The ‘Snowguelike Frogventure’ Is Born: Froggy Hates Snow Out Now on PC & Consoles

Survival meets roguelite strategy in a cozy-weird frozen world build around innovative snow-digging mechanic

DENVER, CO, USA – May 7, 2026 – Rising indie publisher Digital Bandidos and one-man studio Crying Brick have today launched Froggy Hates Snow: the developer’s debut title for PC, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S and Nintendo Switch.

Buy the game today for $14.99 / £12.79 / €14.79 on Steam, PlayStation Store, Xbox Store and Nintendo eShop. Steam users can purchase the game at a 10% launch discount for the next seven days.

Froggy Hates Snow introduces a new twist on the genre with its signature snow‑digging system, letting players carve paths, uncover treasure, and reshape the frozen world around them. As temperatures drop and shadowy monsters close in, every decision becomes a balance of risk and reward: push deeper into the tundra for upgrades, or retreat to the safety of your heat bubble before the cold (or worse) claims you.

Each run is different as you hone your favorite playstyle. Play as one of 10 coat-wearing frogs, choose from over 60 upgrades, skills, and tools as you level up, and recruit adorable companions to aid you. Plus, the optional monster-free Peaceful Mode allows you to explore and experiment with the game’s systems at your own pace.

Will you defeat the boss that lurks at the end of each map? Will you find the escape door and enough keys to secure your treasures before the beast arrives? Or will you freeze to death trying?

Key features in Froggy Hates Snow include:

  • Unique Snow-Digging Mechanic: Carve paths through the frozen world, uncover treasure, and turn the terrain itself into part of your strategy
  • Ten Loveable Frogs – Each playable character offers unique abilities and quirks
  • Choose Your Path To Victory  – Find the escape door, or survive ten waves of enemies and defeat the boss
  • Deep Player Progression – Flexible upgrades, unlockables, and run-defining choices support a wide range of playstyles
  • Tools of the Tundra – Expansive arsenal includes snowblowers, dynamite, cluster bombs, flamethrowers, and more
  • Recruit helpful companions – Penguins, owls, moles, and robots help find and gather resources, ensuring you’re not alone in the frozen wilderness
  • Peaceful Mode – Turn off enemy encounters for a more relaxed experience centered on digging, discovery, and exploration
  • Highly Replayable Runs – New treasures, dangers, upgrades, and routes help make every attempt feel fresh

GAME ANNOUNCEMENT: INTRODUCING DUPERY, A SOCIAL DEDUCTION ROGUELIKE

Solve procedurally-generated cases, uncover lies and bring down the syndicate leaders in this brilliant but deceitful detective game.

May 7th 2026, Bristol, UK | Yogscast Games and Gilded Rune Games have today announced Dupery – a single-player investigation roguelite which takes the thrill of social deduction games into a tightly designed puzzle of lies, contradictions and deceit for solo players.

A terrible syndicate has infiltrated society, so players explore cases, listen to what the citizens have to say and use that information to root out the wrong ‘uns. Over the course of their investigations, detectives must gather clues, question suspects and piece together conflicting information to identify hidden roles within a criminal syndicate.

The problem? Not everything revealed is true.

Each run is made up of procedurally-generated cases, spread across multiple regions, each with its own mechanics, rules, and quirks. Through Colombo-like deduction, players must build an understanding of how different roles behave, learning to spot inconsistencies, rule out impossibilities and slowly untangle what’s really going on.

Runs culminate in a final deduction challenge, where players must correctly identify and eliminate the syndicate leader based on everything they’ve learned. Every mistake along the way carries consequences, meaning progress is always balanced against risk.

“I only got five GSCEs,” says Simon Byron, Managing Director, Yogscast Games, “but there have been runs in Dupery which have made me feel like the cleverest man on the planet. It’s a brilliant twist on social deduction without the need to organise groups of players, yet a game which feels perfect for both playing solo or collaboratively in groups.”

Developed by Bristol-based team Gilded Rune Games, Dupery has already seen strong early engagement, with thousands of demo players and extremely positive feedback highlighting its depth, replayability and satisfying deduction systems.

