Today Atlus released a new trailer for ACE Team’s Zeno Clash II which is set to be released next week on the PC. The video, which can be seen below, contains six minutes of gameplay footage where players can not only see how unique this game looks but also all of the additions they made to this sequel’s combat system and more.
There is even an optional “retro” filter that makes everything in the game look pixelated. It is worth noting that Zeno Clash 2 will be released next week on the PC where it is currently available for pre-order on Steam at $19.99 but it is also meant to be released on the XBLA and PSN, though an exact release date for those versions of the game have not been announced.
You have to hand it to Rockstar Games, they make the news even when they are just teasing that they will be revealing news sometime in the future. Case in point, today Rockstar Games has announced over Twitter that they will be revealing what seems like three new debut trailers for Grand Theft Auto V next Tuesday.
The tweet stated “Michael. Franklin. Trevor. #GTAV Trailers Coming April 30.” This means that the trailers will probably be focusing on the three playable characters in the game and who knows what else. Currently Grand Theft Auto V is set to be released later this year on September 17.
Today Bethesda announced that they will be releasing Skyrim once again, but this time as The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim Legendary Edition on June 7th. As one would expect, this is the version of Skyrim that comes with all of the game’s downloadable content already added into the game.
When it is released for the Xbox 360, PlayStation 3 and PC it will cost $59.99 and this Legendary Edition will include the Hearthfire, Dawnguard, and Dragonborn DLCs as well as “added features like combat cameras, mounted combat, Legendary difficulty mode for hardcore players, and Legendary skills – enabling you to master every perk and level up your skills infinitely.”
Today Ubisoft announced that the long delayed Rayman Legends will finally be hitting store shelves in North America on September 3 while gamers in Europe will be picking the title up a few days earlier on August 30th. The game will be available on not only the Wii U, which it was originally exclusive for, but the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 as well.
This news accompanied the announcement of the Online Challenges app being released onto the Wii U eShop today. This free demo includes the Land of the Livid Dead, Neverending Pit, and Infinite Tower levels and a level designed for the Wii U GamePad, Murfy’s Dungeon Run. If you were hoping to finally pick up the Phoenix Wright Trilogy HD this month then you better put your cash away. It looks like after the game was set to be released last fall before being delayed to early 2013, then to April, the game is being delayed yet again for unknown reasons.
When questioned about the status of the game, Senior VP Christian Svensson stated on the Ask Capcom forums that “For reasons unknown to me, the release has slid another several months to July. Sorry guys.”
Whenever the company actually does release this game for the iOS, Ace Attorney, Justice for All, and Trials and Tribulations will be available as separate games or bundled together in one purchase. Of course who knows when that purchase can actually be made at this point.
Today the cover athlete for EA Sports’ Madden 25 was revealed and this time around it looks like the “Madden Curse” will be avoided. Why you ask? Well because the cover athlete is actually retired at the moment. As you can see to the right, the former Detroit Lions running-back and Hall of Fame inductee Barry Sanders will be gracing Madden 25’s cover.
The voting process for the cover athlete saw 40 million votes and a final choice between Sanders and Adrian Peterson from the Minnesota Vikings. Sanders won this final contest with 58% of the vote. It is interesting to note that Sanders also appeared in the background of the Madden NFL 2000 box art, since that was when Madden himself would be the focus of the cover.
The Sims FreePlay received a major update this week entitled Moving Up. Sims who were previously trapped to a humble life of bungalows and other one story buildings can now create two and three story houses with the assistance of Construct-O-Coins. This new form of currency is earned by completing goals in game. Additionally, a variety of new housewares and clothing styles has been added to the game. The in game Sports Center is also getting a makeover. The center has been renamed the Community Center to acknowledge the new hobby of wood working being added to the building. The Sims FreePlay is available for free on iTunes, Google Play, and the Amazon App Store.
EA released a new trailer for The Simpsons: Tapped Out to celebrate the game’s release on Google Play. The short and humorous trailer features Homer and the magical giant finger from the sky as they rebuild Springfield. The Simpsons: Tapped Out is available for free on iTunesand Google Play.
The final chapter in the beloved Runaway series of point and click adventure games has been released on iTunes today. Runaway: A Twist of Fate Vol. 2 completes the story of Brian Basco’s daring escape from the mental hospital after being charged with a crime he did not commit. Majesco Entertainment and Disney Interactive have just announced Phineas and Ferb: Quest for Cool Stuff for the Xbox 360, Nintendo Wii, Wii U, DS and 3DS, expected to launch this August.
Phineas and Ferb have a new invention – the A.T.T. (All-Terrain Transformatron). This upgradeable, customizable, ultra-cool amphibious ride helps the boys hunt for lost loot to display in their backyard Museum of Cool. Beyblade: Evolution will let players take full advantage of the 3DS‘ unique capabilities, as they’ll launch their in-game beyblade, using the gyro and motion sensors and manipulating the viewing angle with the Augmented Reality camera for precise control and adjustment.
