Today it was revealed on Manga News’ Twitter that the popular Hetalia anime series will be getting a fifth anime season in the September issue of Gentosha’s Monthly Comic Birz magazine. It is worth noting that FUNimation has released all of the Hetalia anime shows so far, including the two Hetalia Axis Powers seasons, both Hetalia: World Series and even the Hetalia Axis Powers: Paint it, White! movie.
It is currently unknown as to whether or not the fifth season will continue with the Hetalia: World Series name or be given a new name of some sort. It is also almost a given that FUNimation will be releasing this title in North America sometime in the future given the popularity of the series so far.
C – The Money of Soul and Possibility Control was picked up for North American release last year and now FUNimation has detailed the anime’s English voice actors who will be voicing some of the main characters when the anime is released on October 30.
The announced English dub cast can be seen below:
MSHYU – Brina Palencia
Kimimaro – Todd Haberkorn
Mikuni – J. Michael Tatum
Q – Monica Rial
Sato – Martha Harms
Masakaki – Scott Freeman
For those who don’t know, the story of C – The Money of Soul and Possibility Control is very economics based and follows a boy named Kimimaro Yoga who encounters a man from the Bank of Midas, a dark parallel world that controls the future potential of the world. An English voice clip was also released by FUNimation today which can be seen below.
A mini-game-series for the upcoming Carrier Command: Gaea called Carrier Command Recruits has recently launched. The mini game series is an episodic series of games that take place in the world of Carrier Command and will be expressing a story arc that progresses through each episode.
The four episode story follows the player characters increase in ranks right up until they reach the point of Technical Analyst. The story takes place just before the actual Carrier Command: Gaea and will require players to unravel a mysterious plot that branches over the arc of the mini-game-series. The first episode, Head Hunters, has been released earlier today and anyone looking at taking a look into the Carrier Command mythos should definitely pick this up.
On the game the devs had this to say –
Korneel van ‘t Land, Brand & PR Manager at Bohemia Interactive, elaborates:
“While we’re gearing up for Gamescom, where many people will get to go hands-on with Carrier Command: Gaea Mission for the first time, this mini-games-series jumps in as an entertaining and free initiative to give people an early taste of the main game’s atmosphere”.
Be sure to check out theOfficial Website for the first episode of the game and check for the video embedded below for more details.

Toki also happens to have a blonde alter ego named Towa (seen above), though she doesn’t appear in the below video at all. After a good wait, one of the best Game Boy titles has finally hit the eShop…at least in my eyes, anyway. Wario Land: Super Mario Land 3 places players in the role of Wario as he schemes his way to steal a giant golden statue of Princess Toadstool. I have a lot of fond memories with this title, as it even has a boss in the form of a giant head that shoots boogers out of it’s nose, along with a good number of fantastic stages and various helmets to give Wario new abilities. Yes, it’s great, and for $3.99, this title is a steal.
Mole Mania is yet another 8-bit Summer title to hit the Virtual Console for the 3DS this week, and is a bit like Bomberman, but with more emphasis on action over puzzles. You can pick up this classic from 1997 for $2.99.
Planet Crashers is also out this week, which is definitely a top-tier release for the platform. Planet Crashers is published by Ignition, and features some RPG/Adventure styled gameplay, with charming characters and a lovely art design for $9.99.
I want to describe Dot Runner: Complete Edition, but aside from being a “dot-eating” game with dungeons. At $4.99, it may be worth looking into, and seeing how this is the “Complete” version, it should be lengthy. Decathlon 2012 is also out for the DSiWare service, and is about what you would expect, with track and other events bundled up into one release for $4.99. Finally, World Heroes Perfect has decided to grace the Wii’s Virtual Console for 900 points, and brings it’s fast-paced fighting gameplay with it.
Colors! 3D is now on sale as well, from 9 a.m. Pacific time on Friday, July 27, through 9 p.m. Pacific time on Sunday, July 29.
Another great week, I’d say. Let us know what you are picking up in the comment section below.
While we may have learned the existence of Battlefield 3’s Aftermath DLC a few months ago, very few details were revealed about what gamers can expect with this DLC. Today the company revealed a little more information, such as the fact that there will be four new maps that take place in a “post-earthquake Tehran.”
The map will include new vehicles, new gameplay modes, new assignments as well as achievements/trophies and of course dog tags. Apparently there will also be new weapons of some sort for the Battlefield 3: Aftermath DLC however what these weapons are or what the game mode are have not been revealed quite yet.
Skylanders Giants will add in a slew of new features, including extra large Giant figures and brand new normal Skylanders figures, to the standard Skylanders experience as well as offer a whole new story. Today Activision announced that gamers who love collecting their little Skylander figures will be able to enter the world of Skylanders Giants on October 21st.
To commemorate the game’s release date announcement the company also released a gameplay trailer, which can be seen below, featuring a brand new Skylander called Swarm. Those interested in seeing our preview coverage of the game during E3 can find it here.