“We’ve loved getting Dupery to where it is,” adds Matthew Brebner, Developer at Gilded Rune Games. “It really makes you feel like a true detective, without having to do all the paperwork, of course, and we’re excited to be working with Yogscast Games to bring it to a huge global audience. ”

Dupery is set to launch on PC later this year, with a playable demo available now on Steam

About Yogscast Games

Yogscast Games was established in 2017, with a simple goal: to work with independent teams to develop and publish games that are as fun to watch as they are to play. Responsible for a string of hits such as PlateUp!, which has sold over two million copies on Steam, and Dungeons & Degenerate Gamblers, which grossed over $1m in its first month on sale, it prides itself in working with tiny teams doing brilliant things.

About Gilded Rune Games

Gilded Rune Games is a Bristol based video game company. Having met several years prior during university, the 3 wannabe game developers Matt, Luke, and Lydia were brought together by their shared love of games, especially TTRPG’s. Nothing tests cooperative problem solving skills quite like imminent fictional death after all. After their studies, the trio formed the company launched by a strong desire to not only create games, but bring their own ideas to life.

Since their formation in 2022, Gilded Rune Games has released four games on Steam, exploring a myriad of genres with each release. Their upcoming game, Dupery, revolves around the deep mechanics and silly story elements that brought them together in the first place, which they hope you enjoy!

GAME ANNOUNCEMENT: INTRODUCING GLORY ON PLUTO, A FAST, CHAOTIC ENGINE-BUILDING ROGUELITE

Build the perfect rocket engine… then watch it spin wildly out of control

BRISTOL, UK, 07 MAY 2026 | Solo developer LittleBigEars Games and roguelite obsessives Yogscast Games have today announced Glory On Pluto, a fast, addictive strategy game about building a rocket engine that absolutely refuses to behave.

Set on a journey to reach the galaxy’s most famous dwarf planet, Glory On Pluto challenges players to construct and optimise a circular engine made up of fuels, crew and modifiers, all working together (or not) to propel their ship forward as far – and as chaotically – as possible.

At the heart of the game is its rotating engine system. Players carefully place items to create powerful synergies. However, the entire engine board shifts after each boost, forcing pilots to rethink, adapt, and occasionally panic. What starts as a neat, well-planned build can quickly spiral into something far more unpredictable – sometimes brilliant, often disastrous, always fun.

As runs progress, players unlock new crew members, fuel types and interactions, creating increasingly complex engines capable of delivering huge bursts of power. The result is a steady escalation from modest beginnings to full-blown, screen-filling chaos, where everything clicks into place… or spectacularly doesn’t.

It’s a game where chaos and unpredictability thrive, rewarding maverick decision-making where you can build engines that work, even when they really shouldn’t. As the creaking spacecraft struggles to retain its integrity under the increasing pressure of each run, the screen fills with all manner of wonderful visual effects designed to tickle the player’s brain in all the right ways.

This visual flair is no coincidence – Glory On Pluto is the debut game from Bristol-based solo developer Tom Stockley, who transitioned from a career in motion design and animation to game development. Seduced by the heavy-hitters in the roguelite genre, Tom decided to start coding his own – and the result is a wonderful attack on the senses with a stunning retro-futuristic design aesthetic.

“Glory On Pluto is one of those dangerous games where you think you’ve built something clever, only for it to spiral into chaos,” says Simon Byron, Managing Director, Yogscast Games, “and somehow that’s when it’s at its best. The game has come on in leaps and bounds since we first met Tom almost a year ago – and the team here have become so enraptured that we had to sign it.”

“There have been so many incredible roguelikes in the recent past, and most of them use real world analogies as a jumping off point,” adds Tom Stockley, developer of Glory On Pluto. “I wanted to push away from established tropes in the genre, and find a core loop that feels different from anything else you’ve played. I’m delighted Yogscast Games spotted the potential and share my vision – I think we’ll make a brilliant team.”

Glory On Pluto has already attracted attention following its appearance in Tiny Teams and a well-received playable demo, with players praising its unique take on engine-building roguelites and its deeply satisfying gameplay loop.

Glory On Pluto is set to launch later this year on PC, with a demo currently available on Steam.

About LittleBigEars Games

Littlebigears is secretly a guy called Tom from Bristol, UK. After over a decade as a freelance motion designer, he wanted to combine his passions for design and coding with his love of gaming.

