RF ONLINE NEXT EXPANDS WITH CHAPTER 10, NEW GAMEPLAY SYSTEMS AND UPCOMING CORE WORLD

LOS ANGELES – AUGUST 5, 2026 – Netmarble, a leading developer and publisher of high-quality games, announced a major content update for its sci-fi MMORPG RF ONLINE NEXT, introducing Chapter 10, new progression systems, the Legendary MAU Tempest, and limited-time events celebrating the game’s first 50 days of global service. An upcoming update will also introduce Core World, the new large-scale PvPvE mode.

The current update introduces Chapter 10, expanding the story into the frozen region of Severia. Players can explore new locations including Severin Research Base, Nable Mining Field, and Pumus Quarantine Zone, while progressing through new Main Quests, Side Quests and Faction Quests. Collection, Exploration Reports and Memory Chip progression have also been expanded. In addition, two new field bosses, MPF-01 Castle and Sarpedon, are now available.

The new Material Conversion system allows players to use four to six unbound equipment items of Rare grade or above for a chance to obtain equipment of higher grades or tiers. Players can also acquire the exclusive Circlet equipment type and special collection items available only through this system, creating additional opportunities for equipment progression and item utilization.

Also arriving in this update is Tempest, a new Legendary MAU specializing in long-range combat. Equipped with powerful area-of-effect attacks, freezing skills and additional damage against frozen enemies, Tempest offers a new strategic option on the battlefield.

An upcoming update will introduce Core World, a new large-scale cross-server PvPvE mode available to players level 60 and above. Held every other week, the mode will match up to 450 players from multiple servers as they compete to defeat the world boss Krator. Before confronting Krator, each team must first defeat the Krator Guardian protecting its starting formation. The server that earns the highest overall contribution across all battlefields will be declared the winner and receive special buffs that provide advantages in both combat and hunting.

To celebrate the update and the game’s first 50 days of global service, Netmarble is hosting a variety of limited-time events for Asia, Europe and the Americas, including special login events for new and returning players, commemorative missions, reward events and “[50-Day Festival] Rakan Pirates’ Revenge,” offering valuable progression rewards throughout the event period.

RF ONLINE NEXT, the official sequel to the globally beloved RF Online, is an epic sci-fi adventure set in a vast and evolving universe where machines replace flesh and blood. Building on its predecessor’s legacy, the game introduces a dynamic Biosuit system for seamless class switching, massive battlefield tools like the MAU and Launcher, powerful summons such as the Animus, and high-flying real-time combat that blends strategic depth with exhilarating action.

More information about the latest update can be found on the official website and community channels.

Cargo, Please! Turns Deliveries Into High-Speed, Cop-Dodging Chaos This August 5

Dodge police fines and manage fragile cargo while building a delivery empire across three cities.

CAIRO, EGYPT — FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE — [August 5th, 2026]

Outrun the cops while your cargo rattles in the back. That is the high-stakes fantasy at the core of Cargo, Please!, an isometric delivery game launching August 5, 2026. Developed by solo indie dev Cyber752 Games, the title challenges players to move fast without losing their cargo, or their nerve, across three open cities.

Every job begins by accepting a shipment, but not every delivery is safe, simple, or legal. Get caught breaking traffic laws and the police will fine you; damage your cargo along the way and you’ll lose money on the delivery itself. Shipments are auto-generated, so no two runs feel the same, and most jobs reward the driver who can find the balance between speed and control, rather than the one who simply floors it.

Players start out on a humble scooter and work their way up through bikes, delivery trucks with open cargo beds, and finally heavy trucks hauling full trailers behind them. Each tier opens up unique deliveries and more profitable jobs, and every vehicle can be customized with new paint and wheels. The tone balances cozy exploration with arcade-style tension. A full day and night cycle paired with dynamic weather adds atmosphere to every drive, changing how each route feels. Between deliveries, Taxi Driver Mode switches things up by angry passengers instead of cargo, with the same risk of fines and damage, but without the narrative and dialogue of a standard delivery run.

