Transformers fans, prepare yourselves, as Fall of Cybertron is literally hours away from hitting shelves. As many of you know, War of Cybertron was a mega hit and loved by both hardcore and casual fans of the franchise due to it’s fluid, action packed gameplay and gobs of fan service.

Fall of Cybertron is prepared to offer even more this time around, and High Moon Studios have released yet another exciting trailer to celebrate the launch. Check out the clip below, and you can pick up your copy of Fall of Cybertron when it hits stores on August 21st.

Survival Penguin Currently Free

I had to double check that this wasn’t a parody of a Japanese game, but no: Survival Penguin: Battle Royal is the real deal, the stuff that satirists hate, because it does their work for them.

Survival Penguin: Battle Royal casts players as penguins and other icy characters, aiming to knock each other off a glacier, into the freezing waters below. As the screenshots indicate, It’s unashamedly Japanese, and it’s probably fun to boot.

Even if it’s not, it’s currently free on the App store, until August 31st, so there’s not really a reason to not indulge in its unintended hilarity.

Team Fortress 2 Adds New Co-op Mode Mann vs. Machine

0

After so many years of warring between each other it looks like the Blue and Red factions have finally decided to put aside their differences and battle against a common enemy:  the Machines.  Valve’s renowned “most fun you can have online” game Team Fortress 2 Mann vs. Machine is now available as a TF2 update on Steam and ready to transform the fields of battle into junkyards. M vs. M is a 6 player Co-op game mode that throws you and 5 other friends (or random TF2 M vs. M players) against enormous waves of robot doppelgangers of our favorite mercenaries trying to plant a massive bomb on Mann Co.

The new mode includes 3 new maps (Mannworks, Coal Town and Decoy) that take advantage of the new features and allows the player to improve their abilities and weapons in-between wave breaks. It will also give players the opportunity to “earn incredible loot and unlock new achievements” in a variety of missions if the players manage to survive the coming onslaught of boss waves with even more challenging giant robots. Mostly everything is free-to-play as Valve introduced the Mann Up mode. This special mode is played on an official Mann Co. server which requires a “Tour of Duty” ticket costing $0.99 (£0.99 in the UK). All items earned in Mann Up Mode do not affect gameplay as they are for cosmetic purposes only and can be used “throughout all of TF2, and are tradable”.

Scott Pilgrim vs. The World’s online DLC delayed

If you were looking forward to downloading the new Scott Pilgrim vs. the World online multiplayer DLC yesterday then you may have been a bit shocked to find that this DLC was inexplicably absent from the marketplace. Well today Ubisoft has made a statement to Joystiq stating that “The DLC for Scott Pilgrim will be releasing this fall,” an Ubisoft rep told us. “The PSN version will release during that same timeframe. We’ll have more information as we get closer to launch.”

Sort of strange that the company, after two years, decided to set a release date for some DLC of this game, then for no apparent reason delay it for at least a couple of extra months. Sure it probably is among Ubisoft’s lowest priorities but they should still attempt to stay on top of things.

Have a better look at Resident Evil 6’s snake boss

You remember that creepy looking Resident Evil 6 snake B.O.W. which was very briefly shown off a few weeks ago? Well today Capcom revealed their Gamescom gameplay footage, which can be seen below, to the rest of the world and in it we get to see Chris face off against said snake boss.

As one may expect, the snake attacks in somewhat predictable patterns and even tries to squeeze the life out of poor muscle-bound Chris Redfield. Those who are eager to take on this snake still have a little bit longer to wait as the game is meant to be released on October 2nd for the 360 and PS3 with a PC release sometime in the future.

PlayStation Vita hits 2.2 million sales worldwide

Today Sony revealed that the PlayStation Vita has managed to sell 2.2 million units between its launch many months ago and June 30th. The last sales figures that came out of Sony back in May stated that the Vita had sold 1.8 million units by that point. So at least within the last two months the company has manged to push roughly 400,000 handhelds to the public.

Sony has already stated that they believe that they do not need to drop the PlayStation Vita’s price, or at least won’t have to do so until next year. Then again, a price drop and maybe some actual special edition Vitas would actually help raise the sales of this floundering handheld. Some decent “original” games would probably help too…

Have some Grand Theft Auto V vehicle screens

If you have been pacing around in circles hoping for some new Grand Theft Auto V screenshots to come out of RockStar Games then you probably should keep pacing, because although the company released three new screenshots, there really isn’t too much to see here. Unless of course you love vehicles of all shapes and sizes…

The below images feature a bicycle, a car and a plane so… at least you get to possibly ride/pilot each of these vehicles once the game does come out in the future. I suppose you can be happy about the fact that the car’s license plate happens to say “San Andreas” on it.

Tokyo Jungle makes its way to the West for $15

It was a little disheartening when E3 wrapped up that PlayStation 3 owners were still in the dark concerning the status of a certain post-apocalyptic animal survival game. Thankfully today Sony revealed some good news about said game, Tokyo Jungle.

They have announced that not only will the title be coming out for only $14.99 in North America and £9.99/€12.99 in Europe, but also that gamers won’t have to wait that long to play the title considering it is meant to be released in North America and Europe on September 25th and 26th. To commemorate Tokyo Jungle’s release date and price the company also released the below trailer to hype up potential buyers.