Most importantly, he wanted to move away from the cynical advertising world, and focus on creating projects that would have no ulterior motive aside from creating joy in those who use them. His first project, Glory On Pluto, has been a vessel into which he’s funnelling everything he loves about the roguelike genre, while trying to move away from the idea of non-violent roguelikes being tied directly to real world analogues.

Blue Ridge Hunting Relaunches Kickstarter Campaign, Inviting Players to Hunt Appalachian Cryptids

Investigate, document, and survive real-world-inspired legends in a co-op horror experience rooted in Appalachian folklore

May 7th, 2026 – Ever feel like something’s watching you from beyond the treeline? You might be right. Six One Publishing and developer Jade Meadows have officially relaunched the Kickstarter campaign for Blue Ridge Hunting, the online co-op horror adventure in which players investigate, document, and hunt cryptids across the Appalachian Mountains.

Set in a region steeped in real-world sightings, folklore, and unexplained phenomena, Blue Ridge Hunting puts players in the boots of the Appalachian Investigation Group as they track down creatures lurking deep within the wilderness. Using a range of tools and equipment, investigators gather evidence, document encounters, and attempt to survive each expedition. But the woods are alive—creatures react to proximity voice chat, and radio communication, turning every conversation into a potential risk.

The relaunched Kickstarter campaign offers a closer look at the game’s core systems and long-term vision, with weekly reveals introducing new cryptids and map locations inspired by real Appalachian sightings. At full release, Blue Ridge Hunting will also feature a narrative-driven story mode following Levi Chambers, a West Virginia native haunted by lifelong encounters with the Mothman, alongside a freeplay co-op mode for players looking to explore the unknown together. To give players a taste of narrative and gameplay, a brand new demo also launched today on Steam.

Field Notes:

  • Found Footage: A gritty retro/PSX art style inspired by early 3D horror and analog media
  • Always Listening: Creatures react to proximity voice chat and radio chatter—communication is crucial, but dangerous
  • Into the Woods, Solo or Together: Explore Appalachia alone or with up to 5 players in online co-op freeplay
  • Bump In The Night: A narrative-driven story (1–3 players) following the Appalachian Investigation Group’s hunt for the truth
  • Experience The Legends: Encounter unique, intelligent creatures based on real Appalachian folklore and sightings
  • Dark-Bluegrass Symphony: An original score blending haunting melodies with Appalachian roots

Blue Ridge Hunting is currently in development for PC. Prospective investigators can wishlist the game on Steam and support the Kickstarter campaign now to help bring Appalachian cryptid hunting to life.

BROKENLORE: DON’T LIE Releases New Demo Ahead of Steam Next Fest

Japanese psychological horror about isolation and slipping reality is ready to disturb players

Watford, United Kingdom, 7 May 2026 – Ahead of June’s Steam Next Fest, horror specialists Wired Productions and Japanese developer Serafini Productions have released a brand-new demo for BrokenLore: DON’T LIE, available today on Steam.

As her mental state deteriorates, the world around her begins to shift into spaces shaped by memory and emotion, where past experiences resurface and refuse to stay buried.

The brand new demo is available now on Steam as part of the lead-up to Steam Next Fest

BAFTA WINNER CISSY JONES AND THE GAME AWARDS WINNER MAGGIE ROBERTSON LEAD THE CAST OF REMOTHERED: RED NUN’S LEGACY

Catania, 7th May 2026 – Stormind Games announces that Cissy Jones and Maggie Robertson will voice the main characters of Remothered: Red Nun’s Legacy. Following the collaboration with Akira Yamaoka, legendary composer of the Silent Hill series, the project continues to expand its roster of high-profile collaborations.

Cissy Jones will portray Susan, the game’s protagonist, bringing her acclaimed emotional depth and range to a complex and central role. BAFTA Games Award for Performer winner, Jones is known for standout performances in titles such as Firewatch, Life is Strange, and The Walking Dead, establishing her as one of the most respected voices in the industry.

“Susan is a character who exists between ‘strong female character’ and ‘damsel in distress.’ She’s learning what her strength looks like and how far she will go to protect the people she loves. The thing that’s been really fascinating about this whole process is how intense the script is. I don’t know what they’re drinking over at Stormind Games, but they really put her through some stuff.” said Cissy Jones.