Key features include:

  • Auto-Generated Shipments: Every job is procedurally created, with its own cargo type, fragility, and delivery window, so no two runs ever play the same.
  • Risk vs Reward: Reckless driving risks fines and broken cargo, while cautious driving costs you time. Every delivery is a judgment call.
  • Vehicle Progression: Work your way up from scooters to bikes, delivery trucks, and heavy trucks with trailers, each tier unlocking unique deliveries, better pay, and full customization with paint and wheels.
  • Taxi Driver Mode: Angry passengers instead of cargo, with the same risk of fines and damage, but without the narrative and dialogue of a standard delivery run.

Cargo, Please! is available on Steam starting August 5, 2026. The game is $8.99 USD and will have a launch discount of 20% for 14 days. The game is the work of a solo Cairo-based developer handling every part of production: design, code, and audio, start to finish.

DreadXP Unveils VILE: Exhumed Physical Edition in Celebration of Gripping, Story-driven and Banned Horror Game’s First Anniversary, Opens Sign-ups for Limited Edition Sale

Find the secrets and answers behind a mysterious disappearance in this bold, thought-provoking examination of obsession, entitlement and humanity’s darkest capacities

LOS ANGELES (Aug. 5, 2026) – Solo developer Cara Cadaver (Final Girl Games) and publisher DreadXP today proudly reveal a new, limited edition physical release of VILE: Exhumed, the gruesome narrative horror game where you investigate a missing person’s fate by delving into the archives and technological relics of an ancient, ‘90s era desktop computer. Sign up to be notified when VILE: Exhumed’s physical edition is available for order, and file it into your collection for $9.99 USD (plus tax and shipping) before it’s gone forever: https://www.vileisbanned.com

VILE: Exhumed’s physical edition embodies the essence of old school PC technology and retro, early gaming-era underground media, arriving in a classic jewel case complete with visually distressed paper inserts – and of course, a fully-playable copy of VILE: Exhumed on a pristine, physical CD. And that black plastic bag and duct tape wrapping? Exquisite. The whole kit would look right at home next to the beige-white, dial-up powered PCs we used to leave on for days while downloading 5 megabytes of music at a time (legally, of course).

“When VILE: Exhumed was able to finally come out, the support was wonderful,” said Cara Cadaver, founder and solo developer at Final Girl Games. “Seeing the horror community create a home for my work was incredibly special, but it was hard seeing my creative vision, and such a personal story, just become a headline about censorship. Working on the physical edition of VILE: Exhumed allowed me not only to revisit the feelings I had around the wrongful ban of the game last year, but also step back into Candy and Molly’s world, and give them one more moment.”

VILE: Exhumed’s mystery centers on the retirement of adult film actress Candy Corpse, and Candy’s reasoning for leaving the scene is unknown to many – but not to all. Piece together a story of parasociality, entitlement and consequences set within the fledgling stage of digital connectivity, pouring over decades-old digital residue sprawled across notes, photos, videos, emails and dated internet forums. Discover the truth behind Candy’s decision and the repercussions inherent of the digital revolution.

Final Girl Games and DreadXP’s devotion to immortalizing VILE: Exhumed as physical media follows the game’s initial banning from Steam just ahead of its debut last year.

But important art can’t be banned forever: Final Girl Games and DreadXP ultimately released VILE: Exhumed for free, as a donation-optional download in 2025. For fans who choose to donate, 50% of the profits are donated to the Red Door Family Shelter, a charity assisting families, refugees and women escaping violence; 50% of the physical release’s profits will also benefit Red Door Family Shelter. While VILE: Exhumed remains free to download, the new physical edition stands as a defiance of censorship and a vital step in ensuring the game is accessible to horror fans for decades to come. Humanity Created Angels. Now They Return With Something Ominous in Their Wake

Angelic: Dark Symphony Makes Its Debut in a Haunting New Teaser

Led by former Bungie and Crytek developers, Angelicore unveils a cinematic dark science-fiction RPG combining shifting character perspectives, hero-driven turn-based combat, and cosmic tragedy.

