Ride to Hell: Route 666 Races Out with Trailer

After releasing the trailer for the retail game for their new game universe, Deep Silver has finally put out a trailer for the arcade game due out this summer. Developed by Black Forest Games, Ride to Hell: Route 666 looks like an interesting title, focused not on the main character for Ride to Hell: Retribution, but instead an interesting combination of strategy and brawling, while riding a motorcycle.

If that combination sounds confusing to you, well you aren’t alone, but thankfully with the new trailer it is easier to understand just how the game will work. While gameplay is a little limited, instead focusing on the games art and action, there are a few telling snippets of what to expect. Seems the game will task players will figuring out the ideal formations and biker types to place, then put the plan into action and dish out tickets for the gun show, both kinds, as they set out to conquer Route 66.

Players can check out the trailer for Ride to Hell: Route 666 embedded below and see how it looks and the little bit of how it’ll play, to gear up for its release this summer for XBLA, PSN, and PC.

Ubisoft has just launched their latest update to their free-to-play PC shooter, Tom Clancy’s Ghost Recon Online. The patch primarily adds a bunch of new content and features as well as service improvements.

Among the slew of new content is a new map, Attica Heights, set in Singapore’s business district and is built around the Holdout game mode. Players can now test any weapon at the Firing Range while the Field Testing system lets you trial new tiers of weapons as they become available. You can bring along these temporary trial versions to three matches, allowing you to try before buying.

The OMEGA Pack is also included, based on the private military corporation securing the Attica Heights facility. Players can optimise their gear for close quarters combat with high rates of fire and short ready times, along with new head gear and upgraded weapons with new camouflage.

An anticipated new feature is the Project TOPOS: Beta Map Testing, allowing the community to play prototype matches and help improve map design before they go live.

Finally, 0.11.0 makes available four new bundles of gear in the form of Mystery Boxes, sometimes containing limited-edition vintage weapons.

Rift-Hunter-Announced

Kingnet Technology have announced their new title, Rift Hunter. The game combines the gameplay of 1990’s arcade beat em’ ups with the interactivity of MMOs. Rift Hunter’s cutting-edge mobile co-op mode promises to let users enjoy classic arcade style action with friends around the world.

Rift Hunter allows for a level of customization which would rival most RPGs.  Players will initially have 4 classes to choose from and each class has its unique combat style and a massive skill tree; giving players the chance to design their own unique fighting style.

Furthermore, the game’s unique gear system gives players additional control of their stats, allowing them to build the perfect fighting machine. With over 200 unique, hand-drawn levels, Rift Hunter allows iOS gamers to enjoy simplistic controls, along with advanced game features, as they hunt strange creatures coming from mysterious portals, which are appearing across a once peaceful land.

Daniel Chiu, Product Manager at Kingnet Technology has stated:

“Rift Hunter has successfully bridged the gap between two parts of my life as a gamer. First, it reminds me of classic beat ‘em up like Golden Axe and Final Fight which I loved as a kid, but then it brings in the interactivity of a modern MMO, so I can play co-op or duel with my friends. This game really is made by gamers, for gamers!”

Rift Hunter will be available for free on iOS across the UK and in Germany this May, with additional territories soon to follow. The trailer can be found below.

Choose to Protect Mankind as AUTOBOTS or Steal Earth’s Resources as DECEPTICONS in the Ultimate TRANSFORMERS Mobile Card Battle Game

Like a great deal of the Transformers franchise the game is set on war-torn Earth, players choose to build a team of either Autobots or Decepticons to run through the story as, they will take the part of the good guys or bad guys as they follow the story, all the while building an army of high-powered Transformers and battling their enemies along the way.

DeNA had this to say:

“The TRANSFORMERS brand is a fantastic universe for our development team to create a fast-paced gameplay experience with gorgeous visuals, original characters, and never-before-seen game mechanics in the card-battle genre,” said Clive Downie, CEO of DeNA West. “TRANSFORMERS: LEGENDS packs an extraordinary amount of fun and engaging action into mobile devices for everyone, from the most devout TRANSFORMERS fans to those players that might be experiencing the ‘More Than Meets the Eye’ property for the first time.”

The game is greatly inspired by the original series of Transformers which made it’s debut in the 1980’s and was introduced by Hasbro. Players can collect hunders of characters, inspired by and taken from that generation of the series, in both their robot forms and vehicle/alternate forms, which can either be used in battle or to fuse with another bot to create an even stronger character to fight with. Collect both the robot and alternate forms of the same character means that you can combine those two to create a big, better and stronger version of that same Transformer which will sport special bonuses that will give the player that bit of an upper hand on the battlefield.

Hasbro had this to say:

“This is our first time working with DeNA and we’re excited to be teaming with their mobile game experts on our first official TRANSFORMERS mobile card-battle game,” said Mark Blecher, Senior Vice President, Digital Gaming at Hasbro. “The launch of TRANSFORMERS: LEGENDS is a great opportunity for us to share the TRANSFORMERS brand with the millions of game players across DeNA’s Mobage social network.”

transformers-legends-03

Transformers: Legends will introduce different gameplay sequences during the campaign missions, sequences like intercepting an enemy missile in real time whilst combing the area for allies to recruit or new weaponry to use. PvP (Player versus player) matches will give friends the chance to show off their battle prowess and their most powerful Transformers. There will be around the world connectivity so there will always be someone ready to play a game of Tranformers: Legends against you. Regular events will be hosted in the game where players can battle against their worst enemies in order to save the world or just mine for minerals to make your team even stronger.

Eurogamer Expo 2013: UK Gaming Convention Dates, Location and Admission Confirmed

Eurogamer-Expo-image-screenshot-01

So the dates are now out for the 2013 Eurogamer Expo which is to be held in Earl’s Court, London, in the UK. This year’s event will be a chance to hit the showroom floor and try out several of this Christmas’ and New Year’s most anticipated titles. Not only this, but you can also drop in on the ‘developer sessions’ to watch TED style presentations on the industry’s most exciting new developments. You can also watch them online in HD at the Eurogamer site.

This year’s event will be mainly backed by the Virgin Media bunch – and, if all goes well, they’ll be keeping David Tennant in his little box for this one. Other sponsors include the familiar trio of PlayStation, Nintendo and Microsoft, but also the troubled UK based Game retail outlet is also providing funding, despite their announcement to close most of their stores before the end of this year earlier in 2013 due to a lack of revenue.

If you’re thinking of heading down, you should navigate to this address between the 26th and 29th of September: Earls Court One, Earls Court, Warwick Road, London, SW5 9TA. If you’re curious to know how much tickets cost, well that depends… If you want to be there for the full event (11am-7pm) it’ll cost you £12.00, for the afternoon only ticket (2pm-7pm) it will cost £8.00. Early entry tickets (10am-7pm) are mostly sold out, but some are still available at £16 on certain days.

You can also buy tickets in bulk to earn a 5% saving (for 5-10), 10% (for 11-20) and 20% (for 21-50), if you’re a super ticket buyer, you can score 30% for buying over 51 tickets. It’s not exactly a deal you’ll be clambering over one another to get to, but it’s a nice nod to large groups.

Those who want to buy tickets from the official vendor should head over to The Eurogamer Expo 2013 Ticket Site.
