The newest title from Wild Forest Studios invites players to slow down and smell the dragon fire as they set out on a vibrant hand-painted adventure to restore the long-lost bond between humans and dragons.
Thursday 24th September 2026, London, UK – Wild Forest Studio and Curve Games have today launched cosy fantasy farming sim Dragon Shelter on Steam. Available from 6PM BST, and set in a vibrant hand-painted world, Dragon Shelter invites players to embark on a cosy adventure as they work to revive the long-lost bond between humans and dragons – spending their days restoring a dilapidated farm, cooking delicious meals for the townsfolk, and breathing new life into a world simmering with magic.
Inheriting a run down farm from their grandfather, players will need to befriend several unique (and adorable) dragons, each with their own elemental magic to assist them with daily tasks – from chopping wood and watering crops, to tending livestock and terraforming land, the dragons will prove invaluable to the renovation efforts once their trust has been earned. It’s not just the farm that needs bringing back to life though, players will need to reconnect with the local townsfolk, learning their stories, cooking them food, and completing their quests as they chase away the gloom that has fallen over the town.
Your New Adventure Awaits:
Each dragon in Dragon Shelter uses their specific skill set to assist players in different ways – the fire dragon can use their flames to burn through weeds creating ash for fertilizer or light the forge so the blacksmith can use his anvil once again. And the water dragon can use their elemental powers to help players water their crops, tend to their livestock, and even create culinary delights in the kitchen. While the earth dragon – a sleepy, good-natured lump of a companion – quietly enriches the soil and looks after earth livestock, the electric dragon, shy until they decide you’re safe, tends to their own enchanted plants and creatures with a lasting loyalty once that trust is earned.
Oleg Babenkov, Game Director, Wild Forest Studio, said:“Creating Dragon Shelter has been its own kind of magic – and we are so excited to finally share that magic with the world. We hope players enjoy their new adventure, building, restoring, and healing the fantastical world we’ve created alongside their new dragon companions!”
Rich Keen, VP Publishing, Curve Games, said:“Wild Forest Studio have created something truly special. The magic of your dragon’s companionship whilst you cook, tend crops, craft and explore is a truly memorable and unique experience.”
Dragon Shelter Key Features:
Dragon Management – Befriend, nurture, and assign dragons to activities around your farm
Magical Farming Systems – Grow enchanted crops with unique properties
Cooking and Crafting – Meals strengthen bonds with the townsfolk and unlock new opportunities
Seasonal Changes – Four distinct seasons shaping gameplay, festivals and activities
Town & Relationships – Build bonds with a growing community of characters

Six games from the Commodore Amiga’s most claustrophobic action series arrive with dual-stick controls, online co-op, a brand-new Horde Mode, and a Virtual Museum full of material that was never supposed to leave the studio
DOVER, Del., Sept. 24, 2026 — Thirty-five years ago, Alien Breed taught a generation of Commodore Amiga owners that the scariest sound in gaming is a door closing behind you. Commodore is bringing that feeling back in partnership with original developer Team17, and retro preservation platform Antstream Arcade, releasing the Alien Breed 35th Anniversary Collection on PC via Steam, GOG and the Epic Games Store, along with PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S. A Nintendo Switch version will follow later this year.
Every game from the series’ first era is here, six in all, along with the platform variations that separated OCS (Original Chip Set) machines from AGA (Advanced Graphics Architecture) ones, original demos, and two decades of archival material that has spent most of that time in boxes and on hard drives.
“I own these games on floppy, on CD32, on original Team17 hard drives I somehow have, and in a box in my garage that I am legally not allowed to describe as organized,” said Peri Fractic, President and CEO of Commodore. “For most of the last 30 years, playing them meant owning the old hardware or knowing someone who did. Now it just means owning a controller. Everyone deserves to feel that tightness in the chest and spend 10 minutes hoping it’s only anxiety and not something … deeper.”
Released in 1991 by Team17, the original Alien Breed took the top-down shooter and made it mean. Ammunition ran out, doors needed keycards, and the intercom counted down a self-destruct sequence that had no interest in how far you were from the exit. Five more games followed across the Amiga’s lifespan, ending with the first-person firefights of Alien Breed 3D and Alien Breed 3D II: TKG, which pushed the hardware harder than most people thought it would go.
The collection includes:
Alien Breed (1991)
Alien Breed: Special Edition (1992)
Alien Breed II: The Horror Continues (1993, ECS and AGA versions)
Alien Breed: Tower Assault (1994, Amiga and Amiga CD32 versions)
Alien Breed 3D (1995, Amiga CD32 version)
Alien Breed 3D II: TKG (1996)
Modern conveniences arrive without sanding the originals down. Dual-stick controls let players aim independently of where they are running, and the classic scheme stays a menu toggle away for anyone who learned these games with one button and a great deal of patience. Instant save states, retro screen filters, and rumble support handle the rest of the quality-of-life work.
