Ni no Kuni: Wrath of the White Witch trailer and release date confirmation

Ni no Kuni: Wrath of the White Witch is the localisation of what is easily the most ambitious and demanded Japanese import in recent memory. The game was released for both the PlayStation 3 and Nintendo DS in Japan, but Western audiences will only be getting a localised version of the PlayStation 3 version.

The release date has been set in stone, as the game will arrive in North America on 22 January 2013 and 25 January 2013 in Europe. The newly released trailer shows off some of the localisation work, and it sounds quite good. While the localisation took a long time to happen, it should be worth the wait when we finally get to play this beautifully produced role playing game next year.

17 minutes of Tokyo Jungle

This year has been quite strange for Sony and the PlayStation brand so far, but perhaps the strangest so far is this upcoming PlayStation 3 exclusive called Tokyo Jungle. This is a release that is at this stage, exclusive to Japan, and rightfully so.

What is Tokyo Jungle? well it’s about the animal kingdom (and dinosaurs apparently) occupying the city of Tokyo in what looks like a very peculiar simulation role playing game. I am not sure what to make of this game, even after watching this newly released 17 minute gameplay footage. It’s unusually disturbing to say the least, you have been warned.

Tokyo Jungle is set for a release in Japan very soon, and quite frankly I hope it stays in Japan. Someone has to think of the children!

Next Tales Game to be revealed today!

The hype train continues to roll on! We are just a few hours away from the revelation of the next Tales Of game, which is set to be revealed at the Tales Of Festival today in Japan.

The event is going to be streamed live, with Tales Channel Members being free to view the stream. Registration as a Tales Channel Member is free and can be done on the official Tales Of website here. Once you have registered you can watch the event streamed here.

It was previously revealed that the game’s tag line will be ‘Would you destroy the world for a girl?’ and would be set in a more Modernish setting then previous Tales Of games, marking a major departure in style for the franchise.

Of course everything will be illuminated later on in the day, stay tuned with Capsule Computers as we bring you all the latest updates in the world of Tales.

Kingdom Hearts 3D E3 2012 Trailer

Ahead of their appearance at the E3 Expo 2012, Square Enix have begun streaming their E3 trailer for their upcoming instalment in the popular Kingdom Hearts franchise, Kingdom Hearts 3D: Dream Drop Distance.

The trailer will of course be shown at E3 2012, but more importantly the game will be playable for those in attendance. Unfortunately I am not one of those lucky people. Regardless, the game’s E3 trailer can be seen below in all it’s gooey glory.

Check out the Kingdom Hearts 3D: Dream Drop Distance trailer below and be sure to let us know what you think of it in the comments section. Have Square Enix got the key to your wallet with this title?

Dark Souls Prepare to Die Edition heading to both PC and PlayStation 3

We’ve known about the PC version of From Software’s brutally challenging role playing game epic, Dark Souls, for quite sometime now. Recently however, it was confirmed that the release will also be arriving on the PlayStation 3 (no plans for an Xbox 360 version at this stage).

Prepare to Die Edition will include all the Dark Soul downloadable content, including the ‘The Artorias of the Abyss’ downloadable expansion. Also with this announcement comes the official box-art of this  upcoming enhanced release. In Japan this game will carry the name of  ‘Dark Souls with Artorias of the Abyss Edition’.

The game is set to launch in 2012, are you prepared to die?
