Today NetherRealm Studios revealed a new fighter which will be joining the roster of Injustice: Gods Among Us. As you can see in the first trailer of him in action below, the new character may be familiar to many fans of DC Comics as he is the master assassin known as Deathstroke, also known as Slade Wilson.
As you can see, Deathstroke’s playstyle features both sword-based attacks as well as a number of firearm attacks as well. Currently Injustice: Gods Among Us is set to be released sometime in April next year on the Xbox 360, PlayStation 3 as well as the Wii U.
Whenever a new IP is developed by a company and released to the public there is always concern that the game may flop and damage the company. However that isn’t the case with Bethesda’s Dishonored. Yesterday Bethesda spoke with Destructoid about Dishonored’s sales figures and how the game is actually performing above sales expectations.
Pete Hines of Bethesda stated:
“I can tell you that Dishonored is far exceeding our sales expectations, which is especially cool considering it’s new IP facing a host of well-established franchises this quarter. We did terrific numbers again this past weekend, both in stores and on Steam, where Dishonored was listed as the #1 selling title over the holiday weekend. And Dishonored has really sold well overseas.
So, we’re very pleased and appreciate all the fans that have supported Dishonored and Arkane. We clearly have a new franchise.”
Obviously this is great news considering how fresh and exciting Dishonored was with it’s combination of stealth, action and supernatural abilities. Of course some may argue that a sequel isn’t necessary, it would certainly be beneficial for the company to turn this into a franchise which they seem to be doing.

Back in July, writer/director Kevin Tancharoen revealed that the upcoming second season for Mortal Kombat: Legacy would be focused on the actual tournament. Now, Bloody Disgusting have stated that they have learned that this season will also tell origin stories about various characters from various characters from Bi Han to Kuai Liang. The series will not just focus on origin stories though, as the fight for the control of Earthrealm will also be a major aspect. It’s sounding like we can expect plenty of fatalities so far -just the way we like it!
Filming for Mortal Kombat: Legacy season 2 begins in Los Angeles on November 28.

Remember that series that came out a bit more than ten years ago now? Oh what was it called? Ah yes, Halo. Halo had a deep and lasting impact on the FPS genre and as seen in the series latest entry Halo 4 (check out our thoughts here); the franchise can still stand on its own today. Bungie is what was at the core of Halo however and since Halo: Reach they’ve moved on to bigger and better things. What are those bigger things I hear you ask? Well, allow me to introduce you to Destiny.
Destiny is a new IP from Bungie and is the first of a planned series of game’s set out by Activision’s ten year contract with the developers. The game is meant to be akin to that of the “Star Wars Universe”, that is internationally recognised and following a similar format. While Bungie has yet to reveal anything on the game other than the image above, a reader over at IGN handed in a document which gave some details for the game.
“Our story begins seven hundred years from now in theLastCityon Earth, in a Solar System littered with the ruins of man’s Golden Age. A massive, mysterious alien ship hangs overhead like a second Moon. No one knows where it came from or what it’s here for, but only that it’s our protector. Meanwhile, strange, alien monsters creep in from the edge of the universe, determined to take Earth and theLastCity. We are young ‘knights’ tasked with defending the remains of humanity, discovering the source of these monsters and – eventually – overcoming it.”
Interesting indeed. Bungie has since commented on the press release and posted a statement on their website with the above image.
“Go ahead. Take a peek. It’s alright. We weren’t quite ready, but we will be soon, and we can’t wait to finally show you what we’ve really been up to.
Stick around, we haven’t even started yet.”
Apparently the game will be more social based than previous Bungie titles and is meant to appeal to a wide audience. With no gameplay or full reveals by the developer however, for the time being we must be content to wait on their final words which are set to be revealed “soon”.
300 Billion Coins. That number is quite a feat for any game, and New Super Mario Bros. 2’s players have hit that milestone this week. Due to such an accomplishment, Nintendo are now rewarding players with a free course pack for the game for a limited time.
Details can be found below:
The free Gold Classics Pack was inspired by games like Super Mario Bros. and Super Mario Bros. 3, and includes three new courses that can be played in Coin Rush mode. Players can test their skills, then share and challenge other players’ records through the StreetPass feature. The Gold Classics Pack is now available and will be free for a limited time to New Super Mario Bros. 2 owners. Starting Feb. 1, 2013, the pack will be available to purchase for $2.50 in the United States. A variety of other downloadable Coin Rush course packs are available for purchase through the New Super Mario Bros. 2 game
Not a bad freebie at all. Remember, this pack is only free for the next few months it seems, and is a nice little addition to get even more time with the most “valuable” Mario game of them all.
We already know that Etrian Odyssey IV: Legends of the Titan will be released in North America courtesy of Atlus USA next year on February 26th, but so far we have only seen a few screenshots of the game in English. Well today Atlus rectified that issue by releasing an English teaser trailer for Etrian Odyssey IV which can be seen below.
It is worth noting that Etrian Odyssey IV: Legends of the Titan is actually the first game in the series that will feature a Casual mode that will take the player back to town if they die or warp to town whenever they feel like instead of simply ending the game. It also happens to be the first game to feature enemies created with polygons instead of simple 2D sprites.
Remember a game called Dark? No? Well then Kalypso Media is here with a fresh batch of screenshots to remind you that the game exists. Dark happens to be a supernatural third-person RPG which focuses around stealth and action.
Currently Dark is meant to be released at some point in Q2 2013 for both the PC and the Xbox 360 and below you can see some images of the main character’s vampire abilities and some of the game’s stealth mechanics. It is worth noting that the game does use 3D cel-shaded art so fans of that type of style may appreciate the images.
