While it hasn’t been without its controversy, fans of open world zombie killing romps will be elated to know that the upcoming Dead Island: Riptide has went gold and will be coming to the Xbox 360 and Playstation 3 on April 23rd.
I certainly have a lot of hope for this follow-up, as the first had a lot of promise and was ultimately a pretty decent experience. For now though, you can be happy to know that Dead Island’s next entry is due out in just under three weeks time (check out our own hands-on here while you wait).
Tomb Raider has been a critical success, and if you haven’t gotten your hands on a copy, please do (our review). The developers at Crystal Dynamics are already reflecting on their favorite parts of the game, and have shared a video showcasing the ‘Scaling of the Ziggurat’.
The Ziggurat is an ancient temple built upon an icy mountainside, which Lara must traverse in the latter stages of the game in order to reach her final destination. Lara must draw upon all of the climbing skills she’s learned throughout the game in order to conquer this challenge. Lara Croft “Scaling the Ziggurat” was chosen by the team as the game’s best climbing highlight with Noah Hughes, Creative Director at Crystal Dynamics, explaining why in the introduction of the clip. Check it out below!
Deep Silver is still working on making their place in the video games world and this year in addition to the IPs they picked up from THQ they are introducing a brand new IP with the Ride to Hell universe. The new IP isn’t going to release with only one game this year however, but three.

Set for retail release in North America on June 25th, followed by everywhere else on June 28th for Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, and PC.
Ride to Hell: Route 666, from developer Black Forest Games, pits players as the head of a biker gang vying to take total control of famed Route 66. Leading all the way from Chicago to L.A., players have to use everything they’ve got to claim the full stretch when the game releases on June 27th for XBLA, PSN, and Steam.
Lastly, Ride to Hell: Beatdown will take the new IP to mobile devices in the form of a brawler. Though the information on this title is very limited at the moment, but as time goes on more will become available.

After a long tenure as the opening theme of One Piece, it has now been confirmed that ‘We Go!’ will be replaced by a new theme song after more than a year and a half as the series opening.
‘We Go!’ has been the series opening theme since the beginning of the New World saga back in October 2011. One Piece will say goodbye to “We Go!’ with its final appearance on episode 590. Following that a new theme called ‘Hands Up!’ by Kota Shinzato will begin with episode 591 on April 14th, 2013. Fans of the series may remember Shinzato’s performance of classic theme ‘We Are!’ on the Episode of Luffy special.
It will certainly be sad to see a song such as ‘We Go!’ go after endearing itself into the hearts of One Piece fans, but it is undoubtedly time to throw your hands up as we farewell ‘We Go!’ and welcome ‘Hands Up!’.