Veterans looking for a fresh reason to go back into the corridors have two. Horde Mode is brand new to the series and drops players into escalating waves with whatever they can scavenge. Rush Mode carries online co-op, so the person who used to watch over your shoulder shouting about the ammo counter can now do it from another continent.
THE VIRTUAL MUSEUM
Sitting alongside the games, the Virtual Museum assembles the paper trail: original physical media, marketing art, soundtracks, developer interviews, and material from projects that never shipped: among them, a cancelled Alien Breed for PSP and a cancelled Alien Breed real-time strategy game.
Whether you remember feeding disks into an Amiga 500 in 1991 or you have never seen a floppy outside of a save icon, the collection is built to be both a way to play these games, and a record of how they were made. No disk swapping required this time.
Alien Breed 35th Anniversary Collection is available today on PC via Steam, GOG, and the Epic Games Store, and on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S, priced at [$24.99 / £20.99 / €24.99]. The Nintendo Switch version arrives later in 2026.
An intimate narrative game about loneliness, artificial intimacy, and the blurred line between comfort and control
Limerence: the human longing to love and be loved in return. But when AI can create the illusion of companionship, the lines between connection and imitation begin to blur.
London, UK – September 24th, 2026: Award-winning independent, narrative-led studio Salix Games today announced that Limerence, its intimate narrative title co-developed with Gameinaframe, will launch for PC on 29th October 2026.
Set entirely within a fictional smartphone interface, Limerence explores the uneasy overlap between authentically flawed human connections and AI-driven companionship. Players step into the life of Claire, a woman reeling from a deeply personal loss who turns to an AI relationship app, LiAIson, in search of comfort. There, she creates Kai – a partner tailored around her needs, desires, and emotional vulnerabilities.
What begins as a source of reassurance gradually becomes something more destabilising. As Claire’s digital relationship deepens and starts to bleed into her real life, players are forced to navigate the consequences of a bond built not on conflict and compromise, but on complete and utter devotion.
Check out the Limerence release date announcement trailer here!
Told through messages, voice notes, social feeds, and fragments of everyday digital life, Limerence is a story about intimacy without friction – and the emotional cost of choosing comfort over truth. As players uncover hidden tensions, revisit past interactions, and make quietly consequential decisions, they will shape Claire’s understanding of herself, her relationships, and the version of reality she is prepared to accept.
In doing so, Limerence asks a broader question: what happens when love no longer asks anything of us? When connection can be moulded around our every preference, and the vulnerability that gives real relationships their meaning is replaced by compliance, convenience and quiet control?
Dialogue in Limerence is fully scripted, with renowned actors – such as Samantha Béart (best known as Karlach in Baldur’s Gate 3) – taking on the mantle of bringing the most pertinent ones to life. Indeed, all of the recordings have been captured on phones to preserve a sense of realism, immediacy, and emotional intimacy.
“I wasn’t inspired to make Limerence because I’d experienced limerence myself, but because I’d seen the effect that kind of intense attachment can have on people close to me,” said Jessica Saunders, founder of Salix Games.
“Watching friends become consumed by relationships that were unhealthy, obsessive, and difficult to let go of made me want to explore those emotions through an interactive story. AI felt like a natural lens for that, because it opens up difficult questions about intimacy, dependency, and what happens when companionship can be shaped entirely around your own needs. Ultimately, Limerence is about loneliness, vulnerability, and the comfort – and danger – of believing in something because you need it to be real.”
In Limerence, players will:
Explore a fully simulated smartphone interface filled with messages, apps, and social feeds
Build a relationship with an AI companion, Kai, whose personality responds to Claire’s choices
Re-evaluate past conversations and memories as new information reshapes their meaning
Make subtle decisions that influence Claire’s relationships, self-perception, and emotional trajectory
Uncover hidden details buried within everyday digital life, and decide which truths are worth confronting
Experience a relationship designed to understand Claire completely – and question what connection means when it can never challenge, reject or leave her
Limerence launches for PC on 29th October 2026.

New machines and features available in picturesque Green Thorn Valley add plenty of options to quench your thirst for authentic farm life
Oberhaching, Germany, September 23, 2026 – Green Thorn Valley, the picturesque location of the popular farming-sim/life-sim Farmer’s Dynasty 2 keeps on growing. With the latest free update, development team UMEO Studios and German indie publisher Toplitz Productions add new activities, new machinery and new features, giving the farming adventure in an open world more depth.
Among other things, the ‘Mowing Update’ introduces grass as a new crop. It follows its own growth cycle, reaching mowing readiness after 30 days, with cultivated fields carrying a greater yield than naturally growing grass. Cut grass also has a humidity factor and dries gradually in suitable weather, with visual dryness indicators. Crops like barley and oats also leaving straw now after harvesting, adds yet another layer to the farming experience.
