With Gamescom currently happening in Germany, plenty of pieces of media have been coming out of the event and now it is Square Enix’s turn to release a handful of screenshots of their upcoming Tomb Raider reboot.
The screenshots themselves can be seen below, however it is worth noting that nothing new has actually been shown off in these images as they all appear to be similar to what was shown off during their E3 presentation, though a few of them have been cropped together for an impressive vertical image. For those curious about our impressions of the gameplay shown off at E3, you can find it here.
Today Konami revealed a new trailer for the game for Gamescom. The main piece of information announced today however is the release date for the game outside of Japan.
Alongside this trailer the company released a Japanese press release that confirmed that the game would be released in Japan on February 21st. However with a quick translation of the page we’ve found that the company also decided to set the release date for Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance in the West as well. Gamers in North America and Europe can expect to see the title a couple days earlier than Japan as the title will be released on February 19th in those regions.
NIS America isn’t a company that is known for their PC games. In fact the company has never released a title for the PC so far. But today that has changed because NIS America has surprised everyone by releasing their retro looking dungeon crawler ClaDun x2 onto Steam today.
Originally released only on the PSP, the title will cost $19.99 on Steam and can be bought here, though it is worth noting that anyone who buys the game before August 21st will save a bit of money as NIS America is currently holding a 20% off promotion, making the game only $15.99. Those curious about the PSP version of the title can check out our review for it here.

At Gamescom in Germany, Razer unveiled a new Goliathus mousepad and redesigned Deathadder mouse based on the Counter Logic Gaming clan. The redesigned mouse and mousepad carry the teams colours and on the mousepad is also the teams name and logo.
On the mousepad and mouse, representatives from the team had this to say –
“We’re happy to give back to a team that gives so much to the community. Not only is it fun to watch ‘HotshotGG’ and the rest of his team tear up the MOBA tournaments on live-stream, they also share their strategies and encourage discussions on forums for the betterment of gamers everywhere,” said Robert ‘RazerGuy’ Krakoff, president of Razer USA. “Both the players and fans will get to wear the CLG banner on their peripherals with pride.”
“This is the stuff dreams are made of,” said George “HotshotGG” Georgallidis, pro-gamer, Counter Logic Gaming. “To have CLG win Razer’s Team of the Year award and have our logo featured on their products is a milestone honor and a truly surreal experience. I’d like to thank Razer and all of our fans for making this a reality. You are what enables and drives us to play harder and achieve more so that we may rightly receive your overwhelming continued support!”

Players who have been looking at getting into the Battlefield 3 videogame may be pleased to know that a Battlefield 3 bundle has been launched by EA called the Battlefield 3 Premium Edition. The package itself is cheaper than buying the original version of the game and the new Premium service separately.
Included in this package are the Original and Full Battlefield 3 game, the Battlefield Premium service and the Battlefield 3 Mutliplayer Head-Start Kit. What may irk some players about this is that the Multiplayer kit essentially gives new players a bunch of weapons and items that other players would have had to grind for hours to obtain.
Battlefield 3 Premium Edition will be priced at $69.99ASD and $79.99NZD. It will be released on the 13th of September for Australia and 14th of September for New Zealand for the Xbox 360, Playstation 3 and PC platforms.
For Tekken Tag Tournament 2 and possibly subsequent Tekken games in the franchise. The service is launching for the Xbox 360 and Playstation 3 and will be like a social community for players of the Tekken series.
Players who utilise the service will be able to track their personal statistics, create teams with friends, compete in events and discuss the game and it’s strategies. On the service Namco Bandai had this to say –
“World Tekken Federation is a premium service that aims to connect players to the TEKKEN worldwide community in a way never before seen with a fighting game,” said Carlson Choi, Vice President of Marketing for NAMCO BANDAI Games America Inc. “Being able to unite the entire TEKKEN global community is an incredibly exciting initiative that will help extend the competitive nature of the series well past TEKKEN TAG TOURNAMENT 2’s launch date.”
The World Tekken Federation is able to keep players connected to the world of Tekken Tag Tournament 2 as it can be accessed through any online connected device. This means that Tekken players will be able to communicate and look up stats for fighters and other services wherever they are.
The service launches alongside Tekken Tag Tournament 2 on the 9/11/12 – US Date. Tekken Tag Tournament 2 will retail for $59.99USD.
