Syndicate’s first trailer contains tons of gameplay and mechanics

Interested in seeing what Starbreeze has done with the Syndicate title? Well the trailer released today has compiled together tons of footage not only of gameplay but also of many of the gameplay mechanics which will be available for use in the title including hacking NPCs, rather impressive looking combat, takedowns and whatever is happening in that screenshot up there.

The trailer can be seen below and I daresay that this should silence a few people who were concerned that the title was being transformed from a tactical game into a FPS. Syndicate is currently slated for release on February 21st 2012 on the PC, PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 and is being published by EA.

The Witch and the Hundred Calvarymen teaser site promises reveal on October 6

Nippon Ichi has recently revealed that they are working on a new dark RPG named The Witch and the Hundred Calvarymen or Majo to Hyakkihei as it is known in Japan. The game will be released on the PlayStation 3 and today they have also opened up a teaser website for the game which you can find here.

The website currently only shows the above image of Metallica and the Japanese logo for the game, though it does promise a full opening on October 6th which will hopefully reveal more footage for the title or at least more information. Currently The Witch and the Hundred Calvarymen is set for release in Spring of 2012 in Japan and no sign of potential localization yet from NIS America.

I Am Alive to live on PSN and XBLA this Winter

Gears of War 3 sells 3 million copies in first week, highest grossing 2011 game so far

Gears of War 3 is a huge title, as MasterAbbott will attest to. So huge in fact that Microsoft decided to reveal the first week sales statistics for the title, saying that Gears of War 3 passed the three million sales mark already just during its first week alone. To raise the bar even higher, they also said that Gears of War 3 has “grossed more than any 2011 video game to date.”

Now this current record may not last very long, as a lot of other titles which fans are waiting for will be coming out within the next couple of months, MW3, BF3 and Skyrim to throw a few names out there. Still this is great news for Microsoft and Epic as big sales mean big potential.

We Sing Rock! gets October release date

Nordic Games have confirmed that you will be able to get your rock on from October 28th, as that is when they will be releasing their karaoke game We Sing Rock!

The majority of tracks will include the original videos, and the line-up of 40 songs features artists like Alice Cooper, Kasabian, My Chemical Romance (and Coldplay).

It will add to the other We Sing games before it, introducing another genre of music into the series when it launches for Nintendo Wii on October 28th.

“The game will make a fantastic addition to the portfolio of We Sing games,” says Nik Blower, sales and marketing director, Nordic Games. “We’re giving fans of the We Sing series what they wanted – we’ve gone above and beyond to give them never-before-featured classic rock songs alongside current get-up-on-your-feet headbangers. Iron Front: Liberation 1944 invites you to look at details on new website

In Iron Front – Liberation 1944, Deep Silver and X1 Software plan to send fans of tactical gameplay and shooters back to 1944. For now, they’ve unveiled a website in which players can find detailed information, impressions and more. The official website: Ironfront.deepsilver.com provides interesting facts about the game, the factions, including first details about the weapons and vehicles, as well as a news rubric. It also offers screenshots, numerous wallpapers for download and the first gameplay video. In addition, those interested can subscribe to the Newsletter.

Iron Front – Liberation 1944 is set in Southern Poland during the Soviet Offensive in the summer of that year, when the infantry and tank as well as aircraft units of the Red Army and the Wehrmacht engaged in fierce combat. It was the first time in history that the “Königstiger” tanks fought with the powerful JS2 soviet tanks.

The player takes on the role of a Russian or German infantryman, using teamwork, tactical skill and authentic war machines to battle for victory. The German campaign focuses on slowing the advance of the Soviet troops, while the Soviet campaign is all about breaking through the enemy’s resistance. Each campaign features eight missions. However, the player does not have to do all this on foot: Using their computers, tacticians will control tanks, including the famous German battle tank Panzerkampfwagen VI or “Königstiger” and the Russian Stalin tank JS2, or fighter planes such as the Focke Wulf 190 and dive bombers like the Stuka or the Petlyakov PE-2.

Online is where the battle really heats up in Iron Front – Liberation 1944: Players can either complete missions cooperatively or compete with each other in special multiplayer modes such as “Capture the Flag” or “Attack and Defense”. The game also includes an extensive mission editor, enabling players to intuitively create their own missions and share them with their friends online, thus guaranteeing that there will never be a shortage of new missions.
The tactical first-person shooter Iron Front – Liberation 1944, based on the engine of ARMA II Operation Arrowhead by Bohemia Interactive, includes a German offline campaign, for the first time ever.

Deep Silver will release Iron Front – Liberation 1944 exclusively for the PC in 2012.