FLORIDA, UNITED STATES, August 5, 2026: Independent developer Angelicore Game Studios has unveiled Angelic: Dark Symphony, narrative RPG at the heart of the Angelic universe.

The announcement arrives with a new in-engine teaser introducing the game’s neo-human heroes, cinematic storytelling, tactical combat, and the dark force spreading through humanity’s fractured future.

Humanity created neo-humans. They called them angels. After rebelling against the corporations that controlled them, the angels decisively won the devastating Interhuman Wars and vanished into deep space.

Two centuries later, the angels are returning.

In Angelic: Dark Symphony, players experience a cinematic science-fiction narrative through the shifting perspectives of a diverse ensemble cast. Every hero carries their own motivations, relationships, conflicts, and place within the wider story, while their distinctive powers reshape the game’s turn-based battles.

“Angelic began with a question: what happens if humanity is forced to adapt to space faster than evolution allows?” said Erkan Bayol, Founder and Game Director at Angelicore Game Studios. “Humanity’s answer was to create neo-humans, beings they would eventually call angels. But when the corporations in power recognized that neo-humans were superior to ordinary humans in almost every way, they sought to suppress and exploit them. From that moment, conflict became inevitable.”

“That philosophy also shaped the game itself. Dark Symphony has no single protagonist surrounded by supporting characters. Players experience the story through different heroes as their journeys unfold in parallel, while taking full control of them in turn-based combat. You do not choose a single angel to carry the story. You experience it through all of them.”

The first campaign takes players to Dreadheaven, a deep-space neo-human colony once known as The Heaven. Sent to investigate why the colony suddenly fell silent, the heroes confront catastrophic events that force them to question everything: their own existence, faith, evolution, morality, and reality itself.

Angelic: Dark Symphony is currently in development for PC. Additional platforms are under consideration.

Welcome to Elderfield is a cozy horror RPG where the abnormal is normal, the townsfolk are odd, the eldritch beings watch over you and the local news reports seem stranger by the day.

Cozy distractions from the horrors around you

Everything in Elderfield is unsettling, from the haunting, horror manga-inspired, hand-drawn visuals to the dark, lofi soundscapes composed by Dated. Despite the strange creatures lurking just outside your home, those who wander into Elderfield rarely find a reason… or option, to leave.

Life-sim RPG

Customize your home and character, unravel daily mysteries, befriend the odd townsfolk (or even marry one!), go fishing, spend your afternoons mining and forage through the surrounding wilds… There’s lots to do in Elderfield!

Farming with a twist

Cultivate your land, harvest your crops, and stop the growth of unruly tentacles. Manage a variety of strange, otherworldly livestock, grow useful crops like corn, pumpkins, teeth or eyeballs and hope that beings from the woods don’t wander onto your farm.

In-depth combat and strategy

Choose your difficulty, how much suffering can you endure? For players seeking a peaceful life of harvest and discovery, cozy difficulty offers a more laid-back experience. For those who crave a challenge, the Old Gods are waiting.

Collect Jimothy and other cryptids from around the world in deck-building auto battler Portentum

The Seattle-based sensation joins famous monsters like Mothman, Bigfoot, and the Jersey Devil!

Salt Lake City, USA – August 5th, 2026 – Snowfall Games is thrilled to reveal that everyone’s new favorite real-life cryptid, Jimothy, the deformed raccoon from Seattle, will be joining the cast of their upcoming cryptid deck-building auto-battler Portentum. Coming to Steam later this year, Portentum combines original hand-drawn cryptid artwork with deep deck-building strategy, letting you hunt for broken combos using legendary creatures from around the world, like Bigfoot, Mothman, and the Chupacabra. And now, Jimothy too!

In Portentum, each run begins by building a deck of 30 cryptids and mushrooms. Each cryptid has its own ability: deal damage, heal, summon minions, or manipulate the dice. Abilities trigger on events you can build around, like a roll of the dice, an ally taking damage, or an enemy healing one of its own. Feeding mushrooms to your cryptids amplifies their abilities and stats. There are endless combinations and broken strategies to be discovered.