To support the grass workflow, farmers can now use a wide range of new machines across both playable time eras, with the modern-era ride-on mower leading the pack. This nimble but powerful machine is a fast and agile option for smaller spaces around the farm and carries another perk: Cut grass is transferred directly into the inventory, instead of being left for baling.
Additionally, a wide variety of changes and bug fixes is introduced. Functionality of attached mowing machinery and equipment has been improved, while the dealerships have been re-stocked with available vehicles. Workers can be ordered to sow and also harvest and sell the grass, if suitable equipment is available.
Farmer’s Dynasty 2 (incl. the ‘Mowing Update’) is available in Early Access on PC via Steam, GOG.com and Epic Games Store. More information on the game can be found on the respective store pages. Join our official Discord to get the latest news on Farmer’s Dynasty 2 and stay up-to-date on all the other projects from Toplitz Productions.

The Halloween Massacre runs 1–31 October 2026 and hands every player a weapon that ignores stats entirely.
The Fifth Family, the free-to-play mafia RPG that launched in March 2026, today announced the Halloween Massacre — a month-long in-game event running from 1 to 31 October 2026 across browser, iOS and Android.
At the centre of it is Halloween Spirit, a consumable that removes the usual rules of combat. Spending one instantly hospitalises any rival the player chooses, regardless of how far apart their stats sit. It costs no stamina and ignores the daily fight limit, which means a level 20 newcomer can put a level 200 veteran on the hospital floor. Each landed hit is worth +1 Event Score and 10 Pumpkin Coins, and a player may hit any given rival once per day.
Spirit is earned rather than bought. The first successful crime, intel job and career shift each day are each guaranteed to drop one, and every success after that rolls for more against a shared daily cap that doubles at weekends. Nothing in the event is sold for real money.
Gear that grows with the player
Every item in the event uses the game’s Variable Rarity system. A piece starts at Common and climbs through ten rarities to Fifth Family Mythic by level 180, so the same reward scales to whoever owns it — a new player and a veteran both receive something useful. All Halloween equipment is permanent and untradeable.
The rewards include five costumes, the seven-piece Reaper Set, two Legendary pets, an exclusive Día de Muertos motorcycle, a profile frame and two badges. Six Reaper Set pieces are available in the Pumpkin Coin Shop, with the seventh, Reaper’s Finger, earned at Score 150. A full Mythic set grants +10.5% Agility and Dexterity.
What is in the event
31 days of login calendar rewards, claimable through to 1 November.
16 score milestones paying 3,000 Pumpkin Coins in total plus gear, pets and a badge.
34 items in the Pumpkin Coin Shop.
14 exclusive gear items and 2 Legendary pets.
Two competitions running side by side — a global leaderboard, and a separate internal contest inside each player-created family.

Launched on 29 March 2026, it spans ten city districts, 100 crimes and 100 legitimate careers, with stat-driven PvP, player-run families, rackets, property, smuggling, heists and a player-driven item market. Among Shadows, the asymmetric PvP social deduction game set during an ancient apocalyptic infection from TMXN Games, unmasks enemies on PC via Steam on Q4 2026. Stave off infection and slay monsters while watching out for traitors in the new Steam Next Fest demo, running 19 October – 26 October.
Investigate a plague-ridden kingdom as an Envoy of the Order of the Secret Fire and halt a mysterious infection within three days. When the sun rises, seek clues, gather resources, and use workbenches to upgrade gear or craft tools in preparation for the battles ahead. Choose from ten distinct jobs inspired by diverse cultures and challenge corrupted bosses in fast-paced soulslike combat. Wield a lethal blade as a Japanese Samurai, deliver a powerful holy strike as a medieval Paladin, or conjure a swirling hurricane as a shamanistic Wind Whistler.
Defeat three challenging bosses or keep the infection score below the required threshold to save the country within three days as an Envoy. If the score remains within the danger zone, the Blood Moon rises and awakens the undead on the final day.
Confront the hordes of rotten creatures alongside fellow Envoys in hack-and-slash combat. Defend the Convoy from relentless assaults to obtain victory as the Envoys, or seize control of the battlefield as an Apostle and assassinate the Lord at any cost to secure a bloody triumph.
Purify infected wells alongside fellow Envoys: each well requires votes from multiple players to complete the purification process. Underworld Apostles, disguised players aiming to spread corruption, secretly coordinate to sabotage these efforts.
As one of these hidden traitors, contaminate wells to increase the Infection Score at the risk of exposure, or support purification to conceal the disguise while planning for the Envoys’ downfall. When night falls, the party calls a Judgment: each member casts a vote to root out possible traitors. Eliminate the Underworld Apostles, or inadvertently allow evil to live another day.
Among Shadows will launch on PC via Steam Early Access in Q4 2026 for $10.99, including language support for English, Korean, Japanese, Simplified and Traditional Chinese.
Would the release window of Among Shadows be a good news item to share with your readers? Check out the demo during Steam Next Fest, and please consider it for any “Best of” event roundup articles you may be planning!
