Great news out of Japan today for fans of Chu2koi. The June issue of Kadokawa Shoten’s Newtype Magazine has revealed that the production of a second season of Chuunibyou demo Koi ga Shitai! has been green-lit.

The insert announcing this second season was first found by 0takumu and can be seen to the right. Currently it is unknown when this second season will air, though it is worth noting that Sentai Filmworks did license the first season for home release in North America, though the company has not announced what their release plans are for the series as of yet.

Project X Zone’s latest trailer highlights Capcom’s characters

Project X Zone may seem like a risky endeavor at first, what with Capcom, Sega and Namco contributing a number of their characters to create a Nintendo 3DS exclusive strategy RPG, however just one glance at the game in action will silence the critics.

Today Capcom released a video highlighting some of the Capcom characters that will be in the game, including characters from Street Fighter, Resident Evil, Mega Man, Dead Rising, Darkstalkers and more. Check out the video below and keep an eye out for Project X Zone when Namco Bandai releases it in North America on June 25th.

Gran Turismo announcements to be made on May 15

It seems that an event will be held later this month that will bring Sony fans some exciting Gran Turismo news. It has been discovered via an invite found at NeoGAF that Polyphony Digital will be holding an event at Silverstone Circuit, Towcester, Northamptonshire on May 15th to celebrate Gran Turismo’s 15th anniversary.

As you can see to the right, the invite reads: “Join us to celebrate 15 years of Gran Turismo, and discover exciting announcements about its future.” It is unknown exactly what these announcements could be, but all signs are pointing towards a possible Gran Turismo 6 reveal that may even be heading to the PlayStation 4.

The Wolf Among Us’ first screenshots feature a smoking pig

If you were to cook a pig that had a habit of smoking cigarettes, would the best cooking method be to smoke it? Moving on. Today Telltale Games released the first screenshots for their next game which is called The Wolf Among Us which is a new episodic series based off of the Fables graphic novels.

The storyline of The Wolf Among Us will be set prior to the events that occur in the first issue of the Fables comic book series, where players will play as Bigby Wolf, a man who is also known as The Big Band Wolf. Bigby is the sheriff of a hidden community in New York City where mythical creatures have been banished from fairy tails into the real world.

The screenshots can be seen below and at the moment The Wolf Among Us is set to be released sometime this summer for the PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, PC and Mac.

New Pirate Themed Guncraft Trailer Released

Exato Game Studios is showing off their level design toolset in their new trailer for Guncraft. The time lapse trailer demonstrates a pirate themed level being constructed from bare ground to two pirate ships fighting near several small islands. After the level’s construction is completed, two teams do battle with guns, helicopters, and bombers as the level is slowly destroyed.

Guncraft is a voxel based shooter that features a destructible environment that can be rebuilt during combat. The game is currently available as a free open beta. Pre-orders for the full game is available for $15.00. Exato Game Studios is currently running a Steam Greenlight campaign for Guncraft.

Blade Analyzer Pro Announced

Devolver Digital and Zilla Enterprises are working together to bring an interesting piece of software to blade collectors around the world. Blade Analyzer Pro allows users to take photos of swords and knives in their collection and upload it to the software. Users will be able to gain valuable data about the photographed blade. The app can assist in cataloguing collections. The program currently contains over 12,000 different blades with data provided by researchers and historians. A closed beta is underway with the help of museums and top private collectors.

Blade Analyzer Pro was originally designed by sword collector and Zilla Enterprises founder Orochi Zilla to catalogue his personal collection. The application is currently slated for a Fall 2013 release. A Steam Greenlight campaign is underway.

Marvel Heroes Final Open Beta Begins Friday

Marvel Heroes announced the final open beta before the release of the full game will occur on Friday, May 10th to Monday, May 13th. To participate, players will need to register at the official Marvel Heroes website. The Open Beta will feature the heroes from The Avengers.

To celebrate the announcement, a new trailer featuring Thor has been released. The trailer shows off Thor battering enemies in many of his classic costumes from the comics and the films.

Marvel Heroes is an action MMORPG created by David Brevik, the mind behind Diablo 1 and 2, and written by Brian Michael Brendis. The game will be a free to play MMORPG and will be released on June 4th, 2013.

First Toki Tori 2 Update Released

Two Tribes released the very first update for Toki Tori 2. The update is currently deployed across Europe and will soon be released in the US. The update adds a hint at a certain point in the game where many people were stuck. A new area has been added to the game along with several bug fixes. The full list of changes can be found on the Two Tribes website.

Toki Tori 2 is a puzzle platformer for the Wii U. The game is currently available on the Wii U eShop for $14.99. PC users can expect a release later this year on Steam.