Once your deck is ready, it’s time to start your run. Draw a hand, spend coins to assemble a warband of five cryptids, and send them into battle. From there, the dice take over: abilities fire, combos chain, and the fight plays out on its own until one warband is left standing. Rework your warband between battles as the run goes on. Win ten battles to take the run. Lose five, and you’re out.

Portentum’s meta is ever-evolving, as every warband you create joins the pool that other players face. As you keep playing and opening card packs, entirely new deck-building possibilities and obscenely killer combos will enter the fray, providing an endless array of strategic possibilities and challenges!

“It was truly an astounding coincidence that we, as humans, discovered a real-life cryptid while we, at Snowfall, were nose deep in development of our own cryptid-based card battler,” said Jaden Holladay, Co-Founder at Snowfall Games. “We were already huge cryptid heads, and our Hunt Bigfoot mod in Fortnite had over 5 million plays, so players kept coming to us asking for more Cryptid games. That, combined with our love of deck-builders, inspired Portentum. When Jimothy was revealed – literally in my neighborhood! – we knew we needed to immortalize him forever by adding him to the Portentum roster.”

Report on a series of eerie events in 1980s narrative newsroom thriller Static Hour

You’re the lone night shift news editor amidst a mysterious lockdown in a small town

Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, August 5th, 2026 – If anyone is still out there, if anyone is listening, you should know that Barkbyte Interactive has revealed its upcoming narrative newsroom thriller Static Hour. Set in a small town in the 1980s, you are the lone newsroom editor working the night shift amidst a series of eerie events and must figure out what’s going on and what’s fit to broadcast.

An outbreak of violence has erupted. Families are turning on each other. People are panicking. The government has issued a lockdown and they’re sending in the troops. What’s going on? The people must know.

It’s the 1980s and your journalistic instincts are reliant upon period-appropriate analogue tech. Scroll through your rolodex, make calls on your rotary phone, listen to emergency alerts, and peruse the police scanner for any info you can find. Leave no stone unturned, even if that means rummaging through your colleagues’ desks to ensure you’re getting the full scoop. The truth is out there.

As the only news editor on duty, you alone must deduce what leads are worth dispatching field reporters to, who to call for more information, and what seems important enough to take up valuable air time. Of course, you must do your best to verify each story and make sure you’re following FCC regulations!

By deciding what information to broadcast, you alone influence how the public responds to this crisis, shaping events throughout the night. With the fate of the town on the line, it’s never been more important to ensure that your reporting is accurate. But only you can decide what the public is ready to hear. Every story you broadcast or leave unaired pushes the town closer to the truth or deeper into the static. The choice is yours alone.

“With Static Hour I wanted to create a retro psychological thriller about isolation and misinformation, where you’re given staggering responsibility and must trust yourself in determining what is accurate,” said Barkbyte Founder and creative director Claire Sarmiento. “I loved the idea of spooky things happening in a small town just out of sight, where the horrors are driven by audio and left to your imagination. Furthermore, I was captivated by the idea that something terrible is happening, but you can’t quite grasp exactly what it is. Having to sort through junk data, red herrings, and scattered facts to decipher truth from preemptive speculation seemed like a flavor of horror that remains as relevant today as ever.”

Features:

  • Investigate Through Audio: Uncover a mystery almost entirely through audio sources such as calls, reports, and scanner signals.
  • Information Shapes Reality: What you choose to broadcast influences how the town reacts.
  • Tension Through Uncertainty: Evaluate conflicting and incomplete information as you decide what to disseminate to the public.
  • Manage the Public’s Fear and Trust: Provide accurate, verified reporting and the township will have faith in your messaging. Report alarming or uncertain information and they may panic.
  • Immerse Yourself in 1980s Analogue Tech: Utilize reporting tools such as CRT monitors, rolodex, rotary phones, radio scanners.
  • A Mystery Contained Within the Newsroom: Discover the outside world entirely through incoming reports, never stepping foot outside of the radio station.
