LG Announces Game World

Game World is the latest offering from LG for its new 3D Cinema compatible TV’s running CINEMA 3D. LG’s Game World will host over 80 games on the platform and each will be playable with the Magic Remote or a compatible gaming device.

The service may sound like one that is only going to shell sub-par games, but this is not true. I mean it has popular titles like Angry Birds available to it. So there is bound to be more quality titles available.

On the device LG had this to say –

“Game World is an excellent and easy to use source for games – especially 3D games – which are suitable for all the family,” said Brad Reed, Senior Marketing Manager – Content and Services.

“Game World will host some of the most popular gaming titles on LG CINEMA 3D Smart TVs. Game World will maximise our 3D TV capabilities to push the boundaries of 3D gaming and expand LG’s Smart TV offering in this market.”

For LG Customers without a 3D TV, fear not. Game World is already out for you to grab so long as you upgrade your TV’s firmware by connecting it to the internet. However, for the moment this is for LCD users, Plasma users will have to wait a few weeks for their update.

Below is a list of games available to the service –

Batman: Arkham City Armoured Edition Now Shipping to Retailers

Remember Batman: Arkham City? It was kind of a big deal as far as huge critical successes and international best-selling games are concerned. Well the exclusive Wii U “Armoured Edition” is now on its way to an outlet near you, packed full of features and extras that weren’t a part of the original release or the Game of the Year Edition. Including Battle Armoured Tech or B.A.T., which allows players to store up kinetic energy in two new outfits for Batman and Catwoman respectively, which can then be released to bring about a whole new world of hurt on Gotham’s Villains.

“The team at WB Games Montréal focused on developing new features for Batman: Arkham City Armored Edition in order to create an immersive gameplay experience on the Wii U and Wii U GamePad,” said Reid Schneider, Vice President and Executive Producer, WB Games Montréal. “Rocksteady made an outstanding game with Batman: Arkham City, so we believe Batman fans will be thrilled with the enhanced combat and new gameplay elements added onWiiU.”

With the game designed exclusively with the Wii U in mind, regular controls have been revamped to allow for easier control by combining both touch screen and regular button/thumbstick action. This means that the Batcomputer can be accessed at any time in the game while still allowing complete control of Batman himself, as well as easier combinations of gadgets to help on the quest to save Gotham.

Batman: Arkham City Armoured Edition will release as a launch title on the new Wii U platform, which means that come November 18th (North America), November 30th (Europe and Australia) or 8th of December (Japan) Nintendo fans will finally be able to don the cowl of the famous Dark Knight.

Guardians of Middle-Earth Tutorial Series – Part 3 Classes

A third video for Guardians of Middle-Earth, a small tactical game that ties into the upcoming Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey has just been revealed. In this video we get to see just how varied the different classes are in the game and how they each affect battlefield in their own unique ways. Defenders like the Witch King can soak up tons of damage and divert enemy attention from weaker classes such as Enchanters, which more than make up for this lack of health with their devastating magical abilities. Players can also respawn even if their hero falls in battle, returning to life at their own base on the map. The further into the game a player is the longer the respawn takes, so careful cooperation and class compliments with your team is a must.

The next tutorial focuses on individual character load-outs and how choosing the right tools for the job can swing the tide of battle. Guardians of Middle-Earth will be available on December 4th 2012 in retail form (PS3 only) or digitally on the Playstation Network and Xbox Live on the same date.

The hilarious Black Ops 2 bonus ending rocks

The special bonus ending for Call of Duty: Black Ops 2 has surfaced online and I must say it is quite hilarious, unintentionally of course. Now before I go on you all must know that there will be spoilers past this point. You’ve been warned.

Anyways the bonus ending features several characters from the game randomly joining Avenged Sevenfold on-stage for a concert performance of the song Carry On in what appears to be a low-end strip club. It is very bizarre and camp ending sequence that must be seen to be believed.

Check out the bonus ending below and let us know what you think of it in the comments section. Avenged Sevenfold puns are welcome.
