The sequel to the popular ef ~ a tale of memories, ef ~ a tale of melodies is coming to Australia thanks to Hanabee, who has licensed the title. Whats going to be interesting about this release is that it is releasing in both DVD and Blu Ray Disc formats.

ef ~ a tale of melodies is based off a Visual novel called ef ~ a tale of two cities. The release is the second chapter to the ef ~ tale and will be releasing with both the English and Japanese dubs.

Behold Halo 4 Dubstep! Offical Halo 4 Soundtrack Remix Contest Winners Announced

Back in October in anticipation for Halo 4’s official release, 343 Industries announced a contest to remix Neil Davidge’s epic Halo 4 score, which by the way sold over 9,000 copies in its first week and reached #50 on the US Billboard 200 – the highest a video game soundtrack has ever reached in the chart’s history.

Participants in the remix competition could access samples from three tracks Awakening, To Galaxy and Revival with a panel of judges comprised of soundtrack composer himself Neil Davidge, Halo 4 audio director Sotaro Tojima, London dubstep producer Caspa and Dutch trance producer Sander van Doorn.

Well now the wait is over and the judges have selected 24 winners. If you though the Halo 4 score was epic, then just wait till you hear some of these remixes ranging from dubstep, drum ‘n’ bass, trance and techno.

Dark Fantasy from Althi comes to itunes

Some more news from our friends over at Althi with the release of a new hardcore fantasy title aptly named Dark Fantasy, exclusive to iOS devices and available December 6th. This new strategy RPG will put players in the place of a young king embarking on an epic journey amassing an army of soldiers, mages, dragons and various other beasts to defeat the various malevolent enemies of the Dark continent. Dark Fantasy is set in a land filled with magic and adventure and has something for players of all skill levels with quests for beginners and experts alike. Visually pleasing and released worldwide, players can battle it out amongst themselves or join forces to beat huge bosses together.

Arakawa Under The Bridge X Bridge Release Date Announced

The second series to the highly entertaining Arakawa Under The Bridge, Arakawa Under The Bridge X Bridge is coming to Aussie shores soon thanks to Hanabee. As you will recall, the first season of the series was recently released by the group.

The sequel is set to come to us on the 6th of February, 2013 at $44.95. Much like the first release, this will be a subtitle only release with only the Japanese language available, subtitles are in English. This is based on the still on-going Manga with the same name by Hikaru Nakamura.

Alien Nine Licensed In Aus

Our friends over at Hanabee have recently announced that they’ve licensed the Alien Capturing Anime, Alien Nine. The Anime is based off a Manga by Hitoshi Tomizawa, and had an OVA release back in 2001 preceeding this release to come in the future.

The series’ premise is listed as thus –

The Alien Part is in charge of the capture and maintenance of the many rogue Aliens that wander on to the grounds. But to capture those aliens you needs the help of one. Known as a “Borg”, this symbiotic life form offers the ability to protect, incapacitate and ultimately capture other aliens for compensation for being able to feed off them…by licking their back.

Metal Gear Solid 4: 25th Anniversary Edition dated for Australia

Today Konami revealed that they will be releasing Metal Gear Solid 4: 25th Anniversary Edition, the re-release of Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots with a number of new enhancements on December 18th in both Australia and New Zealand.

Now why should you pick this version up? Well this updated version of the game will come pre-patched which includes unlockable Trophies and the ability to install the game to the PlayStation 3 to avoid the crippling load times of the original version. Also anyone who picks up the game will also receive a special double-sided poster which features Yoji Shinkawa’s artwork.

Kasumi joins the Ninja Gaiden 3: Razor’s Edge roster as free DLC

It seems that Tecmo Koei’s Ninja Gaiden 3: Razor’s Edge is soon going to be receiving yet another playable character in the form of free DLC. Today during Nintendo’s latest Nintendo Direct presentation Team Ninja head, Yosuke Hayashi revealed that Kasumi will be released as DLC sometime in the future.

As you can see in the image above, Kasumi will be wearing one of her armored outfits from the Dead or Alive series. This means that in the future, Razor’s Edge will feature three playable characters that cannot be found in past versions of the game in the form of Ayane, Momiji and Kasumi.

G.I. Joe Retaliation New Poster Revealed

Paramount Pictures Australia have released a new poster for their upcoming G.I. Joe Retaliation film coming to cinemas soon. This film is the follow up to the previous film featuring the re-imagined G.I. action figure characters being portrayed by stars such as The Rock.

For those of you unfamiliar with the concept behind Retaliation, here we have a short synopsis provided to us by Paramount –

In this sequel, the G.I. Joes are not only fighting their mortal enemy Cobra; they are forced to contend with threats from within the government that jeopardize their very existence.  The film stars D.J. Cotrona, Byung-hun Lee, Adrianne Palicki, Ray Park, Jonathan Pryce, Ray Stevenson, Channing Tatum with Bruce Willis and Dwayne Johnson.  Directed by Jon M. Chu, and produced by Lorenzo di Bonaventura and Brian Goldner, from a screenplay by Rhett Reese & Paul Wernick based on Hasbro’s G.I. Joe® characters.

The 7 Wonders of Crysis 3 Coming Soon

It seems every major video game franchise is going for the episodic story build-up before release, and Crysis 3 looks to be no different. Today, it was announced that renowned filmmaker Albert Hughes will be teaming up with Crytek to create an online, episodic web series by the name of “The 7 Wonders of Crysis 3”.

This series will have a narrative to set the player up for the events within the upcoming title, as well as introduce new enemies, weapons, and lush scenery. You can check out the teaser below, which details a bit of what we can expect from the 7 Wonders series, which will launch on 12/12/12.
