PlayStation Vita sample colors snapped by Hideo Kojima

Snapped meaning picture. No he didn’t go and break all of them. Hideo Kojima shared a picture of one of the stands for the PlayStation Vita which shows a bunch of different colored versions of the system inside of a glass case. The image comes from his Twitter account as he is tweeting various images from the show floor.

There are a lot of different colors shown off, ranging from bright yellow, red, green, purple, blue and even silver. Currently Sony is only showing off a black version of the Vita and is saying that is going to be the only version available, but these colors look very good. Personally I enjoy the silver PlayStation Vita, how about the rest of you?

New trailer for Sonic Generations rises out of TGS…

It wouldn’t be the Tokyo Game Show without Sega and their blue wonder, but thankfully both are in attendance for this year’s big event. Sonic Generations is the next big Sega project of course and with just two months away from release, a new trailer was shown to give players yet another burst of nostalgia.

This clip isn’t really anything new on the gameplay front, but we do get to take a trip back and see older levels like the The Green Hill Zone and the many other famed areas in the game in their newly redesigned format as well as the brand new Sky Sanctuary Zone, which is exclusive to Sonic Generations. Yes, this game is still looking spectacular. Check out the new clip below and strap on those running shoes, as Sonic Generations is due out November 1st for the Xbox 360, PS3, and 3DS.

PlayStation Vita able to take screenshots

The PlayStation Vita is going to have plenty of features when it is released such as a front and back touchscreen, AR cameras, 3G if you buy that option and many more. It seems however that the editors of monthly gaming magazine in Japan, Gemaga, have accidentally found a feature that has yet to be announced for the PlayStation Vita.

The Gemaga Twitter says that the Tokyo Game Show Vita pamphlet which is being handed out by Sony says that the handheld will allow users to take screenshots of whatever they want to and whenever they want to. Sony has never mentioned this feature yet, so perhaps there is a new feature which has just been added or one that was supposed to be announced later on during Tokyo Game Show.

AR Combat Digi G revealed for PlayStation Vita; given trailer at TGS

Although the PlayStation Vita is capable of Augmented Reality gaming, not many games have actually been announced that make use of that function Well Konami’s AR Combat Digi G is going to be a title that seems to focus almost entirely around that feature.

As you can see in the trailer below which was released today for Tokyo Game Show, AR Combat Digi G will use the handheld’s cameras to play a tank battle game on any flat surface. The game looks to be quite impressive and says that players will be able to lock on to enemies by touching them on the PlayStation Vita’s screen. What do you think about this game? Does it make efficient use of the Vita’s AR abilities?

Snow and Hope look older in Final Fantasy XIII-2…

Recently, a January 31st release date was given to the highly anticipated Final Fantasy XIII follow-up, Final Fantasy XIII-2. Things now have taken a rather interesting turn though as two new screenshots have hit the web. These images show a much older looking Snow with slicked back hair and a grown up Hope.

Right now, it isn’t clear as to how big of a role either one of these characters will have in XIII-2, but at least we have solid evidence that both will be making a return in some form during Sera’s journey. With TGS in full swing and XIII-2 just months away from release, I would expect a trailer to be coming forth at any second to give some more details for what we see here, so stay tuned and we will bring you more updates as they come.

Little King’s Story on the PS Vita gets a gameplay trailer from TGS

Little King’s Story first dropped on the Wii back in 2009 and was met with success as its unique blend of simulation and RPG created an interesting playing experience. Two years have passed and it now appears that Little King’s Story is going to be getting a PlayStation Vita port.

Today for Tokyo Game Show Konami released the below trailer which shows a number of improvements to the game. The most obvious of these improvements is of course the graphics but we also see how the Vita’s unique touch control capability will be used to improve the gameplay and provide a more interactive experience for the player. Watch for yourself below.

Beyond the Labyrinth gets a Tokyo Game Show trailer

Today at Tokyo Game Show Konami released a new trailer for tri-Ace’s 3DS dungeon RPG named Beyond the Labyrinth. Attendees at the show actually have a chance to play it right now, but unfortunately we can’t all be at Tokyo Game Show thanks to the massive amount of traveling required for some people.

Still you can see in the below footage that Beyond the Labyrinth looks to be a very interesting title mostly involving the girl in the white hair. Besides some cutscene footage, gameplay footage was also shown near the end. You can follow the game’s twitter at @labyrinth573 but expect most updates to be in Japanese. Here is hoping that this interesting looking title is localized for Western release as it appears to make extensive use of the handheld’s 3D capabilities.

Sega Reveal PuyoPuyo 20th Anniversary For the 3DS!

While it has been known for quite some time that Sega would be releasing PuyoPuyo 20th Anniversary, it was recently announced at TGS that the famous puzzler would be headed to the 3DS. This version is set to include some interesting features as well with each player having the ability to use their photo as a backdrop in-game and interact with eachother via the handheld’s wireless functionality.

The Nintendo Wii version will also get a star-treatment, with newly announced motion controls that will let players slide their googly-eyed pieces around the map by gently moving the Wii remote. PuyoPuyo 20th Anniversary is surprisingly also coming to the PSP and the DS, with the same avalanche stacking action packed in.

I really hope we get to see at least one of the versions of PuyoPuyo 20th Anniversary in the states, but for now those in Japan can expect the game to hit shelves on December 15th with an included soundtrack bundled in.

Tales of Innocence R given trailer at Tokyo Game Show

Tales of Innocence R has received its first trailer today at Tokyo Game Show which you can catch below. Namco Bandai says that Tales of Innocence R is a reimagining of the DS version of the game being brought to the PlayStation Vita. The game has seen an extensive upgrade in graphics, and most likely much more.

In the video we are treated to some very well animated cutscene footage and a decent dose of gameplay footage featuring four player combat against enemies much like past Tales titles have featured. No other information was given about what additions will be made, nor when to expect the title. Let us just hope that Namco sees fit to bring the game over to Western gamers when the PlayStation Vita releases in North America.

Vergil and Iron Fist Revealed in new Ultimate Marvel vs Capcom 3 trailers…

After the recent reveal for both Iron Fist and Vergil in UMvC23 at TGS, Capcom have now released two brand new trailer showing Danny Thomas and Dante’s half-demon kin in action.

In the first clip, we see Vergil using the Yamato to tear up the likes of Doctor Doom, She-Hulk, and Sentinel. Now from the looks of it, this new addition will use his speed techniques to conquer opponents, so he should come in handy for making quick work of the larger foes on the roster. At the end of the trailer, we also get a first look at Vergil’s Ultimate special, which has him summoning energy swords to deliver one devastating finish.

On the Marvel side, we see Iron Fist taking on his own trio of opponents with his blend powerful chi energy and martial arts skills. Iron Fist looks to focus on more close range combat compared to Vergil, but that isn’t a bad thing as this character can tie up the opponent in one incredible combo if utilized correctly.

Check out both trailers below and stay tuned to more TGS coverage as Capcom are sure to be throwing out more news for Ultimate Marvel vs Capcom 3 and all of their upcoming titles.
