There are 19 different levels to be explored and fought through including many different bosses to face down and levels to ride Noot, an alien mount. The game itself is coming out tomorrow but you have a bit of time left to pre-order right now, or even to purchase the game just after release itself.

Fable 3 awakens the interior decorator in us all

Now when you think about Fable, you think about good and evil, an enormous fantasy world, swords, magic, dogs…. But what about the houses? If you were like me, you had to look for getting certain achievements in Fable 2 which involved making various real estate purchases and taking care of your property and modifying it even to make your tenants happy. However there wasn’t a whole lot of customization to be had in that mode was there?

Well Lionhead has just given us a new video that shows the new house customization system which will allow you to create the house of your dreams, or the house of your nightmares if you so wish. Quite literally everything inside the house is available for customization, and can be moved around and placed wherever you want them to be. While some players may not find this as a major addition, it will be great news to those who enjoyed the house system in Fable 2 and were hoping to see it expanded upon.

Pokémon Black & White sells 2.6 million copies in 48 hours

As some people get older their interests start to wane when it comes to games that they used to play, but there is one thing that it seems will never pass out of popularity, and that thing is Pokémon. The game had barely been on shelves for two days and it has already doubled the amount of sales from the previous iteration of the Pokémon series being Heart Gold/Silver. Heart Gold/Silver only were able to sell 1.4 million units in the first 48 hours.

One thing that should be recognized though, is that Black & White are far more different than any other Pokémon sequel since Red and Blue were released. There are new characters, a completely different world, an entirely different roster of Pokémon, (with old Pokémon only showing up after game completion), and much more additions to the fundamental Pokémon formula.

Unfortunately those of us outside of Japan will have to wait until Spring 2011 to see all of these new features in our own hands.

Purchase Deathspank: Thongs of Virtue and get free DLC within a week of launch

We’ve said before that it is amazing to see the sequel to DeathSpank already arriving quite early after the release of the first game, but now EA has even more good news for us. They have announced that those who purchase the sequel within a week of the launch date, meaning September 20th-27th for the PS3 and the 22nd-28th on the Xbox 360, will receive two additional bits of DLC for free.

This is good news for everyone that has been anticipating the game, considering one bit of the DLC is an additional dungeon to explore, and the other is another co-op character. If you happen to be a bit late with your purchase however you can still get this DLC, though you will have to pay for it. The “Snowy Mountain Dungeon” will cost $3 or 240 MSP, and the co-op character “Sidekick Tankko” will be only $1 or 80 MSP. Bear in mind though that players of the previous Deathspank game will not have their equipment or level carried over, but we can think of this opening week DLC as a bit of make up for that fact.

ESRB rating gives a preview of Dead Rising 2 characters

Games in the US always have to go through the ESRB to receive any sort of chance for release but these ratings usually are very cut and dry and can easily go unnoticed as the hype for large games who really cares about the ratings board at this point right? Well occasionally they can give us a bit of a laugh and even a preview as to what type of characters we may stumble across and the different zombies we will be fighting.

Below is the detailed rating given by the ESRB for Dead Rising 2:

This is an action-horror game in which players assume the role of Chuck Greene, an unwitting contestant on a “kill-or-be-killed” zombie game show. Players can use guns, swords, chainsaws, or flamethrowers to kill the myriad zombies and scattered humans. Large sprays of blood frequently occur and zombies frequently get dismembered and decapitated; for example, players are able to ride a motorcycle through mobs of zombies, sawing off multiple body parts. Cutscenes include the following depictions: zombies that rip chunks of flesh off humans; a man whose blood is churned out of him by an impaled spinning blade; and a man who drills a chainsaw into a priest’s chest. Some female characters are dressed in revealing outfits (e.g., skin-tight leather, lingerie, showgirl costumes), and players can enter a “Peep Show” or receive a “Peeping Tom” bonus. Some missions involve making, serving, and drinking alcoholic beverages (e.g., wine, vodka, and whiskey); if players drink too much alcohol, their movements may become erratic and they may vomit. The dialogue includes language such as “sh*t” and “b*tch.”

Sure sounds like a good time, and considering there will be no photography this time around, it will be interesting to see what that Peeping Tom bonus is all about, but then again we have priests getting chainsaw’d and a man being impaled on a spinning blade, so looks like everyone will be in for a good time later this month on September 28th when the game is slated for release.
