On September the 10th, Resident Evil: Afterlife hits the cinemas! I hope everyone is ready for this wicked looking movie, because I sure am.
Here is a trailer, which looks amazing. And in 3-D, this movie will blow us all away!

With a amazing debut, and showing the high support from PC players, Blizzard announced that StarCraft II: Wings of Liberty achieved a day-one sales milestone of more than 1 million copies sold worldwide, making it the best-selling PC game of 2010 within its first 24 hours of availability. The game went on to sell a total of more than 1.5 million copies in its first 48 hours, setting the record for fastest-selling strategy game of all time.
StarCraft II: Wings of Liberty saw a simultaneous release in North America, Europe, South Korea, Australia, New Zealand, Russia, Brazil, Chile, Argentina, Singapore, Indonesia, Malaysia, Thailand, the Philippines, and the regions of Taiwan, Hong Kong, and Macau on July 27. More than 8,000 stores throughout the world opened their doors at midnight to celebrate the release, and Blizzard Entertainment developers were present at several locations to commemorate the event with players and sign copies of the game.
“We launched StarCraft II in 11 different languages and on 5 different continents because we wanted to make sure as many players as possible were able to log on and play on day one. We’re pleased that so many people around the world have already picked up a copy of the game, and we look forward to welcoming even more players to Battle.net in the weeks and months ahead.” -Mike Morhaime, CEO and cofounder of Blizzard Entertainment
“GameStop had more than 3,000 stores open at midnight, so our StarCraft players got a jump start on playing the epic experience Blizzard consistently delivers with its games. StarCraft II: Wings of Liberty is officially GameStop’s fastest-selling PC game since Blizzard launched World of Warcraft®: Wrath of the Lich King in 2008.” Bob McKenzie, senior vice president of merchandising at GameStop
StarCraft II: Wings of Liberty is the sequel to Blizzard Entertainment’s 1998 hit StarCraft, which is considered by players and critics worldwide as one of the top real-time strategy games of all time.
Sad moment in gaming world…or maybe anger?
Anyway, put your rage masks on, because we just got word out of EA’s financial conference call that the most anticipated game of the year, Crysis 2, will be delayed until January – April 2011.
No clear reason has been given, but most probably, the pro team at Crytek needs more dev time to polish the game. Too bad, i was looking forward to shooting aliens in NY this Christmas…=(
It’s official, EA confirmed Need for Speed: Shift 2 as being the next installment in the NFS Series (except Hot Pursuit of course, which is being developed by Criterion).
The game is expected to hit shelves January-March 2011 on all major platforms, and wants to be more of a simulator than the last NFS Shift. Let’s not forget that Shift wanted to be a racing sim & arcade at the same time, and -though many of you will disagree-, it didn’t excel in neither of the categories.
So there you have it…ANOTHER Need for Speed game, even though EA promised just 1 per year…let’s hope they won’t let us down. More details coming soon…
Namco Bandai’s Active Life explorer has a few more gameplay movies out now that assure us of all the different activities we can take part in in their upcoming Wii game. You can play with just the Wiimote or even use the Active Life mat that will be able to be purchased alongside the game itself in a bundle.
What is Active Life Explorer though? Well it contains dozens of different action packed adventures that will be able to allow you and seven of your friends to play with one another, or against one another. You can select from a large selection of in game characters or even use your own Mii if you happen to be very attached to it.
The three game modes that are highlighted are the Party mode, which allows up to eight players to perform various mini game actions and survive the party. While the Treasure Adventure Mode will give four players an adventure of alifetime as they uncover the world map and survive dozens of different exciting missions. There is even a Free play mode where you can access your favorite challenges. This is far more than your average mini game collection!
There is some trouble afoot in EA Sports’ world, and it might hurt their pocket book extremely badly if it happens to go through. It just so happens that 6,000 different retired NFL players are suing the company for using their likenesses in Madden NFL 09. The head player at the helm of the lawsuit is ex-running back Tony Davis, who played for the Bengals and then the Buccaneers.
The lawsuit, which can be seen here courtesy of IGN; states that Madden willingly and intentionally used retired players’ likenesses in 09. The players would have their names removed from the jerseys and their original numbers changed, however there would be true to life NFL stats the players managed to achieve during their career. They also stated that the game was specifically designed so video game players will be able to tell exactly who they are playing as, regardless of the number change.

We all knew that it would be inevitable. The Wii has at least a hundred different type of peripheral items that you can attach to the Wiimote. And everyone has mentioned at least some similarities between the Move and the Wii, and it is only getting worse now.
Gizmodo has caught wind of these new boxing gloves from CTA Digital which are designed to keep your television safe from a flying Move controller when your throwing lefts and rights. There is velcro attatched to the inside of the glove where you can wrap it around the Move controller to prevent a TV smashing punch from happening. There is also velcro adjustable wrist straps to make sure that the gloves themselves won’t just fly off and negate the whole reason you bought the thing in the first place.
Is it just me or do these look a bit like UFC fighting gloves? They even appear to be padded so if you do happen to hit something with them it wouldn’t hurt as much as punching with your bare hand, though it would be highly not recommended. There is no price tag to go along with these gloves, but expect to see at the least a $20 or higher cost when these arrive on shelves.

Rockstar has released a bit of information concerning their upcoming “Legends and Killers” DLC for Red Dead Redemption. The info is the most important of all, considering it puts a finalized price tag and a date for when we can place it right into our multiplayer and experience brand new maps and a weapon. It will be riding into both consoles on August 10th and the price will run 800 MS points on the 360, and $9.99 for the PS3 in American. Sorta wonder if there will ever be a price fluctuation between the two.
By downloading this pack you will be given nine new different multiplayer maps to play the game modes on when you aren’t free roaming, and a Tomahawk that can be thrown viciously. There will additionally be eight new different characters you can choose from. Then you have your obligatory Achievement and Trophy addition which have yet to be detailed.
If you happen to take a stop buy the Fortune City visitor’s website you can take a sneak peak into the world of Dead Rising 2. Or at least the map world of what you will be experiencing. There is a lot of extra information to be had on the website but personally I loved the fact they gave us the map to see already. The map above is just a small version, while the actual website has the large copy of the map in full detail. All this information constantly coming out for Capcom’s Dead Rising 2 is definitely keeping me hyped for this great zombie killing sequel.
