Troy Baker to voice Vincent in U.S. Catherine release

Looks like there will be a complete English dubbing for Catherine when it is released in the U.S. This news comes with the information that Siliconera was able to obtain that states Troy Baker will be handling the voice work for the main character Vincent. Anyone who has played Final Fantasy XIII will recognize him as the voice of Snow and Yuri from Tales of Vesperia.

This is major news because the entirety of the game is fully voiced, whether it be minor dialogue or story changing events. The inclusion of good voice actors is a must when there is so much focus on the spoken word. Now that we have at least one voice actor down, we are left to guess as to who will play the source of Vincent’s problems, the blond girl you see above.

PSP Go price drop to $150 imminent

1

Well it seems like Sony themselves want to have first dibs when it comes to selling off their PSP Gos. I say this because they have updated their PSP website with the following info: Now you can enjoy the sleek, totally-digital PSP Go system for $149.99 MSRP and the unsurpassed PSP-3000 system for $129.99 MSRP.” We previously knew about the price drop in the PSP 3000 but it is brand new news that the PSP Go is getting a price drop, even though it was most likely an inevitability.

This is apparently news to all of the retailers who sell the PSP Go because they all currently have the handheld listed at $200 which is the standard price now. Don’t run to the stores quite yet because even though Sony themselves have said the price has dropped it currently isn’t being recognized yet.

Heavy Fire: Black Arms Gets Dated & Priced for the WiiWare…

The guys over at Teyon are at it again and are now ready to launch the follow-up to Heavy Fire: Special Ops, Heavy Fire: Black Arms. Black arms looks to play more of the same and will take place deep in the South American jungle, where you are trying to stop an illegal arms trade. If you have played Special Ops for the WiiWare, you should by now be familiar with the on-rails controls that the series offers, and for a WiiWare title, the visuals are still looking as sharp as ever in this sequel.

With interactive and smashable items as well as ever-changing weather conditions, co-op, and an array of vehicles at the players disposal, I must say this sequel has shaped up quite nicely. Teyon announced today that players will not have to wait long to download Black Arms, as it launches on the WiiWare March 7th for just 500 Nintendo points. A new trailer also came in tow with the announcement of a date and price which you can watch below. It may be on rails (which certainly isn’t a bad thing), but this title as a whole has a nice retail polished look about it, much like the first Heavy Fire title so it is definitely worth a look if you are on the fence about where to spend those saved up Nintendo points.

First Strike music video is amazing; DLC available now on PS3

Call of Duty: Black Ops’ first map pack DLC is now available on the PSN for $15 and will give players the chance to access each of the four new multiplayer maps: Berlin Wall, Discovery, Kowloon and Stadium as well as the new zombie map Ascension. This marks the month later release and the end of Xbox 360 exclusivity to the First Strike DLC.

Now that the business part of the article is done, you really must take a look at the trailer that Treyarch and Activision have put together to help sell their First Strike DLC pack. It shows only the Berlin Wall map but what really should catch your attention is the fact that the whole thing is a music video to the Scorpions’ “Wind of Change.” Catch the video below!

L.A. Noire “The Naked City” pre-order DLC gets a trailer

Earlier this week Rockstar released the various pre-order bonuses that would be given out depending on where you actually pre-ordered the game from. GameStop and EB Games have a certain pre-order bonus that is called The Naked City which is actual gameplay DLC with a new case. It begs the question as to how much these two companies had to pay out when they secured this pre-order bonus because this DLC even has a trailer of its own.

You can catch he trailer below and find out that the DLC involves a case where a fashion model has apparently committed suicide but not everything is adding up. Of course you will not have to fret because if you don’t feel like pre-ordering from either GameStop or EB games then you will be able to still download The Naked City a few days after release at an undetermined price.

NGP storage memory detailed; 2GB and 4GB game cards

ngp-product-picture-13

At today’s GDC events Sony was able to take the stage and they have finally gone over what form of media the NGP will be using for its games. Gone are the use of the UMD that the original PSP used and in will be 2GB and 4GB cards that will store the game. This means that the appearance, which was not revealed, will mostly look something similar to the memory stick duos that the current PSP uses as memory.

The interesting feature of these cards is the fact that they will be left with 5-10% of their storage space empty for save game files and patches which is necessary due to the fact that the NGP itself has no internal storage. This question immediately springs to mind however. What if a game is released that requires so many patches to fix that it fills up that data and isn’t able to be patched anymore?

Despite this fact owners will also be able to purchase and use removable memory such as the original PSP uses which could solve the previously asked question. There has been no sign of whether or not these new forms of media will cost more than your average video game at the moment, nor if there will be an additional price between games that only need a 2GB card while some games will need a 4GB card.

Mass Effect fanmade song – Commander Shepard

I can’t believe I just found out about this.  There is a fanmade song about the iconic Commander Shepard from Mass Effect…and it’s actually pretty awesome.  The song was done by MiracleofSound and the video was done by MandaloreMovies and both come together for an awesome music video tribute to the main character of the Mass Effect universe.  The song has a very 80’s feel to it, utilizing soft rock, synthesizers and catchy lyrics.  If you’re a fan of music, Mass Effect or both, check out the video.

Call of Juarez: The Cartel will have three player online co-op

Wit the announcement of Call of Juarez: The Cartel a few weeks in the past it is about time that Ubisoft has released a trailer to go along with the announcement. Better late than never, we are treated to a look at just who will be the main enemy this time around, the drug cartels. It was previously thought that players would be playing as a group known as The Cartel, but this avoids any potential controversy as well as allowing players to play as “bad cops.”

Players will also be able to play one of three different main characters, each of which will have a unique campaign and a unique ending which means that the game can easily be played through three times without growing repetetive. Also annouced is the fact that online co-op will allow players to play with two of their friends and take down enemies as a three-cop crew. Catch the trailer below.

‘Stacking’ stacks up the DLC

In a recent Tweet from THQ, it has been confirmed that Stacking will be receiving some more worlds for you to cause raucous in.  All thats known is that this downloadable goodness is in development.

Double Fine’s other title, Costume Quest, also got some lovin’ with its own form of DLC that fixed some of the problems that the original game had.  Hopefully, the Stacking DLC will have just as good of success, because the game is  crazy good. You can check out the review here.

All in all, if you are want to cause matryoshka’s to create a little bit of creative mayhem, then this is the way to do it.  Do not, I repeat DO NOT, take your grandmother’s priceless heirlooms and make them try to fart.  It just does not work. 🙁

In this game, you can make the little dolls fart all you want.  Seriously.
