From Dust video #3 and announcement of PC release

From Dust is a limited exclusive title for the Xbox 360 and PC that will be available as part of Microsoft’s Summer of Arcade.  Check out the video below for details on exactly how the game will work.  It includes actual gameplay.  Suffice it to say, this looks like an incredibly original title from Ubisoft.

As well as the video though, it has also been revealed that the strategy/puzzle game will be making its way to the PC.  On July 27, you’ll be able to sink your teeth into the dusty delight for the price of $14.99 on both systems.  Most digital distributors will make the game available.

Tell us, what is your most anticipated Summer of Arcade game?

Metro: Last Light The Prologue Trailer

4A Games and THQ’s Metro: Last Light made a surprising and impressive debut at this year’s E3. The sequel to the underrated and somewhat overlooked 2010 game Metro 2033. Right now if you head over to the Metro: Last Light Facebook page, you can take a glimpse of the prologue to the E3 gameplay video. But better yet, the full E3 gameplay video is set to be released tomorrow on their official youtube channel. Metro: Last Light is set to improve on all criticism of the first game, whilst maintaining what made the game good in the first place.

Well hopefully at least…we’ll just have to wait and find out when the game come out next year in March 2012 for the Xbox 360, Playstation 3, PC and Wii U.

Hunter x Hunter Vol. 28 goes #1 after year long hiatus

After 1 year without any release what so ever of the Hunter x Hunter manga, the latest and long overdue 28th volume has went straight to the top of the Japanese manga charts in its first week on shelves.

This is a testament to the quality and brilliance of the Hunter x Hunter manga, without a doubt. To think that fans still eagerly await a new release of Hunter x Hunter and then proceed to sky-rocket it to the #1 position of the Japanese manga charts after a year long hiatus is simply awe-inspiring.

Along side this release, Hunter x Hunter volume 29 is on it’s way to Japanese shelves next month, but thats not all. Next month also marks the return of the Hunter x Hunter manga to serialisation in Weekly Shonen Jump magazine. Fans of the series worldwide just all jumped out of their pants and did a little dance.

Hunter x Hunter is slated to return to Weekly Jump on August 15th and the #29th volume is to be released on the August 4th.

Another South Park game coming exclusively to Xbox 360

Remember awhile ago when Let’s Go Tower Defense Play! was released for the Xbox 360 exclusively? Well apparently that is only half of an exclusive deal that Microsoft has with the South Park franchise. This news comes out of a talk that Joystiq had with a member of 345 Games.

They did not go into detail as to when we could expect another South Park title but they did end up revealing that they would love to work on Stephen Colbert game in the future but apparently it is a very tricky game to create and therefore they are doing their best to make sure that it is “the right combination of game idea meets property.”

Sonic Generations will contain Metal Sonic

Today on Twitter SEGA revealed that they will be bringing back a character that is rather popular in the Sonic fanbase. They will be bringing Metal Sonic in as a rival character in Sonic Generations. You can see his new character design to the right, which I’m sure fans will either love or hate depending on their preferences.

SEGA had little else to say about what role Metal Sonic will play in Sonic Generations besides that he will be “one of the rivals” in the game. Which means that hopefully we’ll see some more popular villains coming back to make an appearance in Sonic Generations as other rivals when the game is released.

Parasite Eve 2 given rating by ESRB for PS3 and PSP release

It appears that eventually all of the Parasite Eve titles will be available to play soon enough on modern day consoles. The ESRB has given a rating to Parasite Eve 2 on the PSP and the PlayStation 3 which is the same exact thing that happened with the first Parasite Eve before it was revealed to be set for a re-release.

The rating doesn’t go into any detail about the game itself besides providing an M rating. Also if you pay attention to the two ratings from the original release and the current, they dropped the “animated” part of violence and gore. I suppose back then things used to be considered a lot more animated than they are today. It’ll be interesting to see how long it will take before Square Enix confirms their intentions for Parasite Eve 2.

Modern Warfare 3 will be tested for glitches, exploits & the like

Well, there will still be no beta for Modern Warfare (which is undoubtedly the best way to combat cheaters and glitches) but Infinity Ward is employing a different method to kill glitches, tricks, strategies, exploits, hacks and other ways to cheat in Modern Warfare 3.  If you’ll remember, MW2 was infested with many glitches and was a major news story every time a new exploit was found.  Hopefully MW3 will be different.

“mapMonkeys are a community of gamers who have become infatuated with discovering and sharing glitches, exploits, tricks, and strategies found in the video games they play.”  And this community is now being flown to California for a week to bug test MW3.

Previoulsy, the team has worked on WoW and MW2, although they said that the time spent on de-bugging these games was only 2-3 days, which was not nearly enough time to fix everything.
