Bit of history :

Paperboy was an arcade game originally released in 1984 by Atari.  It had made its way into hour homes on many platforms.  Your job was to deliver newspapers to your customers while riding your bike and avoiding all sorts of obstacles like runaway lawnmowers, dogs, remote control cars, and many more. 

Elite did advise that Paperboy will be available sometime next week.  Capsule Computers will keep you posted once we have any further news

FIFA 10 Is Europe’s Top Selling Game Year to Date

EA today announced the continued record-setting sales pace for FIFA 10 as well as the development of FIFA 10 Ultimate Team, a game mode expansion and new way of playing FIFA 10, the highest rated sports game* ever on the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360.

Based on internal sales projections, FIFA 10 has sold through more than 4.5 million units worldwide since launch, a 26 percent increase over the same period a year ago (eight weeks in Europe and five weeks in North America).  FIFA 10 also became the fastest-selling sports videogame in the world with 1.7 million units sold through at European retail in its first week after its launch on October 1, and it’s the top selling game overall in Europe in 2009.

FIFA 10 has achieved new franchise records for online play as well, averaging 3 million** games played daily and over 113 million^ total online games played on the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 over the past two months, and will launch FIFA 10 Ultimate Team in the new year.  FIFA 10 Ultimate Team is a deeper, more authentic, more dynamic version of the game mode successfully introduced last year and enables fans to customize the way they build their Ultimate Team.

RUMORS that Gears Of War 3 will be announced at VGA 2010

There are some big time rumors flying around at the moment about Epic Games EPIC third person shooter Gears Of War.

A lot of people are expecting Cliff Bleszinski to come out and drop a bombshell at this years  VGA (Video Game Awards) this weekend (12th December) and give us all what we have been so desparatly waiting for .. Information and some sort of update regarding GEARS OF WAR 3

 Geoff Keighley, video game journalist and host of Spike Tv’s GTTV posted this comment to Cliff via twitter :

“@therealcliffyb You ready for the big show on Saturday night? Can’t wait to see you!”

The comment might mean absolutely nothing, but then if you look deeper into it it could me a whole LOT MORE !!!

Well all we can do is sit and wait  😉

Megaman On the Cover of Nintendo Power !!

Get your weapons ready! The latest issue of Nintendo Power features some mega news — specifically, the upcoming release of Mega Man 10 on WiiWare.

Keiji Inafune (Capcom’s Managing Corporate Officer, Head of Research & Development Management Group and Online Business, Father of Mega Man, Dead Rising and more!) just happened to be in the Capcom US office today as they received the latest issue of Nintendo Power featuring the one and only Mega Man!

The new installment, like the brilliant Mega Man 9, uses an NES-style aesthetic, and features wacky new bosses like Sheep Man. Sheep Man! Proto Man returns as a playable character (this time immediately, and not as time-delayed DLC), along with a third mystery character! The extra character’s identity: just one of the details, like the release date or whether or not it’s on other platforms, that we’re just going to have to wait to find out.

There will also be a much NEEDED Easy Mode for the game, which we can imagine being welcome for a lot of people not accustomed to the uniquely painful experience of trying to complete an NES Mega Man title.

Twitter, Facebook and Last.FM updates for those <18

A few moments ago we’ve released an update to the Twitter, Facebook and Last.FM applications on Xbox LIVE for all Xbox LIVE countries except for the US.  With this update, as promised, if you have a child account and you get parental approval, you’ll be able to have access to these applications. At this point, all Non-US Accounts should have access to them at this time. If you have a child account in the U.S., you will receive this update on December 15th, when these applications will appear in your Xbox 360 dashboard. Be sure to set Automatically log in or Remember me when setting up the application for the first time, otherwise you will be prompted for parental permission every time you launch the application.
