New Trailer for Kirby’s Epic Yarn Shows Off New Features & Returning Characters…

As a huge Kirby fan I have been following Kirby’s Epic Yarn very closely. The game is looking great so far and a new overview trailer is now online. The trailer is in Japanese, but that doesn’t mean you can’t easily spot some new interesting features in the game as well as some old foes that will be making a comeback in Kirby’s latest adventure.

One of the features in this trailer seems to be a mode which lets you decorate Kirby’s house with special unlockable items obtained in the main game. I am not sure how exactly this will play out but this feature alone could add a bit more depth to the overall game. When I seen some of the familiar faces of the series though is when I got even more nostalgic as it is now confirmed that Kracko, Whispy Woods (who was already featured in other trailers), and DeDeDe will all be featured as cloth/yarn enemies in the title.

Check out the full 3+ minute trailer below and we will keep you updated with even more information about Kirby’s Epic Yarn as we get closer to the Oct. 17th release date.

Dragon Ball Z: Tenkaichi Tag Team’s Demo Available Now on the PSN!

As a fan of the Dragonball series and a huge fan of the Tenkaichi titles that were released, Namco-Bandai’s latest PSP entry Dragon Ball Z: Tenkaichi Tag Team is definitely on my radar. Here is a snippet of the press release to fill you in on some of the features and modes included in the title:

For the first time ever Dragon Ball Z fans can enter into high-impact two vs. two combat in Dragon Ball Z: Tenkaichi Tag Team for the PSP system. Play solo or team up via Ad Hoc mode to tackle memorable battles in a variety of single player and multiplayer modes, including Dragon Walker, Battle 100, and Survival Mode. Dragon Walker Mode takes fans through the entire epic Dragon Ball Z story arc from the Saiyan saga to the Majin Buu saga. Battle 100 Mode tasks players to relive the most epic encounters and newly created situations from the Dragon Ball Z world in ever increasingly difficult situations. With more than 70 playable and deeply customizable characters, multiple modes, and Ad Hoc Party gameplay, Dragon Ball Z: Tenkaichi Tag Team is chock full of gameplay for your portable PSP system

The demo is now available for download via the PSN and features two selectable stages and six featured characters, including Goku, Vegeta, Picollo, Krillin, Android 19, and Dr. Gero. With all the content in the demo alone should hold over any DBZ fan until the October 19th release of Dragon Ball Z: Tenkaichi Tag Team.

Resistance 3 screenshots possibly leaked by accident

Looks like there may have been a little miscommunication within Insomniac or within Sony because there has been a leak of various artworks and screenshots from an account on Flickr which have been linked to Resistance 3 and is a sneak peak into the game itself. The Flickr user “1337guyzorz2” was the account in which each of the screenshots was located at, but mysteriously now the account is no longer active and said screenshots have been removed from Flickr entirely. Lucky for you though we have them.

We see what appears to be a new protagonist, where the screens are naming him Capelli; otherwise known as Joseph Evan Capelli from the squad in Resistance 2. Plus there may even be the inclusion of Susan Farley, the pseudo-sister of Nathan Hale from Resistance 2. These two characters appear to be possible playable characters; but there has been no official word from Insomniac or Sony, and with the shut down of the Flickr account there is more to this story than meets the eye.

The guys at Microsoft are extremely excited about the release of Comic Jumper, but Twisted Pixel is even more excited(by 100x) because it is there game after all. They have set up a twitter feed for many of the characters. You can check it out here: http://twitter.com/mrwilford/comic-jumper-characters. It is awesome to read the characters interacting with each other and many of them are really funny.

Undead Nightmare pack teased for Red Dead Redemption

With a name of Red Dead Redemption, you know it was only a matter of time until that middle word makes a change. With the teasing of this new DLC pack, the game should be called Red Undead Redemption…. Not quite the same ring to it though huh?

Well as it turns out the poster above is for the Undead Nightmare DLC pack which will be receiving a full showcase of media tomorrow but is getting a small taste today. Rockstar themselves have said that the zombie there above is John Marston; so it’s curious to see if our favorite hero will rise from the grave to take his revenge upon the living, or if he has just risen to put even more undead to rest once again.

There is no set date for this DLC, but as one may expect with zombies and the undead, it has been hinted to be released the same week of Halloween for both the PS3 and 360. We’ll have more tomorrow as more media is released by Rockstar.

Castlevania: Lords of shadow trailer released; get comfortable

If you want an in-depth look into Castlevania: Lords of Shadow you can sit down and get nice and comfy because we have an 11 minute trailer right here for the game. Inside of the trailer we will see many new things that have been changed for this game, and also spoils very large parts so if you are worried about spoiling parts of the plot for yourself then watch at your own caution.

With the game hitting shelves next week on October 5th, Konami isn’t sparing any punches and even has Jason Isaacs narrating the video for us. So if you get a feeling that he sounds familiar, his most famous role is Lucius Malfoy from the Harry Potter movies.

Monster Hunter Tri – bundle restock

For those of you who haven’t been witness to the greatness that is the Monster Hunter franchise or simply haven’t been able to get your hands on the game yet, Capcom has announced that the bundle, a copy of Monster Hunter Tri with a classic controller pro (by far the best way to play this game, as it has pretty sophisticated controls) is back in stock.  Not only that, but with a cheaper price tag of only $50, or even $40 at Amazon!  For those astute bargain hunters out there, a classic controller pro goes for $20, the game can run from $30 to $50, that’s quite the savings.

This bundle should be back in stock right now at Gamestop, Amazon and Best Buy.  If you missed the opportunity to get this thrifty bundle (which almost immediately sold out during release), now’s your chance to get it again.  If you already have the game, try convincing a friend to pick it up, it’s no secret that Monster Hunter is best played with a friend.

Impressive Star Trek Model in Minecraft

Minecraft. Have you heard of it? If you have, it’s probably been from some blog post showing off some crazy structure someone built in the game. This time, the structure is jaw-dropping. I don’t want to ruin the surprise so I’ll let the video speak for itself.

Share your happiest memories and they could be in Child of Eden’s ending

What if you could have your face in a video game? But there is a catch, you have to be happy in your picture but that isn’t too hard now is it? Because the developer of the railshooter Child of Eden has announced a new project called “The Journey Project.” Ubisoft and Q? have created a system whereas people can submit pictures of themselves with “positive emotions.”

You may submit any photos you want at their website here; but bear in mind only pictures that are approved will be able to end up inside of the game’s ending. The submissions will close on November 20th. The creator director of Child of Eden has made this statement about the Journey Project.

“The theme of Child of Eden is ‘Hope and Happiness’ and I want players to experience happy feelings every time they play the game,” said Mizuguchi, creative director of Child of Eden. “I need your help to convey these positive emotions, so please send us pictures that give you good vibes so we can include them in the ending of the game.”

What is Child of Eden though? It is a railshooter that is being developed by Q? and Ubisoft and will place players into the battle to save Project Lumi which will create a human personality inside of Eden which is the archive of every memory of mankind. While the project was nearly completed it has come under attack from an unknown virus and it is your mission to save Eden. The game has been described as a multi-sensory shooter and will place the player into a world of music and beautiful visuals as you do your best to save Eden. There has yet to be any release date announced for this game however, and we only have the hint that it will be early 2011.
