First revealed exclusively on the cover of Game Informer magazine’s current February issue, Evolve will be available this spring for Xbox One, the all-in-one games and entertainment system from Microsoft, PlayStation®4 computer entertainment system, and Windows PC.

In addition to revealing Evolve, Game Informer details Goliath, the first monster included in the game, and the first squad of four hunters, each with their own unique classes and abilities.

“Our philosophy is to build incredibly fun game experiences that we can’t find anywhere else,” said Chris Ashton, co-founder and design director at Turtle Rock Studios. “Evolve’s co-op vs. lone wolf formula has created some of the most intense multiplayer matches we’ve ever experienced.”

Evolve will be a generation-defining multiplayer experience,” said Christoph Hartmann, president of 2K. “As our first new IP for next-gen systems, 2K is working with Turtle Rock Studios to deliver a game that’s instantly entertaining and impossible to put down.”

Nippon Ichi working on a ‘Yandere Hell’ PS3 game

future-diary-part-1-review- (3)

Here’s a breakout sounding title for you. Today thanks to the latest issue of Dengeki PlayStation, courtesy of Re:Zaregoto, Nippon Ichi Software is working on a new PlayStation 3 game and it just so happens to be roughly be called “I Thought it’d be Harem Paradise, but it was Yandere Hell.”

Currently details are relatively scarce but it is said that the game is a visual novel that will follow the theme of “mascot characters” and high school girls. Currently the game is set for release on April 24th in Japan and you can probably expect more details to be revealed in the next few days, and maybe even an NIS America localization might be in the cards somewhere in the future depending on those details.

The Wolf Among Us Episode 2 to be released in early February

wolf-among-us-screenshot-02

While fans of Telltale Games were pleased to see the second season of The Walking Dead start last month, a number of fans have also been curious about when they would be seeing the second episode of The Wolf Among Us. The first episode, our review of which can be found here, was originally released in early October and fans of the episodic series have been eager to see how the story will continue.

Well it seems that they won’t have to wait too much longer as, in a forum thread, Telltale president Kevin Bruner revealed that Episode 2 will be released in the first week of February. The reason the episode was delayed is due to a “variety of reasons” but did not elaborate as to what those reasons were beyond saying that “several things conspired against us” and that the holidays also played a role in the delay.

Horizon Set to Explore Full Release to Steam in February

0

After making it to Steam in beta through Early Access, Horizon is gearing up to release this February onto the digital platform. The space-strategy from Iceberg Interactive, publishers of Gas Guzzlers Extreme, and developer L3O Interactive is just now finishing up the final weeks of beta to prep the game for the full launch.

Based around the same concepts of 4X, the community influence has had a big hand in the final touches, including the addition of “Classic 4X” mode, which gives players 1 of 8 races to choose from to conquer a whole universe. Plus, players can expect a lot in the way of customization from races, to ships, to research branches.

Those wanting to see what Horizon has to offer can hop on into the Early Access on PC from Steam now, or wait until the final release hits in February 2014, while those in Europe can expect a retail box release as well.

Monster Monpiece English screenshots and PEGI listing discovered

Genkai-Totsuki-Monster-Monpisu

Back when Idea Factory opened up their international branch in North America I believedthat it might make a few of their titles a bit easier to see in the West, especially a few of the more risque titles such as Monster Monpiece and it looks like all signs may be pointing towards that prediction coming true.

Not only has Idea Factory International’s official website provided us with four English screenshots of Monster Monpiece but a PEGI listing, originally found by NeoGAF, has also appeared for the game which rates the game for anyone twelve years or older. Now at the moment no actual localization has been announced as of yet, but Vita fans can only hope. For now, have an English description of the game, also from Idea Factory’s website:

God’s hammer struck twice, punishing the of world of Yafaniel below…
In the world of Yafaniel, humans and an unusual species called “monster girls” coexist.
May Esperio, an Academy student from Kunaguva, is training hard to become a “master” of monster girls with her best friends, Elza and Karen.
However, after an encounter with a mysterious stranger, Elza became “Lost”, a victim of a strange affliction that plagues both humans and monster girls.
Elza and the monster girls in her service have begun stealing the Magus Quartzes that are held in each of Yafaniel’s major cities.
May decides to travel the world pursuing Elza in an attempt to cure her. However, May knows that if she fails to save Elza, the whole world may be destroyed!
