The Halloween Massacre runs 1–31 October 2026 and hands every player a weapon that ignores stats entirely.
The Fifth Family, the free-to-play mafia RPG that launched in March 2026, today announced the Halloween Massacre — a month-long in-game event running from 1 to 31 October 2026 across browser, iOS and Android.

At the centre of it is Halloween Spirit, a consumable that removes the usual rules of combat. Spending one instantly hospitalises any rival the player chooses, regardless of how far apart their stats sit. It costs no stamina and ignores the daily fight limit, which means a level 20 newcomer can put a level 200 veteran on the hospital floor. Each landed hit is worth +1 Event Score and 10 Pumpkin Coins, and a player may hit any given rival once per day.
Spirit is earned rather than bought. The first successful crime, intel job and career shift each day are each guaranteed to drop one, and every success after that rolls for more against a shared daily cap that doubles at weekends. Nothing in the event is sold for real money.
Gear that grows with the player
Every item in the event uses the game’s Variable Rarity system. A piece starts at Common and climbs through ten rarities to Fifth Family Mythic by level 180, so the same reward scales to whoever owns it — a new player and a veteran both receive something useful. All Halloween equipment is permanent and untradeable.
The rewards include five costumes, the seven-piece Reaper Set, two Legendary pets, an exclusive Día de Muertos motorcycle, a profile frame and two badges. Six Reaper Set pieces are available in the Pumpkin Coin Shop, with the seventh, Reaper’s Finger, earned at Score 150. A full Mythic set grants +10.5% Agility and Dexterity.
What is in the event
- 31 days of login calendar rewards, claimable through to 1 November.
- 16 score milestones paying 3,000 Pumpkin Coins in total plus gear, pets and a badge.
- 34 items in the Pumpkin Coin Shop.
- 14 exclusive gear items and 2 Legendary pets.
- Two competitions running side by side — a global leaderboard, and a separate internal contest inside each player-created family.
