Among Shadows, the asymmetric PvP social deduction game set during an ancient apocalyptic infection from TMXN Games, unmasks enemies on PC via Steam on Q4 2026. Stave off infection and slay monsters while watching out for traitors in the new Steam Next Fest demo, running 19 October – 26 October.
Investigate a plague-ridden kingdom as an Envoy of the Order of the Secret Fire and halt a mysterious infection within three days. When the sun rises, seek clues, gather resources, and use workbenches to upgrade gear or craft tools in preparation for the battles ahead. Choose from ten distinct jobs inspired by diverse cultures and challenge corrupted bosses in fast-paced soulslike combat. Wield a lethal blade as a Japanese Samurai, deliver a powerful holy strike as a medieval Paladin, or conjure a swirling hurricane as a shamanistic Wind Whistler.
Defeat three challenging bosses or keep the infection score below the required threshold to save the country within three days as an Envoy. If the score remains within the danger zone, the Blood Moon rises and awakens the undead on the final day.
Confront the hordes of rotten creatures alongside fellow Envoys in hack-and-slash combat. Defend the Convoy from relentless assaults to obtain victory as the Envoys, or seize control of the battlefield as an Apostle and assassinate the Lord at any cost to secure a bloody triumph.
Purify infected wells alongside fellow Envoys: each well requires votes from multiple players to complete the purification process. Underworld Apostles, disguised players aiming to spread corruption, secretly coordinate to sabotage these efforts.
As one of these hidden traitors, contaminate wells to increase the Infection Score at the risk of exposure, or support purification to conceal the disguise while planning for the Envoys’ downfall. When night falls, the party calls a Judgment: each member casts a vote to root out possible traitors. Eliminate the Underworld Apostles, or inadvertently allow evil to live another day.
Among Shadows will launch on PC via Steam Early Access in Q4 2026 for $10.99, including language support for English, Korean, Japanese, Simplified and Traditional Chinese.