Maggie Robertson will voice the Red Nun, a mysterious and unsettling figure at the core of the game’s identity. Winner at The Game Awards for her iconic portrayal of Lady Dimitrescu in Resident Evil Village, Robertson is the voice behind one of the most iconic villains in modern horror, bringing a powerful and instantly recognizable presence to Remothered.

“It was an absolute pleasure working with Stormind Games. They were very collaborative and open to exploring the character together, which allowed us to really shape the Red Nun across different moments of her life. She is very interesting, and we get to learn a lot more about her backstory in this game. Her story is rooted in intense trauma, and understanding her ‘why’ is what makes her compelling,” said Maggie Robertson.

With this cast, Stormind Games further strengthens the game’s narrative and cinematic identity, placing performance at the center of an experience built on psychological tension, mystery, and unease.

The announcement video with the actresses’ interviews is online:

Additional updates will follow in the coming weeks.

The game is scheduled for release by the end of 2026 on PlayStation 5, Nintendo Switch 2, PC, and Xbox Series X/S, including physical editions for Nintendo Switch 2 and PlayStation 5.

Surreal bodycam psychological horror game Dreamcore releases final episode – Dead Mall – on May 21st

Fifth chapter concludes liminal labyrinth

Buenos Aires, Argentina, May 7th, 2026 – Indie developer Montraluz, in partnership with publisher Tlön Industries, are proud to announce that the fifth and final episode of their cult favorite surreal body-cam psychological horror game Dreamcore will arrive on May 21st for all platforms. Entitled Dead Mall, this concluding episode takes players through an abandoned 1980s inspired shopping center.

Dead Mall lets players loose on a nightmarish plaza with all the staples of childhood shopping, but contorted into an uncanny ordeal. Delve into its subliminal arcade, parking lot, food court, and bevy of isolated shops. You can take your first glimpse of Dead Mall in its trailer below:

Since Dead Mall adds significantly more content to the game, the cost of Dreamcore will rise from $14.99 to $17.99. However, anyone who buys Dreamcore before May 21st will receive Dead Mall at no additional cost!

Since Dreamcore initially launched last January it has released two other expansions, The Playrooms and Liminal Hotel. In the year plus since its original launch, Dreamcore has amassed a 4.8/5 average review score from Xbox players and a “Very Positive” average Steam user rating across over 1,400 reviews.

Dead Mall, like other chapters of Dreamcore, takes something seemingly familiar and mundane and twists it into an unrecognizably ‘other’ vision,” said Valentín Iribarren, Game Creator at Montraluz. “We always promised five chapters for Dreamcore, and knew that some players were waiting for the whole game to be finished before jumping in, so we’re happy to say we can finally deliver on that promise on May 21st. We’ve been really moved by the reception to Dreamcore since its initial launch, and that’s inspired us to want to make the best concluding episodes possible.”

More about Dreamcore:
Dreamcore sets players loose to explore a multitude of extraordinary, expansive worlds based around labyrinths of liminal spaces. Loosely inspired by the “backrooms” memes, Dreamcore offers a one-of-a-kind experience to probe these nonlinear realms, with each world featuring a unique puzzle players must solve in order to locate its exit.

Developed in Unreal Engine 5, each of Dreamcore’s worlds offers a hazy, twisted memory of the 1980s, complete with the grainy aesthetic of found footage VHS tapes. Navigate intricately linked structures and captivating landscapes, where every environment encourages unparalleled adventures and exploration. Each map presents a vast range of possibilities, delivering entirely distinct experiences.

About Montraluz:

About IODINE

IODINE is a bizarre creature from Ireland, a country famously obsessed with death, mythology and what other people think about you. Primarily a musician, they got into developing games as a vessel to carry their music. But then the vessel grew legs, and eyes, and a conscience, and we had to do something about it. Their games aim to bridge the gap between the incomprehensible and the understood, finding the minutiae between the gaps that make us all distinctly human and bringing them to the forefront via colourful, emotionally complicated finger puppets. Please alert us without delay if IODINE ever breaches containment.
